Mary Goes Round and Little Nemo are by far my two favorite coldwave bands. I love the genre as a whole, but these two bands have been on repeat for many years for me.
I also recomend you Asylum Party, another great coldwave band.

I slept on both of these bands because of their names... peripherally aware of them for years because of their affiliation with Asylum Party but only just checking them out. My mistake - this is great. Similar tonality and structure to Asylum Party but but with a harder edge, like JAMC.

Découverts grâce à OuïFM à Paris, Mary Goes Round et leur 1er premier album nous donnaient un son cold pop, un peu maladroit parfois comme Little Nemo, mais vraiment nouveau. Mary's Garden est parfait. Même avec le clip et ses spirales Vapona à la fin. Leur son n'a d'équivalent dans aucune chapelle.

"Cold pop"... effectivement c'est bien ça ;-) ! Sans oublier Asylum Party dans la même veine, mais plus sombre et moins pop.

Underneath all the shoegaze, this song is a well written pop song. With different instrumentation, this could sound like a Lee Hazelwood tune.

I dont understand why French bands sing in english. French is more appropriate langues espicially for post-punk and coldwave. Wish they made these beautiful songs in french. Not in english...
