Whoever is taking the GED exam must visit his website and learn. I have been struggling with slopes and functions. I couldn't understand those at school. I found this website and watched his video, and then I finally understood those. During the GED real test, there were a lot of functions. If I had not found this channel earlier, I would not have passed the GED real math exam. Thanks a lot to this channel. I will be telling my friends about this!
Came here to say I got my ged April 2nd thanks to you and David Cohan I passed with flying colors and now got a career out of it and I also enrolled in college ! I’m going to be pursuing nursing ! Thank you so much you explained math better than any of my teachers I had
That's amazing!! Thank you for taking the time to share your journey! What a super exciting time and new career ahead 😃 You'll do great work in your community, keep achieving your aspirations!
@@GetSumMath you are doing great work ! I even show my sister who’s in highschool your videos and she’s been passing her classes so far ! Thank you for sparing time to teach us that don’t have time to go to a class 💕
Thank you man, from the bottom of my heart. I just passed with a 153 (I failed my last one by 1 point), The biggest weight of my shoulders and my chest is now gone. You're content is truly a blessing keep up the amazing work man. Without you I'd still be struggling right now.
Regaining peace of mind and balance is the hidden treasure of life! I’m humbled to hear your kind words and that this weight has been lifted! Life is good when that balance is restored!! 🙏🏼

I'm going for my 5th try as well. Thank you for posting this because I feel like giving up at times. Glad you didn't give up! Your hard work paid off. Congratulations 👏 I hope to pass this time.
Hey there, the 144 is the area of a square that is 1 foot on each side, or 12 inches on each side. The area is length times width, or 12 times 12, which give 144 for the area of 1 square foot. Hope that helps some!
Hey Lisa, I will add one to the queue! I may not be able to get to it for awhile, but here is a video with HiSet math problems in the meantime! ua-cam.com/video/-f5xhYPf-uo/v-deo.html
QUESTION 10: Why don't you need the top/bottom to be part of the equation for the tree wrap? Is it because it's a hollow cylinder? How will I know when to calculate the outer and inner surface area ? Thanks
Exactly, like you said, it’s a hollow cylinder so we don’t need the top or bottom. This is an unusual question, so most times you’ll do the full surface area. But one example is an ice cream cone. You could use a cone and a sphere (for the ice cream). You may have half the sphere showing, so it’s a cone without the circle part (since ice creams in it) and half of the surface area of a sphere (since only half of the ice cream is showing). Hope that makes sense!
@GetSumMath Yes, it makes sense. Thanks a million. I was just worried that in case I got a question like that on the GED,but since it's not a common/usual question on the test , I'm good now.
Good question - since 2 and 3/4 is the diameter, we need the radius to plug into the volume formula. We'll always divide the diameter by 2 to find the radius, so that's what we did for that one there to get a radius of 1.375. Hope that helps!
Hey there, that comes from us needing the answer in "square feet." Since 1 foot is 12 inches, to find the area of a square foot (a square that's one foot on each side), it's 12 inches • 12 inches to get that area. It's a bit confusing, but I hope that helps!

Can you make a video on what be on the hiset math because I'm taking the hiset math test not the regular GED.

Are we able to use the calculator in like this questions??
Yup! They give you the same calculator that I show in these videos 🙂
You make math look easyyy😮

I hace My test today 🎉 question this carculator comes un they test or can we use ours ?
There is a digital version on the screen, but if you take it in person, they should give you an actual calculator, too. Good luck!! 👍🏼
Jennifer thank you for the video
You’re welcome! 🙏🏼
Hey man at 5:45 where'd you get the 2 from to divide the fraction?
Good question - since 2 and 3/4 is the diameter, we need the radius to plug into the volume formula. We'll always divide the diameter by 2 to find the radius, so that's what we did for that one there to get a radius of 1.375. Hope that helps!
I have my test tomorrow 13 hours from now and that last question was equal parts terrifying and informative 😂😂😂
😆 Yeah that one’s very challenging. Good luck yo! Keep us posted!! 🙏🏼
On the last question how did you get 12 inches ?
Hey there, that comes from us needing the answer in "square feet." Since 1 foot is 12 inches, to find the area of a square foot (a square that's one foot on each side), it's 12 inches • 12 inches to get that area. It's a bit confusing, but I hope that helps!
I literally hit 45÷2 and got it correct by luck 😅😅
Let’s go! 😆
I am so appreciative of these videos!
