The other thing I want to add is that the entire planet is considered Gilgamesh's garden, so if someone feels annoyed by Gilgamesh, then that person should leave the planet.

When he was a child, he respected them but did not obey them. According to Enkidu, Gil's respect for the gods began to decrease as he grew older. Alter Ego is actually the teenage version of himself, so *THINK.* according to Enkidu, Gil, is not like him because Gil had a soul from the beginning (Gil's soul is worth a few hundred thousand souls), while Enkidu did not have a soul, but was just a weapon. When the Alter Ego awakened, he used 100% pure human energy and gave up his divinity. In addition to all this, the desire of the Mesopotamian gods is for Gil to submit humanity to them, but Alter Ego Gil here raises humanity to be Gods themselves.

Honestly it’s my personal favorite Fate series. The character arcs in it are just fantastic, especially Sigma and Ayaka, plus I really enjoy Narita’s writing. I do highly recommend it.

@@E0ns In the F/SN novel she quickly ate him and muched on him while he could barely react (which is closer to your statement). In the Heavens feel movie, Gilgamesh lived long enough to see it was to late for him to stop her and basically was gawking at her while he died.

Nasu said that Sakura transformed Gilgamesh into mana quickly because if she delayed, he would split her from the inside out. He then added that after she transformed Gil into mana, Sakura collapsed due to the enormous amount of energy that Gilgamesh carried. Anyway, Gilgamesh in FSN is not his real character
@@yarigold his death in the VN was much more dignified. It was mentioned that his soul had the weight of a 100 regular humans and Sakura had to quickly finish eating otherwise he would have killed her from the inside out. In the VN, the shadow was legit afraid of Gil

The king stood 10 toes deep with both of his ops pressing him. Shot in three places he maintained composure to talk his talk. Even when the op brought out the Op stoppa the king refused to do anything but to stand on business. Even in the face of his apparent death he stood on business. Now the king has returned and will continue to stand on business.
I like to think about Gils clairvoyance and how much i respect him not using it. Dropping the key was his fault but its something he could've easily looked into to see the ramifications but no. He sticks to his words and actions as a king. He doesn't once second guess himself qnd even when everything went to shit he still stood 10 toes down after tanking hydra venom laced arrows and the curse of pestilence with the same arrogant smile he had at the start. He didn't make excuses, he didn't break under pressure, he stayed himself when anyone and rightfully so would've cracked. He is the goat.

From what is already translated, it's a Gilgamesh stripped of his divinity, never met Enkidu & successfully seperated humans & gods.
He has no kindness, only cruelty, and his only goal is to raise humanity to the levels of gods. He's fully human now & can't use Ea or Enkidu, but fights more like his mythical self (proto gil in a way) and spams GoB + Sha Naqba Imuru (his OP clairvoyance that would win him any fight).
He's apparently completely goal oriented & doesn't mess around.

Gil's mistake is throwing away the key to the Gate of Babylon because he said only those foolish enough would choose to use the key.
Unfortunately, he never considered Ishtar. Which will be automatically summoned in instance where Gil and Enkidu are summoned at the same time.

No, Ishtar used the key Gilgamesh had thrown away right after his summoning and closed it
The key used to open Gil's Treasury, the very same key used to summon him, would normally grant access to the Gates of Babylon. However, since it was the legitimate key Gil had his people make back in Uruk so those centuries ago, Ishtar managed to use it to close the gates instead, locking Gil out

So honestly we don't know how current alcides would do against that Gil but the gil that has come back I'm told is stronger then regular Gil tho. (Pepol have explained him as basically a lost belt king version of himself)

@user-xo1cj9ne7f I havint read the novel myself that mostly fans translated so sorry if this is in the text but for those who don't read it as well and wodint know the from hell is Jack the killer (beserker) Nobel phantasm that gave him both a boost to his magic power and gave him wings he can use at will.
We don't know if he takes the full power tho. All we know is that buff increased his magic power many times BUT for instance maybe the buff supost to give say 10× you're magic power and he got 4× his magic power (great since his base stats are higher but not a 1 to 1 buff). Or maybe he does get the full boost it isn't stated either way so we can only speculate how mutch power he got.
At that time?? A 100% gil
9 lives was alcides's best bet to win against gil and enkidu was able to yeet multiple (probably around 6) of them using just one spear so gilgamesh can probably do the same, if not, he just summons the original 9 lives to counter it since he had it in prisma illya and after that alcides is ded, there is a reason why gil vs alcides was always interrupted, it was to keep alcides alive as the final raid boss
But afterwards, alcides absorbs gugalanna, at that point he should be way stronger than gilgamesh
Alter ego would be interesting though, its going to be a free for all against alcides, AE gil and hyppolita in vol 10 which is next year so we will get a hit on AE gil's strength next year

Extra CCC is the real deal. It's the Fate media that took Gilgamesh when he was nothing more than a typical, generic villain and turned him into one of the most well-developed and fleshed out characters in the series. There's a reason why Gilgamesh is *arguably* the most popular male character in Fate
