I think Sandrone indeed is that little lady, cuz in this PV every harbinger has that white furry coat on them and I think that's their "SPECIAL UNIFORM", which customizes everyone no matter how tall (Pierrot) or short ( Puccinella) they are. But that big robot has no uniform and gets those runes on his arms just like the ruin gard, so I think he's just a puppet.
also in the scene when you see all of the harbingers they all have the chain insignia thing on the right side of their coats. Because the girl has it she is probably the harbinger

@@sureyeah3678 that’s actually a good way to put it. The Abyss and Pierro seem to want to take revenge and reshape the world to the image they want, while Dainsleif just wants to put an end to the conflict and have Tevyat move on together instead of against each other.

I don't see many people asking themselves how bad or how good the divine is nowadays, from my perspective the whole main story is about the damage theyve caused but yeah
Fun fact : The trailer is called " A Winter Night's Lazzo,” and lazzi are basically stock skits in the commedia. One of the lazzo involves a character being mistaken for dead. There's a lot of them most notably the revival and undead lazzos. Basically the point is there’s still a slight chance for Signora depending on what MHY decides to do from here, guess we’ll have to see!
I keep getting amazed at how Signora fans keep getting sustainable-ish reasons as to why she’s coming back, like some of them have actual merit to them.
But with Her Majesty freezing her coffin, i think Rosalyne is already DEAD dead. If there's way for bringing her back to life, i think they won't held such a symbolic funeral for her (and for Tsaritsa to stick the last nail in the coffin, literally, by freezing it). I mean, by how the Harbingers hold her in such a high regard, Tsaritsa must be quite a character that won't be emotional enough to mistook someone's death.

Columbina could be connected to the seelies as well, there's a theory that's she appears in 'A Drunkard's Tale' singing the song of the seelies. If she is a descendant of the seelies it would make sense why she's so powerful.
Indeed! I also think that she is either the last living seelie, or an angel connected to the Primordial One. Both of these identities would make sense.
I doubt most of them are human tbh, but pierro being human is quite a nice touch with dain "we human have our humanity" saying. So maybe the fatui will also make great influence in the story even after snezhnaya

There’s an ex-opera singer who did a video about the Fatui Harbingers called MarcoMeatball (I swear, he’s actually pretty insightful, despite having not played the game much) and he goes a little in-depth into the Commedia Dell’Arte that might shed some more light on these characters. Might be interesting to watch, if you have the time.
It's insane how his guesses on certain characters are spot on despite never playing the game and only basing it on the music. HIs Rex Incognito reaction was incredible.

Weird that characters from Khaenri’ah tend to conceal the right side of their face. Pierro’s mask kinda looks like a more extravagant version of Dainsleif’s, which could potentially be indicative of their relative strengths, or their rank in Khaenri’ah before the cataclysm.
And one of materials spawn by Husk (I think) resemble Odin-like character with a Red Eye. And that object talk about a King. Plus Gunhildr Jean talk about The clorious King of K too... Idk maybe something is special about this specific eye idk
Another interesting note about Pierro playing with the chessboard is that he’s using his hands to move the pieces but in the previous shot, we see that the white knight piece moved by itself to take out the black pawn. Since it was covered in a faint frost, it could be that the person playing with Pierro to be the cryo archon. This would also explain her presence in other parts of the video with the freezing tapestry and Signora’s tomb freezing over so fast
There were multiple frames kinda telling us that Tsaritsa was there in the room with them. Knight piece moving with a cryo power, hanging curtain thing starting to freeze, cryo particles flowing from the left side of the screen in the frame of side view of the chess board and the frame after the all harbingers around the coffin frame, freezing the whole tomb and surrounding area (cmon who else could it be), and lastly I think that all harbingers around the coffin frame was in Tsaritsa's POV.

I think its somehow referencing the "all seeing eye" in a way. Clearly khaenri'ah has aggressive connections to one eyed symbolism. The black serpent knights drop this little statue thing that is missing an eye and it clearly references kaeyas father and what he said to him when he left him. It also says its probably a statue of an "important figure" or "divine being" which to me makes it seem like its perhaps a symbol of khaenri'ahn royalty. So maybe since khaenri'ah didn't have a god they worshipped royalty like gods, and maybe a symbol of khaenri'ahn royalty or important figures in khaenri'ah (like dain being the twilight sword) is the all seeing eye.
Kaeyas eyepatch is a separate model in game which means it can be taken off. I've glitched the game to see whats under his eyepatch and i wont say what it is here but its weird that he tries to hide it since it could be explained away easily unless theres other things going on with his eye we cant see.
Unless I'm forgetting a line in another quest (probable), Diluc's voice line for Kaeya is "You can only trust half of what he says... at best." I've always taken that to mean essentially what you're saying: He says a lot, and only half of it is important. He's not really telling straight-up lies, but it is masterful obfuscation. I see him more as that person that tells seemingly inane stories, and likes to see if people catch what he's actually telling them.
Also Diluc is notoriously very angry at Kaeya so maybe he's exaggerating. I honestly really don't want Kaeya to be evil and turn against Mond only because he's from Kaehnriah. I just think it would be lazy and kinda boring? He acts so shady that everyone basically expects him to do sth and we already have the Abyss sibling and now Pierro as Kaehnriahn antagonists... Idk Id like for Kaeya to just not turn against Mond even if he struggles with it.
There is a trait that Childe does share with his Commedia counterpart, at least metaphorically. Tartaglia is also frequently depicted as being short sighted, on top of his stutter. Which while Childe doesn't need glasses, he has shown himself to only think a few moves ahead. His attacking us for stealing the Gnosis which he later realises we couldn't have (with his death or Glory mode, no less), and more famously, his plan to summon Osial to bait out Morax so he could beat him up and take his gnosis. There is no way that fight goes Childe's way, even ignoring back to back uses of foul legacy.
I kinda thought the "stuttering" part of Tartaglia was when he's panicking when making up excuses about being a Toyseller for Teucer, like in his story quest where he suddenly made a speech about kites lol
About Pantalone: One of Childe's line mentioned the possibility of meeting his Segment. This raised the possibility of Dottore cloning his fellow Harbingers (with or without their knowledge or consent). Baizhu could be one of Pantalone's Segment, used in Liyue exclusively, forgoing Pantalone (Prime) needs to ever step foot out of the igloo (as Arlecino so put it). About Capitano: Captain Snezhnaya reminds me so much of the Witch-king of Angmar (LOTR), who was a human king twisted into serving a dark lord. This could be a parallel to your idea that a yaksha was corrupted by the karma, got killed by his fellow but did not die.
That Pantalone theory is quite interesting... I don't personally buy it, since there isn't much evidence to back it up, but intriguing nonetheless. I imagine Baizhu was meant to be an exact replica, but something went wrong. He ended up with similar traits to Mr. Pants, but there ended up being very noticeable differences. (Possibly due it being the first time Dottore truly got the chance to clone someone other than himself, and he messed up) It would also explain his sickness, if his creation didn't go as planned, I imagine that would cause at least some health issues...

I have a personal theory that the Commedia tropes don't represent the Harbingers as the people they currently are, but rather represent who they used to be pre-Harbinger. EG: Tartaglia isnt a stuttering incompetent, but her certainly may have been before his stint in the Abyss and tutelage under Skirk. Regrator WAS a stingy Mora obsessed miser when he was still a poor peasant, but now that he's wealthy and powerful he's bitter and cynical of the entire system to begin with. Capitano isnt "all talk cocky" like the trope currently, he's the real deal, but he may very well HAVE been a cocky military officer who found himself completely inadequate in the face of a REAL brutal, bloody catastrophe (Khanri'ah?). Dottore WAS merely a naiive but earnest scientist at first, but his pursuit of heretical research eventually turned him into the Harbinger of today. etc etc. No idea if this will pan out and I've not explored it in detail, it just seemed to fit for their tropes and made more sense Chronologically - their title was given to them as a representation of who they WERE, rather than who they're trying to be. Edit: Also "The game does not end with Checkmate" to me reads more as "This is not a war where as soon as we take down the enemy leader they surrender, this is a war of annihilation that will keep going until either all of us or every last enemy is dead and gone".
honestly this really fits because that does seem like it was the case for Childe, his backstory states that "As a child, Tartaglia was frightened and hesitant" but the Abyss and training with Skirk fundamentally changed him into a bloodthirsty warrior at the age of 14
This also is interesting because the stories and tropes are "destiny" given by the divine. and THAT is what they are going against. They are fools who is trying to defy the destiny. "heavenly principles" is mostly related to waves that mortals cannot defy, so therefore in east asian cultures those who tries are depicted as fools. fatui means fools. so this could be the case where they go against their trope. "reverse" the trope.
Capitano being number 2 kinda makes sense. Him being the "Captain" probably makes him the highest ranking military official in Snezhnaya. Which would most likely make him in charge of all the non-harbinger Fatui enemies that we fight.
so a few things about signora. the coffin is empty, in a few cultures they have empty coffins. and while I personally do not care whatsoever if shes playable, khaenri'ah is a playable region, at least according the travail trailer. the problem is it's destroyed. so my personal theory is we meet istaroth, and travel back in time to khaenri'ah to have the storyline happen there. then, we could meet and play dead characters, such as Rosalyne.
That's what's always bothered me about Genshin's timeline, like how the Khaenri'ah chapter is after Snezhnaya and why it isn't Act 7 but Act ??. It's because of time travel, which is already established in the lore with Raiden's story quest. It was kinda hidden in plain sight too, like how we can use Paimon to manipulate time and how we're called "Traveler". I'm gonna assume some horrible shit is gonna happen at the end of Snezhnaya's chapter or at the beginning of Khaenri'ah chapter with the Tsaritsa fighting against Celestia, then we'd have to travel back in time. That way, many more characters could be playable, like the original Archons (such as Makoto), Rosalyne, the other Yaksha...

Childe says that Sandrone mostly stays to herself and builds robots, so I'm pretty sure the girl is the harbinger. I think the ruin machine is like a butler or something.
@@angelicgacha personally I'm a big fan of this idea purely because of how unique it'd make her as a playable character if she had that robot carrying her around constantly, I could picture her having no actual offence of her own with her abilities just going towards buffing the robot while it fights and defends her.
as a student the first thing i saw in pantalone's constellation was the invisible hand theory from Adam Smith . It's an economics theory ( very dumbed down explanation ) that social or greater good comes out of accumulated self interest. interesting to think abt !
I find it kind of interesting how The Harbingers (more specifically Capitano, Arlecchino, Childe) seem like opposites of their Commedia Dell’Arte counterparts. Il Capitano was boastful and a bragger while The Captain seems more collected and focused on the task at hand (he was the only one during the funeral to question about Scaramouche). Arlecchino was usually a man and a comic relief character. In Genshin, Arlecchino is a woman and way more serious and brooding. Tartaglia was a old man, while Childe is the youngest Harbinger. I don't know, just something to think about. Great video, Kai.
Pantaloon who is an old man in Commedia Dell'arte but in genshin verison he an young good looking man Scaramouche is probably the closest to his Commedia countpart with his villainous trait and begin a foreigners
Also maybe the harbingers are letting Scaramouche take the gnosis, because he may be the only one who can activated. The reason I’m saying this is because Venti’s and Zhongli’s gnosis where taken away directly from them, whereas Ei might’ve deactivated hers before giving it to Yae. Thus there’s the need of someone, with partial god authority, to activate it.
Signora went to ask Raiden for the gnosis and seal the deal, was she expecting raiden to have it or was she just asking for approval to take it from Yae?
What if Arlecchino is from the "slums" of fontaine? She has a bit of disdain for the banker and the aristocracy. I wonder if she was an orphan going hungry in the slums until someone saved her and let her feel the "love" of the tsaritsa. Probably why she runs an orphanage as well. She went through that and doesn't want other "kids" to experience the pain.
Arlecchino definitely has a fontaine vibe to her, if that makes any sense. I was definitely thinking that we'd first actually meet her for the first time in Fontaine
The Fatuus sent to the Chasm were apparently there to fight against the Abyss and Katarina's quest hints that the people of Teyvat would one day join them in a final fight.
The thing that's bugging me the most is the colour of the gems on their coats. Maybe it's just a character design decision, but I feel they have some deeper meaning. I thought it could possibly tied to rank: 1 - 5 = white, 6 - 7 = Orange, 8 - 9 = purple and 10 - 11 = red. But Capitano's being black(?) is throwing me off. It could also be tied to skillset/job within the harbingers perhaps? The other thing that I've noticed is that every country seems to have a harbinger who is tied to that country in some way: Mondstadt: Signora, Inazuma: Scaramouche, Sumeru: Dottore, Liyue: Pantalone(?), Fotaine: Sandrone(?) and Khaenriah: Pierro. All except for Natlan. Maybe Capitano is tied to Natlan in some way? But that theory is just process of elimination at this point.
Scaramouche and Signora don’t have them. I’m pretty sure it’s an afterthought, when they figured out they want to somehow unify Harbingers, so they picked the gem from Childe and made it a thing across all Harbingers. Therefore, the colors are probably just cosmetic.
diluc's skin also has it. so cant be rank. it is probably a part of the delusion. maybe to stablize the energy so you dont have ill effects or elemental energy poisoning? you dont need to have a vision to weild it but we know visions can protect against elemental radiation but how do delusion barers protect against it? given that its the harbingers and diluc's delusion skin who has it, I am assuming its something connected to delusions. maybe the colour is how much energy the crystals have absorbed?

Another good one! For Capitano, what are the chances he's the hero survivor of Sal Vindagnyr and joined the Fatui to get back at Celestia? Love can make people go bonkers in the world of Hoyoverse. Being the hero would make sense of his honest approach while turning a blind eye to the questionable actions of his comrades because this will aid his revenge. I can't think of him as a Yaksha since most of them live to fight due to the contract with Rex Lapis. Honor isn't their primary reason to fight, unlike the Sal Vindagnyr hero.
I like this. I do think it weird that her gnosis isn't on the board, maybe it's locked up. It doesn't make too much sense on why she'd still have it though. I kind of thought it could be the black queen, probably the most interesting piece on the fatui board. But it's more likely to be white at the very least, only half the pieces so far so who knows.

i have a pet theory about the peacock, because in zoroastrianism the peacock is a symbol of angra mainyu, all of the worlds evil, but the thing is its the one thing he made that wasnt evil. to me this shows an idea of the father of kaeya wanted "evil" but kaeya does not. i also think our dear knave may turn to our side for her benefit or ideological reasons. i also wonder that if pierro is playing for the tsaritsa, who is the player for celestia, who could be the one commanding the demons gods given names from the ars goetia.

In my country, there's a saying that when the palm of your hand itches it means you'll become rich, because the itching of the palm symbolizes money being placed into your hand. So I also believe that Pantallone is the Hand Constellation. Also Arleccino is so similar to how I imagined the Hydro Archon would be like. Princely, Dignified, and a symbol of Justice which is kinda funny.
unfortunately i didn't depict the hydro archon as you lol. from the hydro gemstones we can receive and craft, seems like the hydro archon is someone full of herself (she does have reasons, granted). she seeks to judge others (especially all gods) and thinks highly of herself but even she becomes a coward against the divine. the hydro archon is conceited and egoistic. so i'd imagine her as pretty pristine asshole route rather than dashing lady. nonetheless, arlecchino subverted my expectations. i thought she'd be a man and pulcinella would be a woman. a handsome woman in genshin isn't pulled of quite well, so I'm looking forward to see who she is and what she is capable of. her eyes is probably the most remarkable feature!
Have you watched Marco Meatballs Fatui and comedia dell’arte explanation? It’s very insightful as his Italian opera background and knowledge of performing arts really gives a deeper perspective.
Either way as long as Kaeya and Diluc gets more screentime I'm happy cause they're literally the most connected in the main plot (Lisa and Amber goes as far as Sumeru and Jean's connection only goes as far as the others goes which isn't very far as long as she's acting grand master)
I just love how this small trailer throws everybody in a frenzy and theories are popping from everywhere, people lining it back to old theories, to other scenes, to lines hidden in profiles... the excitation around it is so much fun.
Capitano's hair gave me more native american warrior vibes tbh. I'm gonna guess he's the harbinger that's going to be from Natlan if Hoyoverse is doing a nationality checklist. The other harbingers don't have any connection to Natlan as far as we know.
So Rosalyne from Mondstadt, Scaramouche from Inazuma, Childe from Snezhnaya (spelling), and Pierro from Khaenriah. Pantalone is theorised to be from Liyue, and if what you said is true then that leaves Fontaine and Sumeru. I think Sandrone is from Fontaine, since their entire nation is sort of an industrial/technological marvel compared to the rest. They have hot air balloons and they created the kameras among other things. Sandrone creates "marionettes", puppets, and definitely works on ruin guards. So that leaves Sumeru, and I honestly have no idea who this could be.
That little side note about all the elf people we’ve seen being short mad me realize that Alice might not have the pyro Lisa literal mommy vibes I’ve been imagining… Although it seems to me like a child or teen model wouldn’t fit her current voice acting (at least in en I haven’t heard the others)

I love that the comedia characters are opposite of the harbinger.. their personalities, tropes and motivation are very opposite. And yes i agree that Pierro is kaeya grandfather.. the whole pirate shenanigans story is a lie but i think him telling the traveler that he has a grandfather is true.

Also going with the inverted tropes childe's voiceline about capitano makes sense now so I agree. Also I'm not sure if his mask is hollow or just black 🤔 I think the gnoses might have been moved by the tsaritsa because when the knight moves it moves w cryo energy. (Its possible he moved it himself but I'm just here to suggest this alternative) Pierrot gilf confirmed. That theory also makes a lot of sense...I wonder what it was that he pirates from celestia then. Oooo I was wondering what the chess game could be and the fact it was deep blue is so intriguing. I hope this is the first of many responses against leaks. If Hoyo didn't leave us so thirsty for content, we probably wouldn't be so inclined to look for leaks. This trailer was the best drip marketing that they've put out and it shook the entire comunity to the core. And I'm living for it.
Also a note that both Kaeya and Pierro cover their right eye. Could they be covering some significant mark that could let others recognize them for who they truly are, like, maybe they have a glowing eyes that were a sign of royal blood, or a birthmark that only passed down specific lineage that did something significant, so one covers his eye to not alert his comrades and the other covers his so he won't be tied in with enemy leader. Them both having the same thing to hide would also tie nicely with what Kaeya said about inheriting the eyepatch - "same as children inheriting their parents hair or eye color" aka a genetic trait. While eyepatch itself is just a cover, what underneath that cover is a genetic trait he - through his father - inherited from his granddad. Genetics is a weird thing and sometimes it happens that a certain gene gets to "jump the line" so to speak and only shows itself in the next generation, like, a birthmark that a kid shares with his grandfather but not his father (I actually have that myself, both my parents have bright eyes, but I have dark brown, almost black ones - just like my granddad from father's side). So that would check out.
I think it’s interesting how all the archons so far have allowed the fatui to create chaos in their own nations, despite knowing fully that the tsarista has long been rogue. It seems like the cataclysm has made all the archons disillusioned with Celestia in some way.
Great video as usual, although I have a few comments about Scaramouche's section: 1. I got the complete opposite vibe from Capitano's interaction with Dottore regarding Scara, to me it really did seem like Capitano was going "hey man what the hell are we doing here, you've got a plan right?", and Dottore is indeed a man with a plan so he basically just cryptically responds with essentially "yeah we're good man don't worry I've got this". 2. Following up directly from the previous point, Scaramouche going off the radar with the Gnosis was absolutely not part of the plan, him getting it definitely was, Signora was probably supposed to have a similar negotiation with Raiden as she did with Zhongli. She definitely wasn't supposed to die, and Scara wasn't supposed to ditch the team. If Scara doing what he did truly was all part of the plan, we'd really be dealing with some hard-core "all according to keikaku" vibes that I'd have a pretty hard time suspending my disbelief for. But I do 100% agree his interaction with the Gnosis in general was probably the whole point/plan, so they're kind of on-track with that, but that brings me to my next point. 3. If the endgame for the Fatui in Inazuma was always "get Scara and the Gnosis together so we can study them", then why does Scara even ditch them in the first place? Is it just because he thinks they're all losers, or was there a catch to it that he was already aware of, or could it have been some completely separate reason/influence? Discussion on this would be interesting. 4. Discussion on what exactly we think the "Divine Gaze" is would be been super interesting. Because we've heard that exact phrase before from Yae Miko in the Inazuma Archon Quest, where Raiden replies to it with "You mean Visions?". So does the Divine Gaze have something to do with the giving, or lack thereof, of Electro Visions? Because that plot point was never addressed properly, only referenced vaguely in Raiden's voicelines. Additionally, could this play a role with the Kazuha Electro Vision plotpoint, especially given all the connections between Scara and Kazuha? Food for thought.
I think the point was that even though it wasnt the plan and rathered not be that way, they still expected Scara to not be totally loyal. It wasnt planned, but it was a considered possibility.
@@davide.schiaffino yeah I definitely understand that line of thought, although it makes me question why Capitano is even questioning Dottore in the first place if they already had a contingency for this possibility of Scara going rogue? I could be over thinking it though, maybe the contingency plan was just left mostly in the hands of Dottore and the others are on a need-to-know basis, so basically not everyone knows everything that is going on barring the Tsaritsa and Pierro probably.

To the point about Scaramouche's reason for ditching the Fatui: I'm pretty sure he doesn't think very much of them. According to the text on the pale flame set, he is an incredibly arrogant being who considers himself "a 'human' who surpasses all others". Also, he just joined the Fatui for fun. He doesn't seem to particularly care about anything at all other than himself.
I think the whole marrying into royalty thing makes sense especially when considering the eye colour of all 4 known kaenri’hans. Kaeya is the only one with a darker blue eye colour which we know is a signifier for familial relationship from barb+jean. It could be possible that only the royals had a darker eye colour and kaeya inherited it from his royal mother as opposed to father. Blue also has connections with the phrase blue-blood referring to royalty so it seems plausible enough.

Now, I know people are saying that this trailer shows La Signora’s funeral (and it definitely is) and that she’ll never be playable as a result, because she dead. I however have an argument for why she could return as a character. Don’t worry, I am not smoking copium, I definitely think it’d be cool if Signora stayed dead and that her character would echo in ways that involve her past actions. However, she still could theoretically come back. Signora is the 8th of the Fatui Harbingers. In Biblical Numerology, the number 8 stands for “new life” and “resurrection” as all of us who watch Ashikai should know by now. The implication here comes from two different things, the first being that Rosalyne was a completely different person who changed when she became a Harbinger. She used to be very kind, but turned cold and hateful after her lover died during the Cataclysm. The theme of “resurrection” also references how, in her boss battle, she encases herself in a “cocoon” of ice before emerging as a moth in her second phase. Now, what do we see in the teaser? We see the coffin, representative of Signora, being incased in ice as the whole cathedral freezes over, foreshadowed by the curtains freezing at their ends in an earlier scene. This is most definitely not Zapolyarny Palace as I think most other people assume. Instead, it is likely either an important cathedral or a cathedral built specifically for Signora’s funeral, which goes to show just how much importance the Harbingers treat Signora’s death, well, the Harbingers besides Pulcinella, Dotorre, and maybe Pantalone. They freeze over an entire cathedral just for the ceremony. But did you notice that? They freeze over the cathedral. Freeze over, incased in ice, as if it were a cocoon… I predict that we might see this frozen-over cathedral in-game whenever we get access to Snezhnaya, and that during the events of the story, Signora will return. It’ll make sense for her to return at this point in the story too since out of all the Fatui Harbingers, Signora is the one who is most heavily tied to the Cataclysm in terms of the lore and her character’s backstory. It’d thematically make sense for her to come back near the part of the story where Khanrei’ah and Celestia are going to be taking the most prominent roles. Another reason why her return at that point would thematically make sense is because Signora is the very first Harbinger we meet in the game. For her to reappear as one of the more important ones plot-wise near the end would make a lot of sense. It’d be the ultimate fulfillment of what Signora’s character is. Resurrection, and vengeance. Whether or not she’d be our ally at that time, hard to say, but if that’s how HOYOVERSE plans to use her character, I’m all for it.
if something else doesn’t happen with signora I’d be kinda disappointed. I mean, a lot of people would be eager to pull for her. also, like you said, it does make sense.... I guess if that isn’t the plan they could just be saving it for when the game dies. a signora comeback would do a lot for them.
I think yall bringing the revival symbolism are getting the wrong idea.. she HAS already revived once. Once she was a maiden named rosalyne who burned herself to death upon her lover's demise AND then she revived as the crimson witch of flames symbolizing moth to burn all the monsters in the world. I don't think there is any way for her to revive twice , this trailer was a good enough closure to the sad life of Rosalyne. Let's just let her rest in peace with her lover now

@theonewayroad3867 In Winter night lazzo Pierro has the tittle as Director of Fatuus. Scaramouche and Childe voice lines say he is the the very first fatuus but no mention about the rank. And both Childe and Scaramouche has the exact same of order of voicelines. It was the fan interpretation that Pierro is rank 1. After Scaramouche release, the voicelines give us more clues and hints. It has been collaborated by Chinese and Japanese community. Its also why Nahida say rank 3 and above not top 3 is comparable to the Gods. But in EN Nahida saying up to rank 3 which also has the same meaning. For further clues and hints you can go to genshin lore where many lore enthusiasts post their findings.
The more time passes from the first time I saw the Trailer, the more I believe that Sandrone = petite lady is actually a red herring and the REAL Sandrone is the Ruin Guard 'butler'. The Katherynes could easily be mass-produced robots based on the small petite lady who resembles them, while the 'Ruin Guard' could be a sentient machine from Khaenri'ah (think of Johnny No.5 from the Short Circuit movies) who is effectively trying to build himself a family (Sandrone, as you said, is a male character with a wife and a kid). Also, the whole pose of the duo screams 'Ventriloquist with his Puppet' to me... Of course it could simply be that she is a mechanic from Fontaine who started tinkering with Ruin Guards and Khaenri'an Puppets but it seems so... plain and basic to me (a thing than HoYo rarely does).
From what I'd seen in other media, I immediately noted that the "real Sandrone" could be either of them. They could also be a third entity and _both_ are puppets, but that's unlikely given the occasion. Knowing how insane the Futui seem to be, I instantly jumped to the craziest explanation, which is that Sandrone _used_ to be the girl, but then transferred her brain or mind into the ruin guard and upgraded her original body so that she could remotely control it from her new body. The fact that I've actually seen anything remotely like this does make me question the kind of media I consume. Why _have_ I run into remotely piloted human bodies‽
one thing I feel the need to point out is that Sandrone's title is Marionette, not puppeteer, as a result the fact that she is framed as the puppet, or rather the marionette, in the pair actually makes it seem a little more likely that she's the real deal. one idea that I've seen thrown around is that Sandrone might not be able to walk and therefore relies on the Ruin Guard to carry her around, could be a pretty neat and unique thing if she becomes playable.
a little thought: what if Pierro didn't only or necessarily meant the sages of Sumeru, but the sages of Kaenri'ah too? Considering sages r often associated with not only magic but also faith, the abyss faith (lectors, higher ranking monsters) might be said sages that also think they know a deeper truth and hunt for proof (like enjou and "before sun and moon")... thx for the great vid

To add to Sandrone and Katherine theory, her corsetry center piece looks like the quote on quote "herrscher of domination" symbol, which combined to the marionette theme and the hive-mind the Katherines share is pretty likely that she created them and use them as the primary source of surveillance

When I saw Pulcinella I instantly thought about Klee... And the fact he has Hilichurl-style imagery on his hat kinda ties him to Khaenri'ah. What if, Alice saying they belong to an ancient race, these elfs were like... idk house elfs to the Khaenriahns lol. I know it sounds really bad but him being someone who likes to take care of people? Like Childe? Maybe it's what his ancestors used to do back in the day.
Something that is interesting when it come to Baizhou and Qiqi, is that Qiqi can never seem to remember Baizhous face. Qiqi is forgetful yes, but she will remember people if she train on remembering it or if someone make a big impression enough on her...Like she dont forget Hu Tao, or what Hu Tao wanted to do to her. But no matter what, she still have issues with Baizhou. Another thing is that sometimes, Qiqis commands (she need to command herself to do stuff because she is a Jiangshi) cause her to keep at something even though she cant do it, and the only way to stop her is to hug her and tell her that she is loved, Baizhou can accomplish this but Qiqi say that she feel there is not much sincerity in this. I originally thought it was just because he is a greedy bastard, but there may be something more to this.. But if Baizhou and Changsheng is based on the white snake tale... then maybe Pantalone is based on Fahai, a character from the same tale... Fahai was the antagonist, a tortoise who turned himself into a human just like the white snake did. In genshin its possible that Baizhou and Pantalone are twins, that would explain how they are so similiar, both in looks and in greed, yet still being unaware of eachothers actions. Uh no I dont think we can say that Pierrot have the same skin tone as Kaeya, as all the shots are in a setting with blue light in it, making all skintones distorted. I decided to color pick his skin tone and the other harbingers at the last scene to get an idea of how their skin tones compare. Guess what? He had almost the same color as Childe and Pantalone. Only the girls and Pucinella were lighter. And we already know that Childe is much lighter than Kaeya. And we kinda have confirmation that Kaeyas skin color is just a tan, because he like being out in the sun a lot...Which would be understandable if he came from an underground civilization where rarely saw the sun.
There has been a thory I've seen going around of the Dendro archon being a "Shut-in"(I forget the japanese word). With this information I see it being possible not because of trauma or anything like the original theory says but because of fear? What if the Fatui's "push for folly" and Dotorre's "Experiment in Blasphemy" are attempte to lure her out and just steal the gnosis? It is already quite implied that the dendro archon is very weak and inexperienced. Seeing as how Signora basically strolled up and snatched away Venti's gnosis, It is not implausible that they may intend to use the same strategy. The dendro archon is also the God of Wisdom. Perhaps she, more than others, understands what the Fatui plan means and also understands her own weakness and thus, out of that fear/consideration choses to hide herself away. She could also have disguised herself as a commoner like Venti or Zhongli. This works since gods do not have any detectable "auras"(as far as we know) as even Childe who was decently close with Zhongli did not recognize him as a god. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Too many ideas swirling around in my head. What do you think?
There's another even crazier theory is that the dendro archon never had a gnosis to begin with, since the original one was dead 500 years ago, someone theorize that when albedo and gold found "heart of naberius" it might actually be the dendro gnosis. The name naberius is a demon name same as morax and barbatos, and albedo creation isn't as far as cataclysm, it might be possible that dendro gnosis is with gold rn
I don’t know back story or lore of the name but I really get Akatsuki vibe from fatui. Look at those coat! The whole funeral look like Akatsuki meeting and their goal to collect all genosis parallel with collecting tail beasts. I really like this vibe and hope to see more from Fatuis in future.
I just wanted to point out something, about dameselette, since you said that it didn’t mean anything but from a native French speaker perspective to me it sounds like they meant "frail lady" (dame=lady In French) but also because often in French we add the sound ette or oute at the end of a word to emphasize it being something cute, fragile or in this case frail. You can compare it to y or ie in English, it works the same way as for words like "thingy or cutie". I asked my friend who studies in linguistic about this and she said that she understood it that way too. She’s described it as a "possible non recognized word" which is not in the dictionary but still respect the rules of our language and therefore is comprehensible by its speaker and carries meaning regardless. I don’t know if this will help but I thought it was an interesting way to understand her name.
I had a similar thought in the folly in Sumeru coming from the Fatui. And looking at the chess board, of the electro gnosis is a knight, it's possible the Dendro gnosis is as well, and if all the pieces in the board represent current players, then the holder of the Dendro gnosis is also on the side of the Fatui, which would be really interesting. This is also influenced by the rooks, of which one is Zhongli's, which we assume was the white side, and the remaining is black, which is possibly the Cryo gnosis. Since the Czaritsa is definitely on the Fatui side, that makes sense to be her. So, it's possible the Fatui are the folly in Sumeru, and that's why the archon makes no move to stop it.
Pierro's old world is also described in shivada jade gem's description. Basically the tsaritsa ( assuming the one talking in the description ) is asking us to burn the old world together with her. Could it be the current Teyvat, or Celestia?
Sandrone being connected to Katheryne would make a lot of sense. And might also shed some light on her role - a puppeteer who manipulates adventurers (and even protagonists) into doing all kinds of things that might benefit their cause and gather intel all over the world
I can't wait to see the interaction between Pierro and Lumine(the abyss twin) cause she wants to resurrect Khaeriah and even though he is one the resurrection of the nation is not something he desires, not to mention the fatui despises the abyss order as much as Celestia

There is a very high chance Cryo archon is playing with Pierro right at this moment, because there is a cryo sheen when the knight moved and Pierro is on the black side of the board. So Cryo archon does indeed have the gnosis and is using it, to play the chess.
IDK but after your explanation about Capitano, I like to believe that Menogias is long dead. Though resurrection is quite possible. Anyways I feel like Capitano would be originally in Natlan, since Natlan seems to be like a nation full of passion and chaos and hence why their Archon is Titled "The war Archon" or "the god of war". That would also explain why he's strong on the battlefield and why he's stronger than Scara. That's probably also why he is called "the captain" because people know he's strong and has earned the respect for him. This is just a speculation since we don't know anything about Natlan but it could be a possibility.
I'd like to think that there's some meaning in the white pieces. There are four non-pawns where two are replaced with the acquired gnosis, one presumably representing the gnosis currently with Scaramouche, and the king which is likely Celestia or Traveller. The remaining four pawns are the remaining archons that have not turned up in the Journey. If fates are written in the stars and they are privy of it, perhaps they are following the scripts, closely weaving the story along the Traveller's Journey in hopes of finding whatever breakthrough they need to achieve their goals. Otherwise, they could have obtained one or two more where it doesn't involve the Traveller's involvement. Or everything is just purely coincidental in that Traveller is always coincidentally the one witnessing all the taken gnosis.

my take on the constellations are a bit different though my basis are weaker, I think its still worth expressing 1. dottore is the hand with flame. because "segments" (and it looks like severed fingers) and the burning tree frame. It might be a hint that he's pyro. he also have pyro personality which is passion (in his case, research) 2. pantalone just cause he wears the heresy symbol himself. the symbol also aligns with his personal goal. 3. pulcinella actually looks like the plague doctor symbol. if not then the stylized healing hand since it looks like its a symbol for diplomats except with a twist. 4.capitano and arlecchino i don't have answer to.

I think Sandrone indeed is that little lady, cuz in this PV every harbinger has that white furry coat on them and I think that's their "SPECIAL UNIFORM", which customizes everyone no matter how tall (Pierrot) or short ( Puccinella) they are. But that big robot has no uniform and gets those runes on his arms just like the ruin gard, so I think he's just a puppet.

Fun fact : The trailer is called " A Winter Night's Lazzo,” and lazzi are basically stock skits in the commedia. One of the lazzo involves a character being mistaken for dead. There's a lot of them most notably the revival and undead lazzos. Basically the point is there’s still a slight chance for Signora depending on what MHY decides to do from here, guess we’ll have to see!

Columbina could be connected to the seelies as well, there's a theory that's she appears in 'A Drunkard's Tale' singing the song of the seelies. If she is a descendant of the seelies it would make sense why she's so powerful.

- Katheryne is now confirmed to be "a bionic Snezhnayan puppet" according to Nahida, further supporting the theory that Sandrone and her are connected
- I don't believe we saw Dottore's full design at this time, but he has a plague doctor mask on his back. So I believe that basically confirms his constellation is the Plague Doctor
- Sandrone is now confirmed to be No. 7 of the Fatui Harbingers in one of the Wanderer’s voicelines
- Pantalone and Dottore are now confirmed to have a close connection.
- Pantalone is now confirmed to be No. 9 of the Fatui Harbingers.
- Scaramouche/Wanderer is no longer a part of the Fatui as of the 3.3 archon quest, "Inversion of Genesis." None know of his existence and have assumed that the sixth seat has been empty for years.
- Rumors have been circulating that Pierro is not considered a harbinger, and that there is one more hidden harbinger. This is not confirmed, but it’s a very popular theory.
- Since Baizhu will now be playable, the theory of Pantalone and Baizhu’s connection has been weakened (I’m not saying it’s impossible, just less possible)

Weird that characters from Khaenri’ah tend to conceal the right side of their face. Pierro’s mask kinda looks like a more extravagant version of Dainsleif’s, which could potentially be indicative of their relative strengths, or their rank in Khaenri’ah before the cataclysm.

Ooo have any of you guys watched Ashikai’s theory on masks? It’s honestly one of my favorites and it’s a good watch!
one of our first quest that we had to do with a Khaenri'ahn was to take out a Ruin Guard's eye as well.
Another interesting note about Pierro playing with the chessboard is that he’s using his hands to move the pieces but in the previous shot, we see that the white knight piece moved by itself to take out the black pawn. Since it was covered in a faint frost, it could be that the person playing with Pierro to be the cryo archon. This would also explain her presence in other parts of the video with the freezing tapestry and Signora’s tomb freezing over so fast
That would match with her playing white alongside the rest of celestia's willing or unwilling forces too...
There were multiple frames kinda telling us that Tsaritsa was there in the room with them. Knight piece moving with a cryo power, hanging curtain thing starting to freeze, cryo particles flowing from the left side of the screen in the frame of side view of the chess board and the frame after the all harbingers around the coffin frame, freezing the whole tomb and surrounding area (cmon who else could it be), and lastly I think that all harbingers around the coffin frame was in Tsaritsa's POV.

I think its somehow referencing the "all seeing eye" in a way.
Clearly khaenri'ah has aggressive connections to one eyed symbolism.
The black serpent knights drop this little statue thing that is missing an eye and it clearly references kaeyas father and what he said to him when he left him.
It also says its probably a statue of an "important figure" or "divine being" which to me makes it seem like its perhaps a symbol of khaenri'ahn royalty.
So maybe since khaenri'ah didn't have a god they worshipped royalty like gods, and maybe a symbol of khaenri'ahn royalty or important figures in khaenri'ah (like dain being the twilight sword) is the all seeing eye.
Kaeyas eyepatch is a separate model in game which means it can be taken off.
I've glitched the game to see whats under his eyepatch and i wont say what it is here but its weird that he tries to hide it since it could be explained away easily unless theres other things going on with his eye we cant see.

Unless I'm forgetting a line in another quest (probable), Diluc's voice line for Kaeya is "You can only trust half of what he says... at best." I've always taken that to mean essentially what you're saying: He says a lot, and only half of it is important. He's not really telling straight-up lies, but it is masterful obfuscation. I see him more as that person that tells seemingly inane stories, and likes to see if people catch what he's actually telling them.
Also Diluc is notoriously very angry at Kaeya so maybe he's exaggerating.
I honestly really don't want Kaeya to be evil and turn against Mond only because he's from Kaehnriah.
I just think it would be lazy and kinda boring? He acts so shady that everyone basically expects him to do sth and we already have the Abyss sibling and now Pierro as Kaehnriahn antagonists...

There is a trait that Childe does share with his Commedia counterpart, at least metaphorically. Tartaglia is also frequently depicted as being short sighted, on top of his stutter. Which while Childe doesn't need glasses, he has shown himself to only think a few moves ahead. His attacking us for stealing the Gnosis which he later realises we couldn't have (with his death or Glory mode, no less), and more famously, his plan to summon Osial to bait out Morax so he could beat him up and take his gnosis. There is no way that fight goes Childe's way, even ignoring back to back uses of foul legacy.

I kinda thought the "stuttering" part of Tartaglia was when he's panicking when making up excuses about being a Toyseller for Teucer, like in his story quest where he suddenly made a speech about kites lol

About Pantalone: One of Childe's line mentioned the possibility of meeting his Segment. This raised the possibility of Dottore cloning his fellow Harbingers (with or without their knowledge or consent). Baizhu could be one of Pantalone's Segment, used in Liyue exclusively, forgoing Pantalone (Prime) needs to ever step foot out of the igloo (as Arlecino so put it).
About Capitano: Captain Snezhnaya reminds me so much of the Witch-king of Angmar (LOTR), who was a human king twisted into serving a dark lord. This could be a parallel to your idea that a yaksha was corrupted by the karma, got killed by his fellow but did not die.
I wonder if the two would happen to cross paths, how would Qiqi react, like her not beign able to differ from Baizhu and Pantalone
Then not only is Baizhu proven to be an archon (not until confirmed really) but I think he may be pantalone’s complete opposite
That Pantalone theory is quite interesting... I don't personally buy it, since there isn't much evidence to back it up, but intriguing nonetheless.
I imagine Baizhu was meant to be an exact replica, but something went wrong. He ended up with similar traits to Mr. Pants, but there ended up being very noticeable differences. (Possibly due it being the first time Dottore truly got the chance to clone someone other than himself, and he messed up)
It would also explain his sickness, if his creation didn't go as planned, I imagine that would cause at least some health issues...

I have a personal theory that the Commedia tropes don't represent the Harbingers as the people they currently are, but rather represent who they used to be pre-Harbinger.
EG:
Tartaglia isnt a stuttering incompetent, but her certainly may have been before his stint in the Abyss and tutelage under Skirk.
Regrator WAS a stingy Mora obsessed miser when he was still a poor peasant, but now that he's wealthy and powerful he's bitter and cynical of the entire system to begin with.
Capitano isnt "all talk cocky" like the trope currently, he's the real deal, but he may very well HAVE been a cocky military officer who found himself completely inadequate in the face of a REAL brutal, bloody catastrophe (Khanri'ah?).
Dottore WAS merely a naiive but earnest scientist at first, but his pursuit of heretical research eventually turned him into the Harbinger of today.
etc etc.
No idea if this will pan out and I've not explored it in detail, it just seemed to fit for their tropes and made more sense Chronologically - their title was given to them as a representation of who they WERE, rather than who they're trying to be.
Edit: Also "The game does not end with Checkmate" to me reads more as "This is not a war where as soon as we take down the enemy leader they surrender, this is a war of annihilation that will keep going until either all of us or every last enemy is dead and gone".
honestly this really fits because that does seem like it was the case for Childe, his backstory states that "As a child, Tartaglia was frightened and hesitant" but the Abyss and training with Skirk fundamentally changed him into a bloodthirsty warrior at the age of 14

This also is interesting because the stories and tropes are "destiny" given by the divine. and THAT is what they are going against.
They are fools who is trying to defy the destiny. "heavenly principles" is mostly related to waves that mortals cannot defy, so therefore in east asian cultures those who tries are depicted as fools.
fatui means fools.
so this could be the case where they go against their trope. "reverse" the trope.
Capitano being number 2 kinda makes sense. Him being the "Captain" probably makes him the highest ranking military official in Snezhnaya. Which would most likely make him in charge of all the non-harbinger Fatui enemies that we fight.

so a few things about signora. the coffin is empty, in a few cultures they have empty coffins. and while I personally do not care whatsoever if shes playable, khaenri'ah is a playable region, at least according the travail trailer. the problem is it's destroyed. so my personal theory is we meet istaroth, and travel back in time to khaenri'ah to have the storyline happen there. then, we could meet and play dead characters, such as Rosalyne.
Maybe it could work like "dark mode" in cookie run :0
That's what's always bothered me about Genshin's timeline, like how the Khaenri'ah chapter is after Snezhnaya and why it isn't Act 7 but Act ??. It's because of time travel, which is already established in the lore with Raiden's story quest. It was kinda hidden in plain sight too, like how we can use Paimon to manipulate time and how we're called "Traveler".
I'm gonna assume some horrible shit is gonna happen at the end of Snezhnaya's chapter or at the beginning of Khaenri'ah chapter with the Tsaritsa fighting against Celestia, then we'd have to travel back in time. That way, many more characters could be playable, like the original Archons (such as Makoto), Rosalyne, the other Yaksha...

I find it kind of interesting how The Harbingers (more specifically Capitano, Arlecchino, Childe) seem like opposites of their Commedia Dell’Arte counterparts. Il Capitano was boastful and a bragger while The Captain seems more collected and focused on the task at hand (he was the only one during the funeral to question about Scaramouche). Arlecchino was usually a man and a comic relief character. In Genshin, Arlecchino is a woman and way more serious and brooding. Tartaglia was a old man, while Childe is the youngest Harbinger. I don't know, just something to think about.

Also maybe the harbingers are letting Scaramouche take the gnosis, because he may be the only one who can activated. The reason I’m saying this is because Venti’s and Zhongli’s gnosis where taken away directly from them, whereas Ei might’ve deactivated hers before giving it to Yae. Thus there’s the need of someone, with partial god authority, to activate it.

The thing that's bugging me the most is the colour of the gems on their coats. Maybe it's just a character design decision, but I feel they have some deeper meaning. I thought it could possibly tied to rank: 1 - 5 = white, 6 - 7 = Orange, 8 - 9 = purple and 10 - 11 = red. But Capitano's being black(?) is throwing me off. It could also be tied to skillset/job within the harbingers perhaps?
The other thing that I've noticed is that every country seems to have a harbinger who is tied to that country in some way: Mondstadt: Signora, Inazuma: Scaramouche, Sumeru: Dottore, Liyue: Pantalone(?), Fotaine: Sandrone(?) and Khaenriah: Pierro. All except for Natlan. Maybe Capitano is tied to Natlan in some way? But that theory is just process of elimination at this point.
Scaramouche and Signora don’t have them. I’m pretty sure it’s an afterthought, when they figured out they want to somehow unify Harbingers, so they picked the gem from Childe and made it a thing across all Harbingers. Therefore, the colors are probably just cosmetic.

For Capitano, what are the chances he's the hero survivor of Sal Vindagnyr and joined the Fatui to get back at Celestia? Love can make people go bonkers in the world of Hoyoverse.
Being the hero would make sense of his honest approach while turning a blind eye to the questionable actions of his comrades because this will aid his revenge.
I can't think of him as a Yaksha since most of them live to fight due to the contract with Rex Lapis. Honor isn't their primary reason to fight, unlike the Sal Vindagnyr hero.

A small thing about the chess board: The Tsaritsa's own gnosis is not there at all. I'd say that means that it's indeed only one game of several.
I like this. I do think it weird that her gnosis isn't on the board, maybe it's locked up. It doesn't make too much sense on why she'd still have it though. I kind of thought it could be the black queen, probably the most interesting piece on the fatui board. But it's more likely to be white at the very least, only half the pieces so far so who knows.

unfortunately i didn't depict the hydro archon as you lol. from the hydro gemstones we can receive and craft, seems like the hydro archon is someone full of herself (she does have reasons, granted). she seeks to judge others (especially all gods) and thinks highly of herself but even she becomes a coward against the divine. the hydro archon is conceited and egoistic. so i'd imagine her as pretty pristine asshole route rather than dashing lady. nonetheless, arlecchino subverted my expectations. i thought she'd be a man and pulcinella would be a woman. a handsome woman in genshin isn't pulled of quite well, so I'm looking forward to see who she is and what she is capable of. her eyes is probably the most remarkable feature!

Pantalone is theorised to be from Liyue, and if what you said is true then that leaves Fontaine and Sumeru. I think Sandrone is from Fontaine, since their entire nation is sort of an industrial/technological marvel compared to the rest. They have hot air balloons and they created the kameras among other things. Sandrone creates "marionettes", puppets, and definitely works on ruin guards.
So that leaves Sumeru, and I honestly have no idea who this could be.

I hope this is the first of many responses against leaks. If Hoyo didn't leave us so thirsty for content, we probably wouldn't be so inclined to look for leaks. This trailer was the best drip marketing that they've put out and it shook the entire comunity to the core. And I'm living for it.
Also a note that both Kaeya and Pierro cover their right eye. Could they be covering some significant mark that could let others recognize them for who they truly are, like, maybe they have a glowing eyes that were a sign of royal blood, or a birthmark that only passed down specific lineage that did something significant, so one covers his eye to not alert his comrades and the other covers his so he won't be tied in with enemy leader.
Them both having the same thing to hide would also tie nicely with what Kaeya said about inheriting the eyepatch - "same as children inheriting their parents hair or eye color" aka a genetic trait. While eyepatch itself is just a cover, what underneath that cover is a genetic trait he - through his father - inherited from his granddad. Genetics is a weird thing and sometimes it happens that a certain gene gets to "jump the line" so to speak and only shows itself in the next generation, like, a birthmark that a kid shares with his grandfather but not his father (I actually have that myself, both my parents have bright eyes, but I have dark brown, almost black ones - just like my granddad from father's side). So that would check out.
I think it’s interesting how all the archons so far have allowed the fatui to create chaos in their own nations, despite knowing fully that the tsarista has long been rogue. It seems like the cataclysm has made all the archons disillusioned with Celestia in some way.
Great video as usual, although I have a few comments about Scaramouche's section:
1. I got the complete opposite vibe from Capitano's interaction with Dottore regarding Scara, to me it really did seem like Capitano was going "hey man what the hell are we doing here, you've got a plan right?", and Dottore is indeed a man with a plan so he basically just cryptically responds with essentially "yeah we're good man don't worry I've got this".
2. Following up directly from the previous point, Scaramouche going off the radar with the Gnosis was absolutely not part of the plan, him getting it definitely was, Signora was probably supposed to have a similar negotiation with Raiden as she did with Zhongli. She definitely wasn't supposed to die, and Scara wasn't supposed to ditch the team. If Scara doing what he did truly was all part of the plan, we'd really be dealing with some hard-core "all according to keikaku" vibes that I'd have a pretty hard time suspending my disbelief for. But I do 100% agree his interaction with the Gnosis in general was probably the whole point/plan, so they're kind of on-track with that, but that brings me to my next point.
3. If the endgame for the Fatui in Inazuma was always "get Scara and the Gnosis together so we can study them", then why does Scara even ditch them in the first place? Is it just because he thinks they're all losers, or was there a catch to it that he was already aware of, or could it have been some completely separate reason/influence? Discussion on this would be interesting.
4. Discussion on what exactly we think the "Divine Gaze" is would be been super interesting. Because we've heard that exact phrase before from Yae Miko in the Inazuma Archon Quest, where Raiden replies to it with "You mean Visions?". So does the Divine Gaze have something to do with the giving, or lack thereof, of Electro Visions? Because that plot point was never addressed properly, only referenced vaguely in Raiden's voicelines. Additionally, could this play a role with the Kazuha Electro Vision plotpoint, especially given all the connections between Scara and Kazuha? Food for thought.
I think the point was that even though it wasnt the plan and rathered not be that way, they still expected Scara to not be totally loyal. It wasnt planned, but it was a considered possibility.

I could be over thinking it though, maybe the contingency plan was just left mostly in the hands of Dottore and the others are on a need-to-know basis, so basically not everyone knows everything that is going on barring the Tsaritsa and Pierro probably.

To the point about Scaramouche's reason for ditching the Fatui: I'm pretty sure he doesn't think very much of them. According to the text on the pale flame set, he is an incredibly arrogant being who considers himself "a 'human' who surpasses all others". Also, he just joined the Fatui for fun. He doesn't seem to particularly care about anything at all other than himself.
I think the whole marrying into royalty thing makes sense especially when considering the eye colour of all 4 known kaenri’hans. Kaeya is the only one with a darker blue eye colour which we know is a signifier for familial relationship from barb+jean. It could be possible that only the royals had a darker eye colour and kaeya inherited it from his royal mother as opposed to father. Blue also has connections with the phrase blue-blood referring to royalty so it seems plausible enough.
After watching the trailer my thought was "What if Pierro is Kaeya's grandpa?" I searched reddit but couldn't find anything.Glad to know that you are also considering the possibility.

she seems like a hidden ace card of the fatui so comparing her to a kid is underestimating Colombina which is what they want you to do. even Childe is hesitant on fighting her because he knows she's suspicious - that she's more than meets the eye. it is worth noting from leaks, it was told that Columbia's emotional range is limited. so her reaction might not be what we usually expect others to do. that's why she is so difficult to read as a character from just the teaser

Now, I know people are saying that this trailer shows La Signora’s funeral (and it definitely is) and that she’ll never be playable as a result, because she dead. I however have an argument for why she could return as a character. Don’t worry, I am not smoking copium, I definitely think it’d be cool if Signora stayed dead and that her character would echo in ways that involve her past actions. However, she still could theoretically come back. Signora is the 8th of the Fatui Harbingers. In Biblical Numerology, the number 8 stands for “new life” and “resurrection” as all of us who watch Ashikai should know by now. The implication here comes from two different things, the first being that Rosalyne was a completely different person who changed when she became a Harbinger. She used to be very kind, but turned cold and hateful after her lover died during the Cataclysm. The theme of “resurrection” also references how, in her boss battle, she encases herself in a “cocoon” of ice before emerging as a moth in her second phase. Now, what do we see in the teaser? We see the coffin, representative of Signora, being incased in ice as the whole cathedral freezes over, foreshadowed by the curtains freezing at their ends in an earlier scene. This is most definitely not Zapolyarny Palace as I think most other people assume. Instead, it is likely either an important cathedral or a cathedral built specifically for Signora’s funeral, which goes to show just how much importance the Harbingers treat Signora’s death, well, the Harbingers besides Pulcinella, Dotorre, and maybe Pantalone. They freeze over an entire cathedral just for the ceremony. But did you notice that? They freeze over the cathedral. Freeze over, incased in ice, as if it were a cocoon…
I predict that we might see this frozen-over cathedral in-game whenever we get access to Snezhnaya, and that during the events of the story, Signora will return. It’ll make sense for her to return at this point in the story too since out of all the Fatui Harbingers, Signora is the one who is most heavily tied to the Cataclysm in terms of the lore and her character’s backstory. It’d thematically make sense for her to come back near the part of the story where Khanrei’ah and Celestia are going to be taking the most prominent roles. Another reason why her return at that point would thematically make sense is because Signora is the very first Harbinger we meet in the game. For her to reappear as one of the more important ones plot-wise near the end would make a lot of sense. It’d be the ultimate fulfillment of what Signora’s character is. Resurrection, and vengeance. Whether or not she’d be our ally at that time, hard to say, but if that’s how HOYOVERSE plans to use her character, I’m all for it.
if something else doesn’t happen with signora I’d be kinda disappointed. I mean, a lot of people would be eager to pull for her. also, like you said, it does make sense.... I guess if that isn’t the plan they could just be saving it for when the game dies. a signora comeback would do a lot for them.

Once she was a maiden named rosalyne who burned herself to death upon her lover's demise AND then she revived as the crimson witch of flames symbolizing moth to burn all the monsters in the world. I don't think there is any way for her to revive twice , this trailer was a good enough closure to the sad life of Rosalyne. Let's just let her rest in peace with her lover now

I do think this trailer would act as a very good closure to Rosalyne’s story, but there are also arguments that could be made against that that I am willing to support. For example, why is this supposed important plot moment shown off in a trailer and not in-game? You could argue that Genshin’s promotional material is an integral part of the experience unlike other games, as evidenced by Kamisato Ayato’s character demo adding to the story. In this conversation, the argument goes both ways. Because we’re speculating, neither side is right or wrong. I just want to entertain a possibility most others I believe aren’t thinking about right now because the thematic evidence is there

Scaramouche and Childe voice lines say he is the the very first fatuus but no mention about the rank.
And both Childe and Scaramouche has the exact same of order of voicelines.
It was the fan interpretation that Pierro is rank 1. After Scaramouche release, the voicelines give us more clues and hints.
It has been collaborated by Chinese and Japanese community. Its also why Nahida say rank 3 and above not top 3 is comparable to the Gods. But in EN Nahida saying up to rank 3 which also has the same meaning.
For further clues and hints you can go to genshin lore where many lore enthusiasts post their findings.
The more time passes from the first time I saw the Trailer, the more I believe that Sandrone = petite lady is actually a red herring and the REAL Sandrone is the Ruin Guard 'butler'. The Katherynes could easily be mass-produced robots based on the small petite lady who resembles them, while the 'Ruin Guard' could be a sentient machine from Khaenri'ah (think of Johnny No.5 from the Short Circuit movies) who is effectively trying to build himself a family (Sandrone, as you said, is a male character with a wife and a kid).
Also, the whole pose of the duo screams 'Ventriloquist with his Puppet' to me...
Of course it could simply be that she is a mechanic from Fontaine who started tinkering with Ruin Guards and Khaenri'an Puppets but it seems so... plain and basic to me (a thing than HoYo rarely does).
From what I'd seen in other media, I immediately noted that the "real Sandrone" could be either of them. They could also be a third entity and _both_ are puppets, but that's unlikely given the occasion. Knowing how insane the Futui seem to be, I instantly jumped to the craziest explanation, which is that Sandrone _used_ to be the girl, but then transferred her brain or mind into the ruin guard and upgraded her original body so that she could remotely control it from her new body.
The fact that I've actually seen anything remotely like this does make me question the kind of media I consume. Why _have_ I run into remotely piloted human bodies‽
one thing I feel the need to point out is that Sandrone's title is Marionette, not puppeteer, as a result the fact that she is framed as the puppet, or rather the marionette, in the pair actually makes it seem a little more likely that she's the real deal.
one idea that I've seen thrown around is that Sandrone might not be able to walk and therefore relies on the Ruin Guard to carry her around, could be a pretty neat and unique thing if she becomes playable.
a little thought: what if Pierro didn't only or necessarily meant the sages of Sumeru, but the sages of Kaenri'ah too? Considering sages r often associated with not only magic but also faith, the abyss faith (lectors, higher ranking monsters) might be said sages that also think they know a deeper truth and hunt for proof (like enjou and "before sun and moon")...

Also... To add to Sandrone and Katherine theory, her corsetry center piece looks like the quote on quote "herrscher of domination" symbol, which combined to the marionette theme and the hive-mind the Katherines share is pretty likely that she created them and use them as the primary source of surveillance

When I saw Pulcinella I instantly thought about Klee... And the fact he has Hilichurl-style imagery on his hat kinda ties him to Khaenri'ah. What if, Alice saying they belong to an ancient race, these elfs were like... idk house elfs to the Khaenriahns lol. Something that is interesting when it come to Baizhou and Qiqi, is that Qiqi can never seem to remember Baizhous face. Qiqi is forgetful yes, but she will remember people if she train on remembering it or if someone make a big impression enough on her...Like she dont forget Hu Tao, or what Hu Tao wanted to do to her. But no matter what, she still have issues with Baizhou. Another thing is that sometimes, Qiqis commands (she need to command herself to do stuff because she is a Jiangshi) cause her to keep at something even though she cant do it, and the only way to stop her is to hug her and tell her that she is loved, Baizhou can accomplish this but Qiqi say that she feel there is not much sincerity in this. I originally thought it was just because he is a greedy bastard, but there may be something more to this..
But if Baizhou and Changsheng is based on the white snake tale... then maybe Pantalone is based on Fahai, a character from the same tale... Fahai was the antagonist, a tortoise who turned himself into a human just like the white snake did.
In genshin its possible that Baizhou and Pantalone are twins, that would explain how they are so similiar, both in looks and in greed, yet still being unaware of eachothers actions.
Uh no I dont think we can say that Pierrot have the same skin tone as Kaeya, as all the shots are in a setting with blue light in it, making all skintones distorted. I decided to color pick his skin tone and the other harbingers at the last scene to get an idea of how their skin tones compare. Guess what? He had almost the same color as Childe and Pantalone. Only the girls and Pucinella were lighter. And we already know that Childe is much lighter than Kaeya. And we kinda have confirmation that Kaeyas skin color is just a tan, because he like being out in the sun a lot...Which would be understandable if he came from an underground civilization where rarely saw the sun.

There has been a thory I've seen going around of the Dendro archon being a "Shut-in"(I forget the japanese word).
With this information I see it being possible not because of trauma or anything like the original theory says but because of fear?
What if the Fatui's "push for folly" and Dotorre's "Experiment in Blasphemy" are attempte to lure her out and just steal the gnosis?
It is already quite implied that the dendro archon is very weak and inexperienced. Seeing as how Signora basically strolled up and snatched away Venti's gnosis, It is not implausible that they may intend to use the same strategy.
The dendro archon is also the God of Wisdom. Perhaps she, more than others, understands what the Fatui plan means and also understands her own weakness and thus, out of that fear/consideration choses to hide herself away.
She could also have disguised herself as a commoner like Venti or Zhongli. This works since gods do not have any detectable "auras"(as far as we know) as even Childe who was decently close with Zhongli did not recognize him as a god.

There's another even crazier theory is that the dendro archon never had a gnosis to begin with, since the original one was dead 500 years ago, someone theorize that when albedo and gold found "heart of naberius" it might actually be the dendro gnosis.
The name naberius is a demon name same as morax and barbatos, and albedo creation isn't as far as cataclysm, it might be possible that dendro gnosis is with gold rn

I don’t know back story or lore of the name but I really get Akatsuki vibe from fatui. Look at those coat! The whole funeral look like Akatsuki meeting and their goal to collect all genosis parallel with collecting tail beasts. I really like this vibe and hope to see more from Fatuis in future.
I just wanted to point out something, about dameselette, since you said that it didn’t mean anything but from a native French speaker perspective to me it sounds like they meant "frail lady" (dame=lady In French) but also because often in French we add the sound ette or oute at the end of a word to emphasize it being something cute, fragile or in this case frail. You can compare it to y or ie in English, it works the same way as for words like "thingy or cutie". I asked my friend who studies in linguistic about this and she said that she understood it that way too. She’s described it as a "possible non recognized word" which is not in the dictionary but still respect the rules of our language and therefore is comprehensible by its speaker and carries meaning regardless.
I don’t know if this will help but I thought it was an interesting way to understand her name.

I had a similar thought in the folly in Sumeru coming from the Fatui. And looking at the chess board, of the electro gnosis is a knight, it's possible the Dendro gnosis is as well, and if all the pieces in the board represent current players, then the holder of the Dendro gnosis is also on the side of the Fatui, which would be really interesting. This is also influenced by the rooks, of which one is Zhongli's, which we assume was the white side, and the remaining is black, which is possibly the Cryo gnosis. Since the Czaritsa is definitely on the Fatui side, that makes sense to be her. So, it's possible the Fatui are the folly in Sumeru, and that's why the archon makes no move to stop it.
Pierro's old world is also described in shivada jade gem's description. Basically the tsaritsa ( assuming the one talking in the description ) is asking us to burn the old world together with her. Could it be the current Teyvat, or Celestia?

Sandrone being connected to Katheryne would make a lot of sense. And might also shed some light on her role - a puppeteer who manipulates adventurers (and even protagonists) into doing all kinds of things that might benefit their cause and gather intel all over the world

There is a very high chance Cryo archon is playing with Pierro right at this moment, because there is a cryo sheen when the knight moved and Pierro is on the black side of the board. So Cryo archon does indeed have the gnosis and is using it, to play the chess.
IDK but after your explanation about Capitano, I like to believe that Menogias is long dead. Though resurrection is quite possible. Anyways I feel like Capitano would be originally in Natlan, since Natlan seems to be like a nation full of passion and chaos and hence why their Archon is Titled "The war Archon" or "the god of war". That would also explain why he's strong on the battlefield and why he's stronger than Scara. That's probably also why he is called "the captain" because people know he's strong and has earned the respect for him.
This is just a speculation since we don't know anything about Natlan but it could be a possibility.
I'd like to think that there's some meaning in the white pieces. There are four non-pawns where two are replaced with the acquired gnosis, one presumably representing the gnosis currently with Scaramouche, and the king which is likely Celestia or Traveller. The remaining four pawns are the remaining archons that have not turned up in the Journey. If fates are written in the stars and they are privy of it, perhaps they are following the scripts, closely weaving the story along the Traveller's Journey in hopes of finding whatever breakthrough they need to achieve their goals. Otherwise, they could have obtained one or two more where it doesn't involve the Traveller's involvement. Or everything is just purely coincidental in that Traveller is always coincidentally the one witnessing all the taken gnosis.
That's a good observation and to that I will add that perhaps the next gnosis will be acquired in game 2.

my take on the constellations are a bit different though my basis are weaker, I think its still worth expressing
1. dottore is the hand with flame. because "segments" (and it looks like severed fingers) and the burning tree frame. It might be a hint that he's pyro. he also have pyro personality which is passion (in his case, research)
2. pantalone just cause he wears the heresy symbol himself. the symbol also aligns with his personal goal.
3. pulcinella actually looks like the plague doctor symbol. if not then the stylized healing hand since it looks like its a symbol for diplomats except with a twist.
4.capitano and arlecchino i don't have answer to.
Pierro and Kaeya relationship makes more sense as Grand Uncle /Uncle, where the sages choose Kaeyas father or grandfather instead of Pierro as ruler, even when Pierro was more adept to rule and more consciuos of the danger celestia impplies
