I had this exact same call. I said that I was in Texas and I had in fact rented a car because I was visiting a friend at that residence. It messed the guy up because I went off script. When he went silent thinking how to proceed, I asked "Can I ask you a question?" He said "Yes you can." I then asked "Did you find the body?" He immediately hung up. I called him back and told him I wanted to confess. He wasn't having it.

I've received these calls 3 times now. All of them said it was a Toyota Corolla in Texas. Found 22 lbs cocaine and blood residue in it. Then told me a house in my name was raided for drugs, guns and paperwork in my name. Kept asking me if I've ever been to Texas. I live in Texas. Told me that the FBI main office would be coming for me. I had to correct him and told him FBI offices are called field offices. Told him I would consult my dad (who really is an FBI agent). He laughed and hung up. Social security office will never ever call you. You can tell right away it's a scam when you hear that accent. It's funny they use American names. One call they got as far telling me that I would have to withdraw all my bank account money and put it in a lock box for 24 hours. Then they ask you for this lock box in which they will transfer all your money to themselves. They will tell you they will issue you a new SS #. It's all a scam. The minute you hear this accent and they say "IRS" or "SS OFFICE" hang up!

About 5 years ago, I had a number pop up on my caller ID that showed it was from MOSCOW. I'm a chauffeur and one of my clients lived in Moscow and I was on my way to pick him up at the airport. I thought it was him calling me to say that he wasn't coming in. It was a scammer.
The scammer stated that he was with the IRS and they had been trying to reach me for the last 6 months. When I informed him that I had gone through a house fire and relocated, he said that this matter was very serious and that he had an arrest team waiting to come out to arrest me if I don't take care of this situation.
I then asked him how Edward Snowden was working out as the new Director for the IRS; in his opinion?
He said that Snowden wasn't the new Director and why would I think that he was?
I informed him that I knew the call was originating from Moscow and that the only American cheat associated with the US Government hiding out in Russia is Edward Snowden; I just assumed that they had to be silently working together?
The next thing I heard was the "AGENT" hanging up the phone. Obviously he was not raised with proper manners.

I had the same call 45 minutes ago. I called him out for being a scammer and he said ok if you think I’m a scammer just hang up.. I said ohh no I’m gonna prove you’re a scammer. He said okay. I proceeded to give him an epic cussing until he broke bad and dropped F bombs and then I said Ahhhhh Haaaa.. PROOF!

They also initiat paper work in your name that prompts you to call the social security office. Then they intercept your phone call and use voice generators to imitate your local social security office employees. You can tell it's fake because they don't send corresponding paperwork to your address. (Bait and switch) or the employees are up to it themselves.

I know as it's just a little creepy that the goat house (misspelled courthouse on purpose) is also on the line at the same time, but they don't chime in with anything to add to the conversation as they just sit there quietly listening in........creepy.

Hi Julie I’m surprised this one is still going and I’m surprised anyone actually falls for it you won’t be surprised to know there’s only one country in the world which does a non-bailable arrest warrant and that’s India. It’s unbelievable that the government in the US and the UK haven’t tried hard to stop this the way they get so nasty try and pray on old people keep the good work Trudy going

It is always the same story - apparently, the people who use my social security number always buy 22 pounds of coke, drive a Toyota Corrolla, and leave it stranded with blood residue by the Mexican border.
