I recently had the privilege of listening to Brian's interview on IndictedTV, and I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for featuring such a compelling narrative. Brian's articulate storytelling resonated deeply, and it's evident that the interview merely scratched the surface of his experiences. I commend him for his admirable commitment to becoming a positive and productive member of society, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude for sharing his story. Brian, your willingness to open up and impart valuable lessons from your journey is truly commendable. I hope your story serves as a source of inspiration for young individuals, encouraging them to learn from your experiences and make positive choices. The reminder about the importance of family and the potential isolation in challenging times is particularly poignant. Your message resonates, emphasizing that the pursuit of misguided endeavors in one's neighborhood may lead to a lonely path in the California Department of Corrections. I look forward to the possibility of future interviews that delve even deeper into your story. Such conversations have the potential to provide further insights and guidance for those who may find themselves at crossroads. Thank you to the interviewer for facilitating this impactful discussion and for bringing Brian's significant narrative to a broader audience.
Best interview by far. nothing but love for Brian God bless him, continue much success God is good you are not alone young man your grandmother is with you in spirt😢 make her proud 🙏 😊
29 years 😮This Gentleman is a Soldier He is a Solid Man I give him respect for opening up,his honesty and most of all his Strength There's Hope Change is possible God bless him ❤🙌🏼💯
Lonely is the truest form of a man. Knows his mistakes and shortcomings. Doesn’t have any ego even though he’s been through hell and back. Well read and well written. But he’s a like a needle in a haystack. If he chose another more positive route he could be a CEO or something successful just like the other people that have been locked up in the SHU and didn’t break. His mental fortitude will help him succeed in the real world. God bless him
57:20 "uncontrollable cry that would just come out" I know that feeling R.I.P to your grandmother.. I felt the cell walls closing in on me when my Mom passed yr.2008.. That's everones worst fear, to lose a love one while in prison.
There's hope for everybody....Struggle and trauma is something we hear about with all her guest...I love how he describes his feelings along the way...Thank you for sharing your story...Big Ups To Negra...
I love watching your prodcast. My son is in prison. It's been 6 years already. Watching the show makes me understand what he might be going through 😪. This one had me crying 😢. Great job, Negra 👍
Great interview. I worked at Salinas Valley "C" and "D" yard 180 in the late 90's. Being a new prison it was extremely violent. Lots of lockdowns with inmate and C/O stabbings. Never had many programs for the inmates due to the lockdowns, so when the inmates would come out, they would either clean house or assaults staff. Glad to see he made it out of this treacherous environment.
Just want to say that this was to me and I am a new fan to indictment. Brian, I’m so proud of you. Also I want to say I’m sorry about your grandma. Obviously she was a great loss. No doubt about that. I also feel the same way about my grandma.interesting life story I’ve ever heard most touching. I wish you luck and may God bless you.
Small tip: Spatial audio quality doesn't sound great because depending on who's talking, the audio tends to lean in that direction. Listeners are only hearing out of one ear depending on who's talking. This is great for sound effects when trying to track an image and sound, but it's not the best use of sound for interviews.
The audio has improved significantly, thanks it definitely makes listening enjoyable and Negra's interviewing skills have improved also, keep it up appreciate the content. 👍🏻✌🏼Got to give it Brian, very articulate, intelligent and impressive life story, needs to write a book, give Victor Hugo a run for his money 😂
There are multiple types of psychological syndromes all related to prisoners, relatives of prisoners both free and deceased that never goes away. You are just left to deal with and live with it... you learn to compartmentalize things...
Since 1 to 9 years old dang I don't even remember half my childhood and I only drank. Just remember 13 until 19. Fighting, stealing, and getting arrested.
I love your content!!! I'm ashamed to say I'm new to what you've been doing, but I'm so glad you bring something a lil different. I'm definitely a fan. I respect your platform. Now I want more....lol.
I remember the hunger strike that started in Pelican Bay. The thought process for C.D.C., was that the higher echelon of the penitentiary gangs would take advantage of going to the main line to communicate and organize with other members of their groups. Right or wrong , this is /was the belief.
NEGRA CON TODO RESPECTO FIRST AND FOREMOST, JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW U GOT THIS DOWN NOW KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK HERMOSA MUJER ❤❤NEW MEMBR..4EVER YOURS NEGRA 😊⚘️🍀💯💯💪🫡🏆🏆🙏🏻🙏🏻GREAT INTERVIEW AND THE MESSAGE LIFE IS SO SHORT AND IT'S NEVER TOO LATE FOR A NEW CHAPTER OR TO MAKE OUR GOALS AND DREAMS INTO A REALITY. I wonder if shell interview northerns and history and whats important Hispanic unity ..i hear both sides and were undoubtedly the same just different area codes
but in reality if they all would have kept quiet they most likely would have went home… telling the cops guarantees you wont go home so they probably should have listened to him.. but from the sounds of it they we’re talking long before he got there n thats how he even got there cuz they were telling cux the cops arent jus gonna automatically kno who to go pick up
Very articulate in sharing his story. Glad to see him thriving in his freedom.
