Wasn't rooting for this team, but gotta respect the sheer determination of those final two. Plus as a fellow big guy, loved seeing a big guy who didn't shrink to nothing by the end and still had a ton of fuel in the tank.
Didn't encourage the girl on the raft, never tried to encourage teammates when struggling- just minds on the money. Selfish, shouldve been on Alone instead.
Easy to judge behind a screen, it’s totally different being there starving for months with a chance to win life changing money. Those who win, do whatever it takes. Just like in war, only those willing to do what it takes.
At first i hated how they voted their teammate off. But he clearly wasnt going to make that trek to the finish. Was a bit heartless, but it paid off. so i cant hate on it too much
It was shady because they never told him there were only 48 hours left, and tried to play it off like they were "so concerned" for his health. They weren't concerned, they were talking about the sports cars they wanted to buy. If they were ACTUALLY concerned they wouldn't have told him they were going to vote him out if he didn't flare.
A real man with integrity would tell their teammate the actual truth and at least vote him off with some truthfulness and dignity. These guys absolutely were immoral by using deception and manipulating the trust he had in them. It’s gross honestly.
Not to mention the way they deceived the other team to vote off their teammate that was at least honest about how he was playing. They lied and caused the demise of the other team with no intent on having an alliance. I trust the 1st guy 100x more than these 2 weasels
the dichotomy between Joseph and Drew is insane. They both make references to god. The only difference is I believe Joseph. Joseph never did wrong by anybody, never was willing to sacrifice someone for himself. Drew thanked god when he got on that boat. But besides that. I didn’t see a single Christian thing from him. And I ain’t advocating super strong for Christianity here. Dude it was a game… And if the other team was smart they would have voted that girl off when they realized she was already struggling so bad. They probably would have won had they done so.
If the goal was the losing team facing death, then which team would you want to be on? Having morals and playing a game are two different and mutually exclusive things. Keeping weak people and overly optimistic people and being excessively forgiving are all privileges and flexes of resource heavy societies. When you bring those mindsets into bare minimum resource environments, you end up getting more people in trouble. In this case, keeping the weak people leads to loss of money. In the real world keeping the weak people leads to loss of life and life of others. Keeping that woman was a mistake. Keeping the the sneaky construction guy was a mistake, keeping the overly optimistic guy was a mistake. Very simple. Nothing to do with anything other than the goal being to win the money, not to be the most morally profound. Anyone who likes sports probably liked this outcome. If you don’t like sports and never played because you sucked or were never picked then you hated this outcome.
