the commercial is scary itself, it's storming outside, he has a creepy smile, and he says " I'm right here...and I will always will be!!!" in a murderous stare.

@kives1985 I'm 21 and I don't enjoy thunderstorms. When I was younger, I was really afraid of them. Nowadays, I just get nervous when there is a thunderstorm because I get surprised by the lightning. I do sometimes - rarely - get afraid of them, but that's only if there's a chance of a tornado or it's storming really badly. I don't react like the girl in the commercial does, and I agree that this commercial is bogus.

This commercial is bad not because of the serial killer vibe (which I definitely pick up on), but because in the year 2010 some woman needs some man to pat her on her silly little head and tell her he can protect her from some damn thunderstorm.
