The Giant Caplico ice cream cone advert is a tad strange; it almost seems to imply that the main attraction of the product is the process of unwrapping it, not eating the actual ice cream.
It was promoting it’s new unwrapping method. The guy in the beginning said so.

I went to Japan for a week and I shit you not about 80% of the commericals are like this. They are very creativity weird and they put a lot of effort in filming them in high quality. It's odd to say the least but very enjoyable and completely unpredictable

Not really... its a collaboration between One piece and Nissin called hungry days. A series of commercials feat. One piece characters reimagined as highschool students. As of now, we only have Zoro, Nami and Vivi versions. Also check out the music video of Bump of Chicken who did the background song.
