- If you love your cabinet front design and don’t want to ruin the looks by installing the handle, push-openers are the ideal option for you. They are placed inside the cabinet giving furniture a sleek look. No more drilling for a nob or handle, push-opener replaces them both!
Watch my film to see how to install the push-to-open function. It will take just a few minutes and the door will open with just a gentle push. I used the option for Ikea Besta cabinets but the solution will work equally well with different kind of fronts, too.

Thanks for the video K- nemo. However im a little confused, whats the benefit of these on units with doors that dont meet in the middle,(single door on a unit for example) when you can still pull it open usong your fingers? Or am i mussing something

You can get some fixings free of charge in Ikea. Check the number of parts in manual.

When I bought the besta door I also bought "besta Soft closing/push-open hinge" separately, this has those plastic tabs. Hope this helps

Hay dos sistemas de bloqueo para las puertas para elegir. I've tried it but it still doesn't work for me, although I'm glad it has worked for others.
I am considering these for a Metod stand alone kitchen cabinet but they appear to stick out too much when the door is open. My fear is that these openers could be caught by clothing etc when the door is open and could be a trip hazard/ pull-the-unit-from-the-wall hazard etc. After seeing this video I am inclined not to purchase and perhaps purchase soft close hinges instead

I do not recommend. This is good for small doors that don't bend.

If you mean push opener there is only one size.
If you mean the cupboard I'm not absolutely sure but we have chosen one of the smallest ones.

I have the same type of door. But my kids open it by touching top of the door. So I would like to know if there are any magnets to it so the door sticks to it.
No, unfortunately there is no magnet inside, the very light touch will open the door

La perilla ajusta la distancia entre la puerta y el marco. Demasiado pequeño: no presionará ni abrirá. Demasiado grande - fea grieta en frente de la puerta.

This is an old video but in the bag with the besta hunger and this decide there are metal brackets. What do those brackets do? What are they used for? There is absolutely nothing on the bag that tells you what they’re used for!

would this somehow work on a double-doored PAX? Can these me installed on the bottom and top side of the furniture?
Yes, you can install the opener at the top or bottom but you have to remember you will have to press near the opener to open the door.

What about the drawers. Put handles on them and you may as well put handles on them all.

Door cannot open now...even if i press many times...now cant open..the magnet is not functioning..how to open now? Ive no idea
It will work when you regulate the opener, 1:04. You have to find the position in which it works all the time.
hmm, how would this work in a cabinet with double doors? Unless you want to drill into the bottom and mount it "on the floor" of the cabinet or possibly the lowest shelf I don't see how you'd do this.
Maybe on the "ceiling" of the double cabinet? You will need to press the top of the door to open and close it securely and conveniently. Where you will push open.
@@k-nemo I am sure that would work yes, however... as that would be well out of reach without a footstool, it would be... somewhat inconvenient :) I am in the final touches of assembling my new kitchen and I do hate that idea of drilling holes for the handles in them. Ikeas webpage lack the assembly manual for this particular item, was looking at videos such as yours for information.
I must agree that the furniture often look better without handles. I hope you have solved the problem and have beautiful cupboard by now.

Hi, how do I stop the doors dropping towards the middle...? The gaps are fine on the hinge side but the weight if the door seems to be too much for the hinges. TIA.
Are the doors actually dropping into the middle of the cupboard or are not inline with the side.
@@k-nemo I think they're dropping... I have tried adjusting the screw as shown in the vid, but it doesnt work. The gaps are all over the place...
@@AR_909 A R The doors are pretty big, they can't drop into the cupboard. I think the best idea is to take the door off the hinge, double check if the hinge is put in the right place. The wardrobe has handles / knobs. Using a push opener wouldn't be practical and the pre-drilled holes for the handles will be visible

I managed to remove them with 2 little forks. Gently push one of the fork-tips into each of the two clips at the backside and then it comes out again!
