You will have to change the diff ratio from 4:1 to 3.5:1 or 3:1 if you want usable power and not be overwhelmed by the extra torque produced by the V6.

Good video! I'm in the middle of the same engine swap, but into an 85 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 that originally had the 2.8. I'm currently working on pinning out the ecm from the 94 camaro. It's tedious work for sure, and there is not much info out there.

Thanks for making this video! I’ve been considering this engine swap as a project and it helps to know ahead of time!😊

Thanks Mark, I am about to start down the same path on my 73 Roadster, I agree there is not much out there on builds so looking forward to watching more from you and hope you stay ahead enough of me for more tips!😃

These engines really need long tube headers no cat and straight pipes dyno proven 20plus hp at 5500rpm the heads need to be polished at least. And cam wise the comp cams 1000 to 5000rpm 440in 440ex is what wakes it up. And sunce this will be a car that goes 0 to 75 for some fun fast and cruise on the hwy for good mpg long tube headers will give you for sure 3 to 5mpg i was getting 33mpg on the hwy with a built up 2.8bored 30 over. I know there's not alot of room for headerz but i would find a way to get them in there

Hi Mark - enjoyed the video. You may know this already but you have asbestos over your transmission tunnel. Take great care removing it. Get professional help that’s what I did. Good luck

Hey, any chance you might have the dimensions of the Chevy 3.4 V6? I have a Volvo 1800ES, and I think the Volvo engine bay is a little bigger than the MG.

might be worth getting an intake from a fwd car to get some more hood clearance, also curious if there was a packaging issue that made you go with the 3.4 over a 3.8. looking forward to seeing how this comes together.
