The idea to build a shipping container home was definitely one of the wildest ones we've had and if you've been joining our weekly videos for any amount of time you know that's saying something. Without question, it's a project that is much more difficult than we thought it would be but we're having fun along the way and that's what counts. Why was the previous installer not responsible for replacing the damaged siding ??
They have not given many details, but I have a feeling the contractor in question was confronted he walked away with his middle finger in the air. In the states this happens all the time. They want a deposit, they know I out your walls and disappear. When you demand they finish they say it is going to cost more. And they probably are living hand to mouth so there is no way to sue them when they have no money.

I'm pretty sure they said beginning of the video they just finished dealing with the contractor issues legally which is why they can finally take it down, I assume they had to leave it on as evidence.
How did the contractor not know it was all wrong? Were they hoping they wouldn’t notice? Sounds shady. Was it the contractors they were feeding or another company?
I watched your podcast last Wednesday. Todd, you are one lucky man. You have three handsome Labs in your life. All of them are soft and cuddly and will keep you warm this winter. On top of that, all three are housebroken.

I don’t know how lawsuits work in Canada, but that contractor should be liable for the loss value of the siding. What else did they do wrong? I forgot….
Gosh - so sorry your contractor put up the siding wrong - I probably would have started ugly rage crying if I discovered this kind of error on my house
