I like how you made the connection of how both Matt and Fisk say “my city” or “this city”. They have a certain ownership and duty to where they come from. Your analysis of Fisk is spot on at this point in the show. I can’t wait for you to see more of these characters it just gets better and better
Matt's middle name is Michael he used it and with a nickname 'Mike' in the comics
In the comic books Fisk was known to kill his own henchmen if they even mentioned Vanessa's name in the wrong tone, so when I saw this I had a good idea of what was coming for that poor Russian. You guys are great!
Hey nessa is hardcore tho she killed their own son to protect willie. That takes a different type of female to protect her husband from her power hungry child. I mean power hungry becuz he only tried to kill wilson to get his money

Glad you guys are enjoying the show. The acting from everyone from the main cast to the supporting cast is great, the fight scenes, the story telling, the characters. This show fire on all cylinders.
I think backstory on Wesley's and Wilson's friendship would be cool. Because I'm curious to see how those two met.
Season 1 writing and acting are so amazing that you are emotionally invested in all of the characters.
I love how Matt does a quick little smile when asked how he felt about the guy being in a coma
that scene ( car door ) was what convinced Vincent D'Onofio to take this role and was surprised they actually did it . this show has so many angles to it and apparently the new daredevil " born again " on D+ will be shot in NY which adds so much to the tone-
Fun fact on the Russian bro getting car decapitated; he's Gideon Emery, mainly known in Teen Wolf and as a voice actor. He's Fenris from Dragon Age 2, Poseidon in God of War, and Balthier in Final Fantasy 12

This show is so good. And there is no one in the Marvel Universe like Fisk. Daredevil and Fisk are the ultimate adversaries. Season 2 of this season is just as strong, and Jessica Jones hits just as hard, maybe harder.

There are certain characters in certain shows, where you LOVE the character.... even while ITCHING to see them eventually get what's coming to them.
Wesley.... Gaius Baltar.... Alfred Bester... Benjamin Linus... the list is very extensive. But Wesley has totally earned a spot on the list.

If you like this I think you would like Lucifer the cases are not complex but the character development is fascinating.
There's so many episodes of this show that I can't see marvel studios producing. I genuinely don't need gore. But I do need good drama and three dimensional villains.
Marvel did Netflix's Daredevil. It would be Disney that is problematic
marvel studios did actually produce this show but at the time the set up for tv was different. Kevin Feige had to go through tv producer Ike Perlmutter to get these shows going. Ike didn't believe running shows and movies concurrently in the same universe could ever work and he constantly fought Kevin Feige over this fact. Thats why references to the greater MCU were extremely limited and why these characters never showed up in the movies. Obviously Netflix had to distribute because Disney Plus didnt exist back then. So yeah, Disney and Marvel Studios absolutely 100% produced these shows. they were just severely limited in continuity because of Ike Perlmutter and thats why Kevin feige ultimately had to ignore them.

The main money maker is drugs. Madam Gao makes drugs and they used the Russians taxi business to distribute the product.
