Just finished my brand new VICKY-TWENTY build from Bob’s PCB. All brand new except the VIC and ROMs!

Excellent video. I would have probably installed the electrolytic capacitor laying on its side to reduce the height. I've made quite a few of Sven Petersen's C64 projects over the last few years.

Did you know, you can do 40 column text on the VIC-20. There were software workarounds, back-in-the-day.

I concur. Here in North America, we always used our early micros for as much productivity as games. I had a Vic and had more than a few productivity titles that ran in 40 columns. It was far from perfectly crisp, but much more useful than 22 columns. There were type in programs in magazines like Compute’s Gazette and Transactor that allowed you to enable 40 columns for just about any text based program. Keep in mind though that most people here bought monitors and didn’t use TVs over RF as was common in Europe.
