My first bike was a 1956 Francis Barnett and it had a Viliers single in it about 200cc if I recall rightly. But I do remember it was a great running engine

I race a 1952 Manx Norton that has a 1937 J.A.P. B4 speedway engine in it, the guy who bought the Norton new fitted the engine.

I had a 1938 OK Supreme 350 cc having a Pilgrim total loss oil pump. Often called a dead loss pump, I rode it for one summer and sold it for 15 pounds
