Well done that Man, I'm 70 yrs old, and a biker back in the day. To see this fella bring back into existence these gorgeous machines brings a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat. We live in terrible times, with the boys clubs around the world running us all into extinction for there profit and Gain. This lift's the veils of corruption to bring a little sunshine of hope to my fellow brothers and sisters around a sad planet. Bless that Man.
This is awesome and amazing. The great British shed builder, can’t beat em. Hats off to the unbelievable knowledge and skill. Sounds amazing too!
This man is amazing! He did his own engineering, designing, molding and produced his own parts to make his own replica of 3 different motorcycles!
This is just fabulous! Reminds me of Mr. Millyard and his V twins. No wonder Britannia Ruled the Waves for so long.
Something about the Industrial revolution that changed the world. I am amazed at the inventions, discovery, and creation that has emerged from one small island
There are some clever people, this man is definitely one.
The world is a richer place with guys like Richard in it, sadly guys like him are dwindling in numbers, just beautiful.
Beautifully engineered, built and running bike, a credit to you sir. Sounds fantastic too. Cheers from Australia.
Absolutely incredible. Proper British craftsmanship at work there - back to when guys would build amazing things in their "sheds". I am available for immediate adoption by the way (well-used, balding 50's with odd accent in Mexico - but whatever - just throwing it out there 😀)
My jaw is on the floor! You make somethig bordering on impossible sound easy. Great.
A true labor of love...Thank you for sharing your bike with us lesser skilled motorheads. It is absolutely gorgeous.
3.5 years is incredibly short for such a big project. good job
It baffles me how these blokes do this. Incredible.
Beautiful bikes , amazing craftsmanship. A joy to behold.
They often skip lunch....because they find their lathe 'calls' louder!
man oh man!, this gives me the fizz, The stance, the motor package and the engineering execution make me once gain feel like that ape in 2001 space odyssey .
Sir, you are some sort of genius and I am green with envy at your skills.
Happy trails !
Englishmen love their motorcycles , this man’s. Enthusiasm is exceptional, the stuff we are made of thank god
Fascinating! I am in awe of your machining and fabrication skills...just brilliant
I love this. Masterful.
Thank you Mr. Johns, you made my day. What a pleasure to see you hold a giant middle finger to all those who say "you can't DO that".
Long live your spirit !
That makes the heart of an old British biker sing, the fantastic noise from those pipes on the overun is pure music. Well done.
What i like in great britain,is that people pratice hobby with professionalism,so that, even in the smallest village,or supposed to be isolated places,we can always expect to find treasures in craftmanship and engineering.Excellence will never get lost there.
A 1930's superbike- that is the coolest thing I've seen in a while :)
Absolutely no words to describe the grandeur of this incredible work of yours.
I send here my CONGRATULATIONS from Brazil.
A massive project, that only a master could do ! Congratulations big time. I came near buying an AJS in about 1957 or so, a single. Really loved the Matchless bikes of that time, in the US. Again super builder, you are . Thanks for showing and explaining… 👍🏻🇺🇸
You must have more enthusiastic neighbours than I had in my sprinting days 60s/ 70s but from one engineering madman to another , well done!!
Proper, indeed.
It makes most “custom” motorcycles look kinda weak. I’m a Yank, and most of our builders create parade floats.
@@ibnewton8951 I saw some bike guy on YT that rode a couple of their bikes,he said they were the most uncomfortable and bad handling bikes he'd ever ridden, style over substance should be the OCC motto.
It sounds lovely. that first gear goes forever. I just bet that’s a joy to ride
Thumbs up from California!!
Absolutely wonderful. Fantastic piece of engineering.
Superb ! The guy's a genius.
You and Allen Milyard should get together and build a bike! Beautiful bike!
I am amazed!!! What a person can do just floors me. That bike is probably one of the best bike builds I have ever seen. I wish I had 1/2 of your knowledge and 1/10th of your gumption. If I built that bike I would sleep next to it.
Thank you for that warm fuzzy feeling beautifully engineered with a real motorbike sound.
Bring em all back to life !!!
Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.
Awesome work, thank you for sharing
As a retired engineer/machinist - I am extremely impressed with all the work. Much kudos producing a real gem. priceless :)
A master machinist and engineer at work, fabulous
Oh my god this is awesome what a beautiful machine.
Wow! You are one talented man! What a beautiful bike!! Well done sir! Greetings and cheers from Indiana!
Brilliant work sounds amazing. The original was found in Tasmania and was up for sale and came home. In early eighties.
Extremely talented engineer thanks for a great video
Marvelous job, well done.
I like the SOUND!
Just loved watching this. The historical background gives the journey great context. I like the way you use the word 'excursion' as if 3.5 years of engineering magic was a walk in the park. Thank you for sharing. You're amazing.
I'd love to live next door to you and listen to that beautiful engine, amazing workmanship. Thanks for the video.
Well done! 👍🇦🇺
Sir, I DO wish I lived on your street! To hear your bikes going up and down would be a REAL treat! Well done I wish I had one percent of your knowledge and skill! What next Maybe a 1000cc BSA V twin? or a Johns Vincent copy???
Well done sir it's people like you that put the great in great britain.
WOW what a great job you did
That is outstanding! I have always been enamored with the craftsmanship and sound of the old bikes. Thank you for sharing this.
You're my hero! Well done man. Fit and finish is beautiful as are your skills as a fabricator and engineering.
Proud Papa! And rightfully so!
Fantastic craftsmanship, I can screw things together, but that is just something very special, you are a genius Sir, I bow down to you.
Hats of to you Sir
Amazing work. Well done!

Genius! Fascinating video. Thank you!
This dude is smart as hell
Consider me impressed. Roll on decent weather...
Beautiful result, the essence of British bikes perfectly captured. AJcette? love it.
Some people are just too clever. Well done sir.
As an old AJS Triumph BSA guy, I'm moved by this guy and what he's created. So proud of what you've created my friend. You deserve the Gr Gand Metal of Honor for what you've done. Would be an honor to meet you.
Absolutely amazing! You are definitely a very gifted and talented man to achieve these bikes.👍🙂
First class work sir 👍
Utterly magnificent work Richard. You're smile says it all.
Amazing job. You are a talented man!

Amazing …just amazing bravo sir
Some really fine craftsmanship,bravo Sir.
The "like you do" comment, unfortunately for me that would be "like I wish".
Awesome skills and a beautiful result.
Beautiful Machine !!!
Excellent story and shed engineering at its very best. Your V twin looks factory built and all thee bikes are beautiful. Both you and you family must be very proud of your achievements
Just awesome.
Fantastic ! You are impressive, I hope you have taught others how to carry on your wonderful work. Beautiful Motorcycle ! 👍🇺🇸
Amazing!
A man, a shed and buckets of engineering skill. Wow, top class video. Bike looks and sounds fantastic. Top hat off to you sir. Thanks for sharing with us. John
Just wonderful!
Amazing stuff, more of this please
That's just brilliant 👏 👌what a sound fantastic
Absolutely amazing
That is a work of art,I hope you're proud of your achievement (s).thank you for posting the video.
Big thank you sir
got a huge smile on face !!!
you really are very gifted by your hard work !!
Works of art. 👍
Pat on the back great job ❤ very cool bike. Here in NZ a freind has a cammy AJS and rides it on the street. Private builders are great to see. Here in Christchurch we had BEARS racing the base of where John Britten and his talented team of helpers grew from. We have had guys building engines from very early times. Fascinating storys behind these builders. I was part of team Harley & we built the BLACKADDER McKintosh Harley. Buiding and customising bikes is a real love affair.
Nicely Done Report Thank You 🏁
People like Richard shoUld be taught about in schools.
Now that is beautiful craftsmanship, I would compare that with Morgan's , beautiful, mechanical works of art . You have gorgeous motorcycles, that is for sure . Thank you for sharing .
bellissime moto e tanti complimenti per lo splendido lavoro fatto da quest'uomo, meraviglioso
You Sir are simply amazing & unfortunately, most likely, a dying breed. What an amazing talent you are & what a beautiful build!
I doubt there are many left in the world that can do what you did.
Every respect to Richard, love how he needs a part and just goes ahead and knocks one up!
Wonderful motorbikes and fabulous work, so very well done Richard and I would guess that you know about Allen Millyard's wonderful creations.
Thanks for this brilliantly entertaining video, and do be careful out there!
Chapeau... what a splendid bike, and a great combination of vision and skills to make it.
British Men in their sheds...... world class engineering. Awesome work.
The British have failed at engineering as a whole
@@sippyface4888 absolute bollocks. treat yourself to a history book and see all the world leading engineering achievements that Britain has produced. we still lead today, most F1 teams are based here in the UK, Rolls Royce aero engines, Airbus, Dyson, the list is endless
@@sippyface4888 It’s broadly true, an unfortunate consequence of having an empire and the captive market that went with it. Products with a guaranteed customer didn’t have to be of the highest quality and when the guaranteed customers had gone and found better elsewhere it was the beginning of the end. Sadly us average Anglo Saxons were not the architects of this imperial misadventure, as we were conquered in 1066 and just subjects thereafter. When slinging gangster ruling class accusations at the Russians it should also be remembered who still holds what material riches in this country and how they were obtained.
@sippyface4888 some you can't do,and know nothing about, name says it all.
