Just pulled the trigger and bought a 1956 Thunderbird with unit cylinder and top... This has become my new favorite channel! 😅 I daily drive a Thruxton 900 2006, so I have a lot to learn! Thanks
No kidding folks, the Weems shirt he is wearing is my favorite T shirt. It is my Saturday shirt unless I'm getting greasy, then it is my Sunday shirt. It is super comfortable.
Yeah, the concentrics are easy to take apart and clean--except for the idle jet passage. "Balancing" them is strictly mechanical at first with cable adjustments and the ole 3/16" drill bit trick, then tweaking the idle stops and air screws to get it running smooth. It never lasts optimally in one setting for a long time. I have found that retarding the timing verrry slightly (electronic, havent used points since 80's) and riching it up a little helps run them a bit cooler in Florida heat and humidity. I'd also recommend for anyone doing a rebuild not using their parts bin, to get the new slides and floats that came out awhile ago for these. No more score marks or discolorations. less dirt!
I love this bike. Waiting for the fire up. Other than my lack of skill , I keep thinking that it could be 80 % possible to do in my garage. Thats why I like your videos. 👍
I gotta tell you man. I love Amal concentric carburetors. To me they are the easiest carbs to deal with and dial in. Love your build. Move your rear pegs lol. Just kidding. Have a great day.
I have a question for you man! What is your rec9mmendation when you are renting a dry clutch on pre unit with out primary cases about crankcase breather pipe conection, everyt8me that I run mine i have a little issue with oil leak on that pile, I only nstalled a rubber tubing directed to the floor, I was thinking to conect it to the oil tank breather
A little oil out of the breather isnt bad. However, if you are getting a lot then it is a sign that something internal may be off. Easy fix is to vent the pressure through a rockerbox cap!
i still think no primery chain covers are a really really bad and very Dangerous idea ( even just some bikini types just covering the tops and sides would look cool and offer protection). i love the way the bike is comeing along apart from that
aargh !, lose that sissy bar it ruins the whole otherwise on target build, weld a couple of crescent wrenches together, a couple of tyre irons for a rear fender support just not that 'Drag Spec' sissy bar.
I see where you're coming from - that sissy bar sucks, but twisted spanners are a meme too far in my opinion - home welded it should be, you're right pal
Well had a 1971 b Bonneville with the duel Amos tickle buttons. Love that bike. Right now working on a what was a 1999 ground pounder. Put it into a Softail custom frame. Then I got some Maine work to do on my riders and then think I will restore a little stein Ive been meaning to get to for the grandkids..@@weemsmotorco

Loving "The Jury" build. I would love a nice usable bike like this, but alas I think my back may be too old for a hard tail these days lol.

I am not a big fan of up-sweeps. Those frickin pipes look perfect on this Bike. Hole Bike is kick a$$. 🤘😎
Robert, Thanks! The pipes do fit the style of it perfectly!
What is that background noise in this video?? Wowsers! 😬
Great Ear! That was my AC. I need to turn the noise cancellation up a few notices. Sorry about that!

A little safety wouldnt hurt!
