Hey Bekah! Thank you for being an amazing inspiration to women in drumline! Your work is amazing and I hope to reach your level of expertise one day as a senior entering my last year in high school snare line! ❤️great video
Awesome video! I am out of breath just watching. It's about time we get to see female percussionists kick ass. Been a fan of the Blue Devils for more than 40 years. Looking forward to seeing your growth as a performer in 2024.
8:05... i am dying.. oh my god i laughed for 5 minutes... thank you for such a great video... I wish the 70's and 80's would have had this tech... you represent the BD brand well!!!!! thank you from an old drum corps guy!!!
I loved seeing you in bluecoats, especially a girl being in a Drumline! Aspire to be you! I, myself. Am a girl in Drumline at indoor, and I wish there were more girls in the Drumline! Keep it up!
What kind of sticks did BD use on snare this season? It's interesting to hear/see the writing during the parts you can't hear because the hornline is playing full out. This was a pretty tough book so congrats to the kids who made it work. Not sure anyone could have cleaned some of those features perfectly. Almost inhumane on those fast shots lol.
I always loved playing with drumsticks named after airplanes 🤣🤣🤣 Back in my day, I played with ProMark DC 9's and 10's (the short, tipless DC-10's were my favorite! God I miss those sticks!)
I played drums (a big kit in a rock band) for many years, but was never on a drumline. Both of my boys however did play on their HS and College drumlines...one was snare and the other was bass. This is such a cool video because I now know what they experienced while playing. Thanks and good job Bekah! 👍
Crazy seeing it from this perspective how there are so many people walking around shouting a metronome so if you lose the beat you can just pick it up from someone else. Teamwork is sick here
I’m just a self taught kit drummer for my own amusement, that was super interesting to see, hella teamwork, precision, and workout! I also couldn’t play traditional, tendon issues in my left thumb, so your POV was very cool to see Is that you or one of your squad calling that cadence? Thanks for posting
You guys are so lucky to be able to play Ludwig drums. The best sounding marching percussion. Anyone that says Pearl is better, never heard Ludwig back when. It was the spund all others wanted to achieve on the field. They are making the comeback
@dciaudio they're the best sounding on the field any day. It is because they have been away for awhile, and not being used that people do not appreciate the sound.
I aways thought drumline was so cool. That's where the REAL drumming talent is. Very cool indeed! I also think the verbal tempo cues are a neat idea. It's not like the audience is going to hear it, am I right?
Call me old school (I am), but I wish they wouldn’t do all the “tut tut tut tut”. Sounds goofy. All that aside the Devils have been my favorite corp since I was in DCI back in the late 70’s early 80’s. Told you I was old school.
They run around a field all day for practice, and sometimes they practice under a hot sun outside, too. No need to be in a sweat-drenched shirt if no one else minds.
@@machinebeard1639 why does a woman’s success make you so mad lol. this “playing like a girl” seems to win world championships. and according to your comment that means your neck will never be as heavy as hers.
It takes weeks of practice to get the music with the feet but it’s possible, I’ve already done a 10 min field show and I’m just a freshman in high school
The members literally practice all day, everyday, for weeks. As a kid in the early 80’s, DCI was in my home town and a corp stayed at the high school down the street. They would put in several hours of practice before the evening performance/competition, in hot weather (July in IA).

This was so good love to see women in drum line and high places like the blue devils makes my heart happy best wishes ❤
Been 5 years since my last show. Needed this little nostalgic motivation today. Thank You
Wow, fantastic job. Brings it all back. Scouts, approx 100 years ago. :)
Go ate Bekah🥁🇵🇭
Bravo to you, an accomplished woman in the drum line. Highest respect to you. Hope you are having fun. From a guy from Blue Rocks, Wilmington DE, 1969
a couple of my most favorite sounds ever, marching snares and quads .
The blue devils are a awesome drum and bugle Corp I Saw them live in san Diego at the old qualicum stadium and it was a great show
I really enjoyed this! New respect for the band!
5:08 that shot was personal 😂
Your solo was SO clean
Nice recovery for the opening choreo, I like dinasoura
Desde Colombia, esperando llegar a ser como ustedes 😔👏

Love all the Ditty nods 🔥🔥🔥

Woohoo! Great job this season!
Cool behind the scenes video. I saw the official show. Very impressive. Very well performed

Yup

Is there any judge box view coming out? So clean, I would love to see the whole field show.
One thing about band: it’s a meritocracy. Nobody cares your race, creed, sexual proclivity… Can you play? She can play.
Wow, thanks!

Cebuano saying her Lola used to say all the time: "Hinay, hinay, day" = Slow down, girl (aka, chill and enjoy life).
Might be my favorite headcam out of everyone in the corps lmao
So bad ass!!

LOLLLL WHY AM I JUST SEEING THIS IM DEAD

Hey Bekah i just want you to know that you have inspired a high school junior that plays flute to learn snare! 😼❤️
Ok well now I have to go spend 15 minutes looking for high cam footage of the choreo. You've simply left me with no other choice
Finally get to see the legend Bekah doing her thang🔥🔥🐐🥁
Hope to see this young 🙏 lady ☀️ summer..😊
That would of been cool to see you film your journey through Covid shut down and see you march RCC and now your a Blue Devil..
Epic 💙

She the cooliest women snare player I ever seen, also reminding me Jovana Mullin

They earned it, they are not lucky. Big difference
@aleksanderhagatveit6002 earned it? Explain that? You mean by trying out and getting a spot, or that Ludwig bought up and saved system blue?
Not sure what planet you’re from where Ludwig drums are better than Pearl/Yamaha but you’re sorely mistaken.
They are okay but not amazing tho
@dciaudio they're the best sounding on the field any day. It is because they have been away for awhile, and not being used that people do not appreciate the sound.
bekah is my favorite blue devil band member (This post was made by tumpet gang)

Why are all the young boyz shirtless??? How odd.

It must be nice to show up and get a spot just for being a girl.
you sound like you got cut real bad. are you mad that you’ll never come close to her level 🥺
@ethanevanoff8237 Am I glad I don't have to be stuck only playing like a girl? Yes.
@@machinebeard1639 why does a woman’s success make you so mad lol. this “playing like a girl” seems to win world championships. and according to your comment that means your neck will never be as heavy as hers.
for sure bud 👍 that is totally completely 100% how the audition process works lmfao
I’d be more angry if I wasn’t more baffled that people like you genuinely still exist
This isn't possible ..you can't remember all the drumming and the marching 😮😮😮😮😮.....it's incredible congratulations to everyone of you!!!!
