Character : Cloud Strife
Boss : Phoenix Summon
Difficulty : Full Might
Challenge : No Damage, No elemental spells (Ice, Thunder, etc...), Solo.
Build :
(🔵Elemental - 🟢Ice) (🟣Precision defense)
(🟢Empowerment - 🟣HP up)
(i probably should have used 🟢Ice and Fire materia linked to 🔵Elemental...)

In my first successful solo attempt, I unintentionally healed Phoenix with the last hit of Firebolt Blade. Looking back on it now, I'm pretty sure that "mistake" was what made that run a success, lol. Having to manage the HP and stagger bars together was a real pain.
You wanted to give him a fair chance.
What they did to Cloud is amazing. How fluid he can swap between stances and go into blocking, how fast he moves and dodges, his aerial moveset. Hope this time counterstance will be unlocked sooner than last story chapter.
Counterstance animation is now in the moveset

This is nuts!! There’s been so many additions that change combat. My eyes just can’t follow what you’re doing. But I love it. It’s mental to me how people can be this good in such a short time.

What is the green swirly effect left after killing g the Flan? Some AoE heal aura?
I think it's my summon materia that's causing this aura.
How do you send those flashes from your sword and how do you do aerial combat?
evade + attack (circle + square)
To get into aerial combat : circle + hold square.
I cant wait to practice and get like this

wait how do u get the dash thru and turn around move to come out?
In punisher mode, when you press triangle while attacking, he will do that move.
Did you put an elemental materia and ice materia on thr sword.
The combos are so smooth

At 0:07, how did you make that move that made Cloud fly up and attack him with aerial attacks? I can't ever seem how to do aerial attacks on this game unless with the use of abilities.
attack immediately after a dodge, then hold Square
@@onthefaultline Does that work with Tifa as well? I really haven't seen that tutorial in-game, if there ever was, for aerial combat.
@@Radagon543it doesn’t work with tifa, you have to use a synergy ability
@@ultraslayer9255 I think Reverse Gale enables you to fly and then do aerial combat even if it does not hit any enemy.

how did you do the sweep attack to go behind the enemy
Pressing triangle after most of the punisher attacks will get you behind the enemy and switch you back
Holding square after dodging also has a teleport/gap-closer
wow, impressive! how do you get Cloud to shoot green blades at the enemy?
Evade + press attack button.
(Circle + Square)
You have to dodge and then press square to shot the blade beams

At 0:49 how did you block the damage?
You can parry in punisher mode and it'll do a slightly different animation.
I assume Faith is for increasing Elemental Materia's damage, right?
All magical damage.
How does your limit increase so quickly?
By staggering enemies and perfect blocking.

I use Bravery and Faith spells from Empowerment materia 🟢.
They increase physical (Bravery) and magical (Faith) damage.
@mSo like what level are you though and are you also using the power wristguards + or whatever they're called? Cause that's my damage *with* those spells lol at level 22/23 or so

I thought i was seeing wrong when i realized the duration. Its busted 😂
How do you frame block magic? I always seem to eat magic damage when I try to perfect block it...
I press block button at the right time.
It's all a matter of timing. There is a materia that increases the window of timing for a perfect block if you find yourself struggling to get the hang of it.

One thing I noticed is that these hits are quite small compared to other ff titles with 9999 or 99,999 break damage limit. I hope the hit will increase towards end game
It’s only the beginning stages. The characters aren’t even in their full potential. In the last game Cloud at lvl 50 could do a maximum damage of 9999 with Infinity Circle. The lvl cap has been raised to 70 now. Be patient.
You're only level 21 in the demo, it's early game content.
