one important fact that I'm not sure was mentioned is that if you cut the main stem in two, you will see a cross pattern in the pith of the stem , hence the name cross vine! The cross pattern in the stem is more pronounced at the base of the plant.

Hi! I’m from Manassas and lived around Central Virginia, most recently Charlottesville. I’ve spent a lot of time fishing the Rappahannok at Fredburg and the Rapadan at Richardsville until the 1990s when I moved north. In all my time in the woods and in the Park, I’ve never seen it. Is Lake Anna the furthest east and north the plant grows in Va? I’m currently in 7b, I’d love to train it up a pergola. Wild would be best for medicinal use? Thank you!

Hello, I have been battling a kidney infection with kidney stone for about 2 months due to my reluctance to go get antibiotics. I ended up in the hospital for 2 days with IV antibiotics. Lesson learned. I have just not had no energy and I have listened to a lot of your videos but had not seen this one. Luckily, not long after I said to myself I need an herb to help me get my energy back, I was looking on UA-cam and this video was at the top of my list. So today I went out and started checking my trees to see if I could find it. I did finally find a small amount of the crossvine and boy was I happy. Cause I feel like that poor mule/horse you talked about that was losing its hair and just going downhill. So I'm making tea right now and will try it tomorrow and if it helps me as good as I hope I will find more and make a tincture. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!

Moringa works the same way but within 20 minutes. I love grabbing just 3-5 leaflets & eating them before going to work in the yard & they provide lots of energy through high nutrition content.
A man told me of moringa, saying it made you sleep good at nite, and you wake up feeling like going to work. Since this had never happened to me before, i tried some, and actually woke up in the morning feeling like going to work! Well, you can imagine my consternation as i struggled to dispell the impulse!
Thanks for showing the differences of Crossvine and Jessamine. I have an evergreen vine growing on our place, but wasn't sure if it's crossvine, so I've left it alone. I'll add this to my cold weather explorations.

Ok. Definitely have a few of those Crossvines growing up a very mature White Pine out back. I'd find a beautiful orange + red + yellow flower fallen in the yard, look about 40 ft. up and they're blooming in the pine. I never knew the name or uses for this vine, i will do more research, thank you! 🧡
