Absolutely love your invention, even though it doesn’t work

Haha. Most of my ideas don’t actually become inventions and most of my inventions don’t actually work.

13:00 I can't wait for 2043 when your patent expires! There is a bit of an art to planning and insulating properly, I paid someone $10K to insulate my shop, it was worth every penny. They airsealed all the cracks with caulk and installed a vapor barrier. Obviously my job was much bigger and had 12' ceilings but Free is Free plus you probably did a better job cutting the fiberglass than the pros.

Wow, well that makes me feel a lot better about the time and effort I put into this phase. I’m curious how much I would have spent purchasing the correct size of insulation as well as just hiring the professionals to do the whole thing for me. Oh, and thank you for teaching me about patents too. I didn’t realize they expire. I’ll keep an eye on that and make sure it gets renewed before that happens. Take care.

@@JLWoodArtistries LOL, You can't renew utility patents, you have 20 years to get rich then Mr Cool can start making clones of your "JL Central AC system". Trade secrets like the secret formula for Coke, can last forever but you have to keep it secret and can't make a youtube video of it. When I priced out materials during covid, just fiberglass insulation was ~5K. The $10K I paid included R21 batts in walls and R49 blown in the ceiling plus a bunch of intangibles fire blocking, air sealing etc... showed up with two big box trucks and were done in less than two days, it would have taken me 2 months! Obviously your job was smaller and easier to plan and manage for one guy. I am looking forward to see how your DIY spray foam goes.
