Still, 2020 saw at least 572k more deaths than 2019. The previous 10 years saw only ~41k more deaths year over year on average. You have to go all the way back to the Spanish Flu to see that kind of year over year growth.

Don’t know where you’re getting your facts but violent crime was up 3.3% in 2020 from 2019 and homicide was up 25% in 2020 from 2019
