I had a c-section 11 years ago and a full abdominoplasty 7 days ago. The pain and discomfort are definitely worse with this procedure and I think it's because with the c-section I only had an incision to worry about, so there was no tightness, no stitches in my abs for muscle repair, and no skin removed. Also after the c-section, I was able to sleep in my bed and was able to carry my baby and breastfeed him. A week post-op I was able to go for walks like I did before surgery. This surgery is completely different. I cannot lift anything, I have to sleep on my back with my head and shoulders elevated and with my legs resting on pillows, I have to be careful with what I do so I do not rupture the stitches holding my ab muscles together, my incision stings and the drains were just hell.
For those who want to get it done but can't because prices seem to be a little crazy in the states, I recommend you search for package deals in Turkey. Those package deals often include your stay at a comfortable hotel and prices average around 6K. I got mine done for 4600 Euros. My surgeon and his team are truly amazing.

Where did you sleep better? On the bed or on the recliner?
Its like a c section I remember but it sounds like your abd had alot to do with your back pain like large breast some should have been covered as a medical practitioner provider
