- The organisers of the Paris Olympics have apologised for any offence caused by a skit in the games' opening ceremony that featured drag stars in a parody of Leonardo Da Vinci's famous "The Last Supper" masterpiece.
This similarity drew criticism from Catholic leaders and conservatives such as Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr.

This had absolutely nothing to do with the Last Supper or Christians. It was a depiction of "The Feast of the Gods" by Jan Harmensz van Biljert which is on display in a very popular French museum.

It wasn't a skit. It was a deliberate insult. The Olympic Games should represent the country's population. What percentage of the French population is not straight. Yet the Olympic Games promoted a life style of such a minority as being "normal".
I am Catholic, and that disturbed me, but I thought the entire thing was a failure. So much all going on at once, and during the parade of athletes, who at the least deserve that moment of recognition for their efforts. That is what really perturbed me, the attention taken from the athletes with these side shows. The only thing worthwhile was the woman singing the Marseillaise. How many times do they have to remind the world that they are revolutionaries and fighters for liberty, while rolling over in both world wars and relying on the rest of us.
