Brilliant walk. Really enjoyed that one. I really liked the buzz and atmosphere. The bell sounds were beautiful.

My family lived in Chelsea during WW2 - my grandmother was born there. A very different place then to what it is now!

What a nice part of London! Nice streets and very fine shops (or is it Boutiques!). Clean and appealing surroundings; I could easily live there, even though I'm not a City person - I prefer the smaller towns, but the price range in Chelsea is way out of my reach for me to even consider moving there!
Thanks for sharing this part of London. Always nice to see it from ground level and at a walking pace.

My pleasure Øyvind, I'm pleased you enjoyed it, and I'm amazed at just how many people must be able to afford that kind of price range!

Hey WW! I remember that square with the cool Mcdonalds from your 2020 videos. Made me feel a bit nostalgic. I do not miss the lockdown though LOL

I thought that the buildings were lovely. I especially like the pastels , but they all have so much character. I saw all three logos , but that first one was sneaky. No wonder a lot of people missed it. NANCY

I lived in Bramerton Street in 1962. The Gateways Club was on the corner, and I got a glimpse of the green door, but no plaque for the Lesbian community back then, or further on down on the right hand side the famous Casserole Restaurant with the Gigolo for Gay men beneath, and the creative people of the day would fluctuate between eating and dancing and having fun. Ordinary people could afford flats there. I had a basement flat in Bramerton Street and Christopher Hobbs lived in the same house. We had little money but we lived and loved the place. Now it looks just commercial and frankly ugly in parts that were once ordinary again and not rich. How long before the poor have to show their bank account before they can walk along the King's Road ? A real Antonioni walk and depressing to see.

I hate all that traffic noise. I was expecting a relatively quiet, exclusive residential neighborhood, with some nice shops. In 1979 I traveled throughout Europe with my aunt. Our tour guide, Lily, lived in the Chelsea neighborhood. Maybe it was different in those days -- or maybe you didn't get off the noisy streets.

Joan, I do have other walks featuring more backstreets in Chelsea, this one focused on King's Road, which does have lots of shops and a main road.

This neighborhood looks poor and ordinary it's disappointing that it's the expensive neighborhood of London.
