Hey guys! Been a bit, I was supposed to chug and edit this review and drawing out as soon as I could but yknowww, Life gets in the way whether we like it or not. I am pretty happy with how it turned out tho! Hope you guys enjoy Moku as an Original Character, she's been a notable figure on all my platforms like twitter and Instagram, and it just feels fun sharing her story and maybe a little bit about the world building that surrounds her.
Hehe, and there we also have a little bit of a gander on Bilby's, gosh darnit I love Bilbies so much. Only the real ones know the Wombat story btw, it was a,,,, long long long time ago. An oc story? Well...
I had a character that I created when I was like 10, and she was what got me very excited in art. She was a bat hybrid who lived through the apocalyptic and tried to find others like herself! She was my absolute favorite and I can't remember her name, but she was awesome and I loved her. I still have some old drawings of her in my sketchbooks!

Hmm an oc story you say. Oh boy I have one that's too long lol but let me try to summarize it.
A giant universe. On a peaceful planet Fate is born into a small civilization of intelligent beings. A bunch of time later the planet is attacked by another intelligent species, Fate is kidnapped, a bunch of angst happens and once that is over a deity has taken an interest in them, making them able to communicate with it. The deity uses Fate as a weapon without their knowledge, but the main purpose they want for themselves is being a passive, peaceful messenger between civilizations of different people and planets. The deity makes that difficult of course, but they're trying their best.
And yeah, that's the basic story! I'm currently reworking it a little bit after doing some Worldbuilding.

Bluetooth tablet sounds seriously useful. Also, I love the character! I have never seen a wild bilby before, only depictions of one in Australia during Easter (??)!
I've got a character whose whole thing is that he jumps through different universes for the sake of devouring the strongest beings in that universe to try and sate his constant hunger. He can canonically exist in any of my other characters' lore/worlds, and I created him for the sole purpose of having fun, super casual, not-serious creative breaks. Species-wise I labeled him an eldritch, because really, what other kind of cosmic horror could I slap a title to? He can only travel to worlds where there is a counterweight to his power-any universe where there is a being of equal, lawful strength (versus his chaos) that could defeat him. On the flip side, there are beings that are cosmically lawful, and they're the natural enemy of the eldritch, so more often than not, if he can go to a universe, it's because a lawful cosmic power also traveled there at the same time.
I particularly love this character because he's just so fun. Despite how dark he sounds, he's basically harmless to the actual story plot of the week. He's stupid strong bc that's how crack characters work, but he's always got a lawful cosmic entity that drags him off before he can actually do any damage. Most of the time. Also, he will appear relative to his age in any universe he's in, and since most eldritch are fairly young in eldritch years (due to always hunting each other), he's typically a young kid that really...doesn't actually have much power? So it's just two kids (one cosmically chaotic, the other cosmically lawful) wrestling in the background of the story.
I hope I summarized that well, and that you enjoyed reading it like I enjoyed listening about your own oc!

Another Australian here, it was really interesting to hear you talk about bilbies! I agree, kangaroos and koalas are overrated, bilbies are way cuter than kangaroos and less disease-ridden than koalas.
Anyway, you say you want to hear about OCs, so here's a summary of the three very different stories/worlds I'm at different stages of working on atm!
....actually I just finished typing all that and it's A Lot so I'm going to reply in three or more parts depending on how much youtube hates me. so here's a TLDR first Lmao
TLDR:
Story 1: high school comedy drama about friendship, bullying, popularity, and the pursuit of happiness
Story 2: normal woman who's been gaslit by her carer all her life discovers a world where anyone can use magic except it's under a dictatorship that wants her and many other innocent people dead so she gathers allies and goes on a magical adventure to save all their lives oh and also there's feral demon beasts that work for the government
Story 3: young genderless gods-to-be with various animal features living in the multiverse and training to control their powers constructively so they can one day become fully fledged gods that can each manage a universe of their own

1: "The Meaning Of Popularity" - a note beforehand: I wrote the original version of this story at age 12-13ish (2009-2010), so the characters from it are all very near and dear to my heart, no matter how much I would hate some of them if they were real people. I've been making headcanons and little design changes ever since, which I ended up incorporating into a MASSIVE rewrite in 2021. I rewrote the whole story from scratch, to make things actually make realistic sense, and it ended up being WAY longer due to the extra plot points I fleshed out from their original status of just one line in a "where are they now?" style epilogue. So, the new version of the story itself is a high school comedy/drama about friendship, dating, bullying, popularity, wicked sass, and the pursuit of happiness. There isn't really one main character, yes there are characters with more scenes and lines than others, but generally it follows the lives of all the students interacting with one another. The main group of protagonists are feisty, hot-headed Mel Hamlin; excitable, gossipy demigirl Kim Terrace; chaotic, funny bruh girl Karyn Schofields; and wholesome, optimistic, yet sadly overlooked Freya Kamara. Labelled the "Wannabes", they are the second most popular clique in their year group, and led by Mel's ambition for social climbing and grudge against an old friend, they spend their last year of high school aiming to out-clout the reigning champions "The Roses" for the title of "Coolest Clique" in the yearbook. The Roses: the glamourous, sparkly, secretly insecure HBIC Lahna "the H stands for Hot" Leigh; her loyal "best friend" the dumb rich girl Vivien Asher; the sassy, sharp-tongued, trendy-goth Sarah Wilkes; and the more down-to-earth, open-minded, sporty-chic Kaitlin Everett. They all have popular sports jock boyfriends - respectively: James Goh, the short king who's a little confused but is doing his best; Chad Kensington, the rich, womanising football douche; Chris Yandal, the happy-go-lucky goofball; and Dave David Davidson (yes that's his real canonical full legal name, his parents thought they were funny), the loyal, respectful, mathematically challenged soccer himbo. Other important characters include the lone wolf chaotic evil bully Janice Blair; her boyfriend the Mysterious Bad Boy skater tiktok eboy f--kboy Casper Jones; the anxious, misunderstood, autistic principal's daughter Dana Khan; the perverted, annoying, self-absorbed creep Mike Randall; the hopeless romantic Good Christian White Girl (except without any of the bigotry) Olivia Attman; and the "I'm Not Like Other Girls" judgemental tomboy Stephanie Sohng.

2: "Glory To The Realm" - a whole novel I came up with almost ENTIRELY in an extremely detailed, vivid, and unusually cohesive dream, in 2019 or 2020, not sure which. I spent all day writing the basic framework and all the plot points down in my notes app so I wouldn't forget, then I started writing it up. I'm 9 chapters in atm, and there's a lot more to go. The story follows 18y/o Lainey Hall, an anxious, tired, self-doubt-filled woman who hasn't had a chance to explore her own identity or hobbies due to her overbearing, angry, vindictive, narcissistic, self-righteous, helicopter-parent adoptive mother Rowena Hall. Rowena's never treated Lainey like she's capable of independence, instead, she insists on keeping her in young teens' ballet classes to vicariously beat her rival fellow mother Sharon. Rowena has always told Lainey that the forest behind the mysterious big black gate atop a hill in their neighbourhood contains nothing but danger and the certainty of a brutal gorey death.... So why does she drive right into there with Lainey as a terrified passenger one morning when they're late for ballet? "Calm down, Lainey, you're so pathetic. I know what I'm doing, you don't." The land behind the gate is not a forest containing vicious monsters, but instead, a seemingly normal-looking town that is distorted by magic illusions which can only be navigated safely by someone experienced in the ways of the realm on the other side of the Gated Forest. The Gated Forest is technically a portal, but instead of a singular door, it's a large transitional area guarded by illusions and booby traps that weed out unwelcome visitors. There are multiple exits from the Gated Forest, only one of which leads into the Realm of Magic that's run by a tyrannical government that also owns the magical Gated Forest. In these magical lands, time dilates extremely, which is why Rowena decided the Gated Forest was a perfect shortcut to another exit leading right to their destination in the magicless world. However, the magic government doesn't take too kindly to those untrained in magic, or those who harbour them. So when another driver, who can't see through the illusions, totals Rowena's car, she and Lainey have to get out and run to their exit. However, government officials are onto them, and are sending the magic-wielding equivalent of cops after them, as well as ferocious demon beasts and flying bombs, all while Lainey cannot see whether the ground she's about to step on is real. She must cling to Rowena for survival, but eventually they get separated by a dense circle of ticking explosives. Rowena reveals that in the places where there is magic, any human can fly, so "just jump and meet me at the top of that tree". Lainey has no choice but to do so. What Rowena didn't mention, though, is that flying takes up a MASSIVE amount of the limited amount of magical energy each person is rationed by the government to keep them from getting powerful enough to overthrow them. So Lainey BARELY reaches the tree, in excruciating pain, gasping for air, with a pounding heartbeat, and passes out, with Rowena nowhere to be seen. Lainey wakes up in the back tray of a moving government utility truck, next to two other unconscious young adults. All three now have a magical mark on their left hand that Lainey deduces is the govt's stamp of disapproval for magically untrained intruders destined for execution. So Lainey strugglingly drags the only other prisoner she can lift, and rolls over the side of the truck with her onto the grass. Lainey cries hopelessly, feeling lost and fearful and unsure if anything she's seeing is real or an illusion. But then the prisoner she rescued wakes up. Her name's Izzy, an excited, bubbly 18 year old, also from the magicless world, who's been aware of and enthusiastic about magic since childhood when her now-deceased father started training her to use and understand it via a simulator he built himself. Izzy, despite being marked for TECHNICALLY having no experience in the Realm of Magic, has come equipped with knowledge and skills the Govt doesn't know about, as well as her secret weapon, a heavily modified smartphone that can augment magic with technology to achieve things other magic users can't. Izzy and Lainey become friends, and soon find out there is danger lurking around every corner, in the form of various types of demons that work for the dictators. They also discover the existence of a new type of demon that psychically senses disloyalty and disagreement towards the dictators, and that innocent people who dare to think freely are being hunted down and.... Imprisoned? Executed? Worse? Nobody knows. But Lainey and Izzy quickly gather a group of allies, and plan a perilous journey into the centre of the enormous city, the only place the two newbies can find the magical oil to cleanse themselves of their marks and become legally accepted magic users. AND THAT'S ONLY THE FIRST FOUR CHAPTERS. The group picks up more allies along the way, Lainey learns to wield the magic that this realm grants her, friendships are made and tested, romances blossom, and with the encouragement from her new friends, Lainey learns that she's way more capable than Rowena ever let her believe. Will she even go back home?

3: "We Will Be Gods" - a new story idea I haven't started properly writing yet, that I came up with to bring together a bunch of random storyless OCs and character designs I had lying around. It's set in the Multiverse - the top-level cosmic world where the gods, deities and angels reside, and also contains every universe including our own. The occupants of the Multiverse have a strict hierarchy: elder gods at the top, followed by regular gods and "paragods", followed by the gods-in-training, then the deities (sentient anomalies that have proved themselves worthy of one day becoming gods by surviving long enough to fully form in the Multiverse - essentially baby gods that haven't started their training yet), then lastly the angels (former mortals chosen by the superior gods to ascend from their universe to the Multiverse due to the individual's inherent cosmic potential, their responsible, kind, obedient, skilled, helpful, or other desired nature, or any other reason). Multiverse beings of every class (except angels) are genderless and use various gender-neutral pronouns. Angels have the same gender they identified with when they were mortals, and their role in the Multiverse is as assistants, servants, organisers, and sometimes companions. Most higher-level gods see angels as lesser beings, because they weren't BORN in the Multiverse, therefore, they must not be as powerful or worthy. Also, every god and god-to-be has a unique combination of physical features, including a humanoid body; a whole rainbow spectrum of possible skin colours; any non-zero number of animal, plant, fungi, alien, and/or robot body parts; and body parts somewhat shaped like non-functioning versions of human biosex traits.... that usually don't match up to the same human biosex trait as their other body parts or their voice. And every god and god-in-training has an innate power they specialise in, but the purpose of training is to learn to control it, as well as every other aspect of creating and managing a universe. Anyway, the protagonist is a new god-in-training named Galaxe, a hyperactive, enthusiastic, emotional trainee who is REALLY excited to one day graduate and have xyr own universe to cultivate. Xe has short messy dark purplish-black hair, pale peachy skin, blue irises with triangular green pupils, a somewhat chubby build, wide hips, a very flat chest, and an androgynous voice,, and also xe floats. (It's not uncommon for gods to be able to float/hover, and all angels can fully fly due to being much smaller and lightweight, but Galaxe is just naturally good at floating for unusually long periods of time.) Xyr only non-humanoid features are cow-like ears, horns, legs, and tail, and xyr special power is to do with weather and forces of nature. While the regular gods are each busy cultivating a universe, the equally important "paragods" are those gods who graduated from training but declined the gift of a universe in favour of becoming a professor. The paragods are in charge of training the newbies, using the universe we humans live in as a "practice universe" to hone all their skills. (That's why Earth is so messed up and full of suffering - because it's essentially run by a bunch of trainees.) Galaxe quickly discovers the diverse life on Earth, and finds them all fascinating and exciting, but especially humans and cows - it's like xe's thinking "they're just like me fr!!!!" Galaxe tries to manifest xemself near a farmhand and his cows to strike up a conversation, but to xyr dismay, xyr excitement and untamed weather powers combined cause a massive tornado that starts to sweep destructively across the farmland. Xe starts to panic, only striking up more tornadoes, before being roughly hauled out of the universe by the professor's claw on the back of xyr shirt. "Don't interact with the mortals," the professor snaps coldly, "that isn't your station." But Galaxe is determined to learn how to control xyr powers so xe can meet the fascinating creatures again. Meanwhile, xe makes friends with some of xyr classmates, including the void-eyed, dog-eared, brown-skinned, blue-and-white-haired, armour-clad, skate-footed Lyxxis, and the cyan-skinned, ombre-haired, deer-antlered, jewel-faced, steampunk-dress-wearing Corgara. Corgara gets bullied by some other trainees and extremely belittled by the superior gods, because she identifies as female despite most of the superior gods' narcissistic beliefs that "only angels and mortals can have gender". Her friends stand up for her though. Meanwhile, the elder gods were the first gods to ever exist. They built the Multiverse, sowing the cosmic seeds for new gods to appear, and they maintain and manage it together. However, before the existence of the Multiverse, there was only the Void, and the elder god of the Void. Nobody quite knows whether that god created the Void, was born with it, or just ~is~ the Void. But it is the true elder god, the eldest of them all. Every other god, no matter their rank, respects and fears it.... but mostly fears it. They leave it alone, hoping it will leave them alone in return. Because this true elder god occasionally manifests in various universes and the Multiverse itself as black holes, sucking in light and matter, stealing their resources.... for what purpose?? Young deities are told horror stories about the god of the Void - that it's a force of pure chaos and evil that always hungers for more matter and won't stop until it consumes the entire Multiverse and its contents! And the only way to fight back is for every resident to diligently play their role - elder gods upholding and repairing the fabric of the Multiverse, allowing new deities to form; universe gods creating life that fuels the creation of new resources in the Multiverse; paragods training the students to be able to do the same thing; gods-in-training studying and working hard and obeying the rules; deities meditating until they develop their special power; and angels assisting with menial tasks that often involve flying. As you can see, everyone does their part to keep the Multiverse alive, trying to build it up faster than the elder god of the Void can take it down. However.... the Void God is not what it seems. It has existed alone, dark, cold, and bored since before the beginning of time. For aeons, it wished for friends, and something to see and feel and do. It passed its time by meditating, trying to avoid the crushing thoughts of being alone forever. Eventually, its wish came true. Several beings appeared - more dazzlingly bright and colourful than anything the Void God could have imagined. They were beautiful. The Void God floated towards them, extending its hand that it could finally distinguish from its surroundings, the four-digited pitch black hand now ever so slightly illuminated in the pale light of the new gods. It finally reached its new friends - but something was wrong. Bits and pieces of light were falling off each of them and landing on the Void God. They looked at it in horror, making eye contact with its newly opened bright white circular eyes. They felt themselves physically gravitating towards it, losing more and more pieces of themselves, until they all joined hands and fled far away before their bodies could crumble to stardust. The Void God, heartbroken, stared down at its bare arms, which were still covered in fragments of light. So many different beautiful colours. As it lovingly stroked the cosmic debris, it realised it had hurt them, scared them, and driven them away. And with this realisation, it began to silently sob. It knew that even if more beings appeared, they could still never get close to it without getting hurt, because that's just what the Void does, it inhales all matter and light whether it wants to or not. And as the Void God cried and begged for its purpose to be changed, begging and crying to some type of supergod that it didn't even believe in, the fragments of colour stuck on its body began to fade away. Eventually, all was dark once more, and the Void God felt nothing but emptiness.... until it discovered the Multiverse slowly expanding in the distance. That's why it sneaks in sometimes, to steal a little bit of light and colour from non-sentient matter.... it returns to the Void with its haul, sorts the fragments into floating piles of each colour.... and fashions itself multi-coloured clothing, accessories, and hair dye.... it knows these won't last very long, but they're enough to just make itself feel something other than empty depression for a while. It realises its favourite three colours are red, green and blue.... it's not sure why, but it feels like these three colours have good potential for entertainment. As the Void God bittersweetly admires its new look, it finally gives itself a name: RGB. Then it settles into the unknowably long eternity.
