This piece was really tough to recreate, but I think I did it justice in the end. It gets a little messy during the climax at the end, but I think the wall of sounds is still enjoyable and worth sharing with you all! Thank you so much for listening and have a good day!

0:14 sounds so good!!! It’s must’ve been a challenge to mimic the erhu’s sound
The erhu in the song goes unbelievably hard, and Loeder really nailed it

My problem is that this is too good sounding for 8 bit. They got the vibrato down in such a way that I don’t think that 8 bit can actually process. It’s fluid and not “pixelated” if that makes sense. Otherwise, this is still a certified banger.
As someone who started watching your covers back when BotW first dropped, I can't tell you how eagerly I've been awaiting to hear what you whipped up for Tears of the Kingdom. Can't wait to hear what else you make!

The backwards sounding stuff at the end was awesome. Never heard that in Famitracker before.
In both this and the original, 1:06 NEVER fails to give me goosebumps. Beyond stoked for this game

AH FR HOW DID I NECER NOTICE THAT. It’s almost like learning the Ballad of the Goddess is just Zelda’s lullaby backwards. These composers never cease to amaze with how many little nods they can fit into their tracks

@@mihaelhvan2010 when they were coming up with ideas before they had an engine, they put them in a 2-D demo that looked a lot like Zelda 1

Still remember the first time I played Tears of the Kingdom back in 1987, a true classic
by far my favourite 8bit rendition of the theme
This isn’t 8 bit, it just uses 8 bit instruments. This is still an AWESOME cover though! Great job!

According to the description, this is made in Famitracker, which emulates real NES hardware. The reason there are more channels than on the NES is that the Konami VRC6 expansion chip is used, which was for example used in the Japanese version of Castlevania III. So yes, it's 8-bit for real.

Okay, I just want to mention that this man accounted for the long notes by alternating between different keys perfectly matching how a note would wobble a little bit as someone tried to hold it on their instrument. I have NEVER seen anyone do that before, and it's insane. What. The. Fuck.
