I am a native english speaker, and I am reminded of the beauty of linguistics in these videos. And specifically how Latin is intimately connected to spanish, italian and a few other languages. That is the bridge in some ways.
Transparent. Synonym: Clear Spanish/Latin: Claritas (Clarity, Brightness) (Latin)Luminos: the lights Et cetera (and the rest) I hope this transparent comment can shed light upon the luminous beauty of language.
There is no end of learning. It's definitely a divine abundance and direct blessing to embrace you as a teacher. It's rare to find such great mentor like you these days. I will be at your debts forever. Countless thanks for your invaluable lessons beyond time and space. All the best sir.
Harry! I find your UA-cam channel helpful even as a native English speaking American!! We can be lazy when we speak. I’m going to check out your advanced classes. Please do a lesson on the abhorrent use of less when only fewer is appropriate! ❤
I’m a non native English teacher but I truly enjoyed watching your teaching in this video which reminded me of the word used for describing teaching as “Vocation” or “call” for sth!❤
You fill a gap that is sorely needed. I’m a native English speaker, and the rundown was surprisingly helpful. Just a note: It might be good to mention that there are other synonyms for very- words, e.g., egregious for very bad.
I am very excited to learn English with you. My English gets better and improved day by day. I cannot imagine if you become the English teacher for us who learn English as a foreign language. Thanks Prof.
Your lexture about not using "very" in conversations was very useful, you're very good teacher, and your class was very efficient so one can use it from that very moment onwards very easily. Thank you very much for your very interesting lectures :)
Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback! I'm really glad to hear that you found the lecture helpful and that you feel you can use the information in your conversations. Thanks again for your support!
American copywriter here. Just found you after looking to get pronunciations of beautiful Irish names. Subscribed. I can stand to learn a lot from you, thank you!
My most profound gratitude is conveyed to Mentor Harry for an enriching input on the use of appropriate adjective instead of using "very". There's a better way of saying it! Mucha gracias!❤
You are a great inspiration to keep practicing and improve my English. Thanks for the practical advice. Visiting London for work. I’d definitely enjoy a good chat with you in person. Happy Sunday! Brent.
Really interesting difference between really and very, in this context. This channel is mine gold: I cannot thank you enough for teaching all these nuances in meaning.
Great lesson! I'm from USA, I never knew we mustn't say "very exhausting." I been saying it wrong my whole life! And the other wrong phrases, I use them all. But no more, I gonna step it up to a higher level. Thanks for the inspiration😊😊😊
Wauuu!!! Thank you Harry for improving our English vocabulary! I AM FROM Argentina. Your videos help me a lot! Thank you for investing your time teaching us!!! I really appreciate it!!! I subscribed to your channel! ;) Hugs!!! Regards!❤
Fellow teacher here. In the US (at least in my region), we don't seem to have the same rules with really and very. At least, all of your examples of when one is incorrect are used frequently. I admit the ones you indicate to be correct sound a tad better.
Dear Harry. I am very grateful to you. That I have opportunity to learn English language from you. As foreigner. Because I am Indonesian. Thank you very much indeed. God Bless you. ❤
Your lessons are compelling and your manners are transparent. You are one of the best English teachers on UA-cam
Thank you! 😃

I have a TESOL endoresement and English is my native language. I'm not a fan of the EXTREMELY overused and sensationalistic "stop saying"hook.
