Hi Harry Thanks a lot for a very educational video as always. Could you possibly make a video describing the difference between a nerd, a geek and a freak? Thanks
A freak is someone who may have been born with a physical deformity. There was a 19th century American showman named P.T. Barnum, he was very famous. He had a freak show of the deformed people. When he wanted 2 hire these people 4 his show, this how they responded. No, people will stare and laugh at me. Barnum responded by saying they R doing that 2U right now. So U might as well get paid 4 it. Then these people would work 4 Barnum. Another freak is someone who acts and dresses in a weird way. Back in the 1960s, a pro wrestler named Freddie Blassie, would call his opponents pencil neck geeks, as an insult. A nerd was the original term 4 someone who was excessively taken over by technology and technical things. Back in the mid 1980s there was a comedy movie called Revenge of the nerds. Watch it, you'll get a good laugh. Also, nerds had a reputation 4 being very smart. The term geek means the same as nerd. These are American meanings. Hope this helps.😊
Thanks It was wonderful and knowledgeable times on your marvelous episodes. On reflection , may I ask you why do you make "peace" strange? its the main greeting and valediction way had been advised by all prophets. it means «for everyone to be fine, gentle, kindness, lovely » ❤❤❤❤
Harry always provides with utmost useful stuff , elaborating with understandable examples. His pronunciation is perfect and very pleasant for my hearing)
I can't thank you enough for your lessons, our Teacher! Not, I really appreciate it! Thank you a lot. See you later in UA-cam. Take care. Peace out! Goodbye!
I learned that from the Communards, dear Harry. “...No never can say goodbye boy, ooh No, no I never can say goodbye No no no, no no no, no no no ooh, ooh...” 🙃
Hello ,firstly l would like to say l fan your page and really helpful but l have my question l can understand these video really clear %90 but l can't speak so fluently what's my level ? What's my minus to like good speak? Im glad to u answer ❤
Born and raised in California - 1. We still use “peace” or “peace out” in an informal way. It’s not uncommon to hear. 2. Not many people say “later, dude” (mostly kids and teens among their friends). I think it was a popular thing in the 1990s, but it’s way more common to just say “later.” Also, men will often say, “later, man,” to other men. 3. If it’s a conversation over the phone and not in person, we’ll usually say, “talk to you later” unless we have plans to meet up and see each other in person soon. They get used interchangeably with “see ya” and “see you later.”
Hello Harry, I like your videos very much. When I watched one of your videos I left a question in the comments below but you didn’t get back and comment on my question. In this video you were explaining an idiom “in the nick of time “.My question was : Why did you say “when we arrive in the airport” instead of at ? I would appreciate it if you answered my question. Thank you . By the way, I am watching you from France, Normandy 😊
Thank you very much Harry! I had to think about that as strange "Peace" seems in english, it seems way more normal for Hebrews : "Shalom!" or for Arabian guys: "Salaam Aleikum!". Nice ♥ Isn´t it?
I don't think to be extracted your tooth. Sir the above given sentence is correct or wrong? Please tell sir. I am already in your debt being solved my lot of problem by you for the years since i have been learning English language. You are so kind teacher solves all your students.🌹🥀🌹🌹

Hi harry pk do a video on online meetings phrases
I have it already. Please check it out
Should use all of those all just some of them?
For example, I can use catch up soon/later instead of back later or back in a while.
I learned that from the Communards, dear Harry.
“...No never can say goodbye boy, ooh
No, no I never can say goodbye
No no no, no no no, no no no ooh, ooh...”
🙃

“ta ta” is a casual way to say goodbye, often used in a playful or informal context
