Dizzy played our jazz festival in Cincinnati 1972 the band was incredible. He signed autographs all afternoon and was a god givin sweetheart.
This has to be the FIRST drum solo where a drummer attempts to play the melody of the song he is coming out of. I never knew how great Charle was. And I never knew how bad I am. A great lesson in taste here....

I love the way he plays out of tempo then roars back in. One great drummer never recognized as such.
