Oh, by the way, they did in fact record other tunes on that date: On the Sunny Side of the Street, After Hours, and I Know that You Know. The album is called Sonny Side Up. It was recorded in December 1957 and released in January 1959. Legend has it that Dizzy called up Stitt and told him that he would be the only tenor player on the date; then he said the same thing when he called up Rollins.
My friend and professional drummer Cedric J. loved this cut! We'd be listening to it and when Charlie played one of his quick fills, he'd yell out "Charlie Persip IS THE MAN!"
"The power of the music...the music will set you free." Rest in peace. great musician and great man.

This is amazing! Also, I bought the book a few years ago. Every drummer and others should buy it!
Charlie is more than a superb player. He's a perfect gentleman.
Ye. I believe it too! ...and He has humour sense too
exactly, actually stitt's solo begins at the same point where Rolling leaves it, after 5 chorus or so, I had to listen to that few times
Stitt and Rollins were so cohesive, you have to listen carefully to tell who's playin'!
I would give anything to be in the studio with them as they played Eternal Triangle
I firmly believe this tune has the baddest sax playing ever
