I think that the issue with the SCP approach is that even in the broken masquerade or even IRL. Governments tell people what they NEED to know, not all the info they have even if not super relevant. I love this concept of using EAS as a form of storytelling! It's such a fun and interesting concept. It may not necessarily be new, but it does a perfect job of creating a sense of unease! I also love the idea of creating fictional scenarios for these EAS broadcasts. I'd like to see a take on a perpetual winter, where we enter an endless snow storm that forces us to adapt to the elements. Keep up the fantastic work! These are very well made!
Wow, i really don't know what to say. This was absolutely amazing, there's so much potential for lore and stories in just 2 videos. One question, in the original the EAS told everyone with qualifications to move to New Zealand, as there were millions of new acres (hectares?) of land available, yet in this one everyone has to leave and go back to Australia? I don't mind it, just a little inconsistency. I really appreciate the work you are doing, and am hoping on a part 3. Keep up the good work!
At the end there's a statement that new Zealand fell into anarchy so everyone had to go back to Australia. Also it's been years since the last video so alot of stuff could've changed
This is a great concept, and the animation and graphics are really top quality, the only thing I'd say is I often notice discrepancies in the tone, grammar and usage of the dialogue and text which break the suspension of disbelief for me quite a bit. First and foremost, EAS alerts are designed to impart information in a concise, consistent and calm manner. A lot of the details included in this and other videos of yours seem like information that realistically would not be shared with the general populace or even if known, are phrased in a way that would actually cause more panic. Getting this nailed would be great. Also, thinking a bit more carefully about phrasing; "lethal incarceration" is redundant. How can incarceration be lethal? If it's lethal, and you're just killing people, why incarcerate them? Other than my pedantic gripes, great video and great channel. Keep it up, I always really enjoy these videos.
Yes, I feel like some of the more overt authoritarian statements, like incarceration, in the case of whatever crisis this may be are just a little bit too unbelievable. And it seems a bit impractical that this is the form of continental governance which takes hold. But yes, interesting nonetheless as an Australian (luckily we have a better government now who don't refuse to give emergency assistance in the floods we had across the east coast like the last climate-denying one).
I think the reason the alerts give way more detail than necessary is to help with the storytelling aspect. It simply wouldn't be as entertaining to watch if the alerts were always "There is an emergency. Please remain calm and follow these steps" or, "There is a war. Please report to your local military office to enlist". While I do agree that the writing itself needs some grammar corrections and general polishing to sound more "official", the story is what's important and definitely benefits from more detail.
Awesome use of the lines. A lot of EAS scenario vids don’t even HAVE lines so the fact that you animate them and use them in different ways to highlight certain things is cool

I’m a bit confused. It tells you to report to locations via radio or tv signal. How are these signals still up? Is it land or elevated buildings? Is it on a boat? How are the tv signals being sent out and received?
TV used to be broadcast through radio signals, so if any of the towers are inland then they could be broadcast that way. However, TV is digital now, so if this happened in 2022 there would probably only be radio audio signals sent out, since many people would not have a TV that can catch analog signals. (I know this is the case in the USA, Australians can correct me if I'm wrong)

@Alert World Cool vid, but a few questions: What are citizen passes? Like are level 0 passes for refugees? Also what about government employees and there clearance levels? (5:21) What do grades A B and C mean? How many zones are there? Sense the alert at 4:50 shows that there are at least 225 zones; are there some territories outside of australia that might have survived the flooding?
I've gone over this a couple of times in my head and I had an idea. The United States has 11 nuclear aircraft carriers, and around 68 submarines, not to mention the rest of their battle groups. The US could, in theory, be a nation of military ships. The president could have been evacuated to a carrier and governed from there. Because their nuclear reactors don't need to be refueled for a very long time and many can produce their own freshwater, the only problem would be food. My idea is that 5 out of the 11 carriers are turned into floating agricultural land. all the aircraft are removed from the hander bays and all ordinances are cleared from lower decks to make room for plants and greenhouses. The New United States could and likely would try and secure parts for their ships by salvaging old underwater cities for parts using submersible vehicles. Eventually, this would likely bring conflict to the Confederated Australian Territory. It also is interesting as The New United states would be able to explore other parts of the world. Places like the remaining survivors in the small islands that were once the Rocky mountain, extremophiles in the Himalayas, and coastlines of the Andies. I think it could be cool.
funny enough, a few months ago, we had a bad flood in Queensland. But luckily it went away in a week and everything went to normal, but many things were damaged as well as some people were injured. Stay safe y’all.
I'm not an SCP guy, but you show true quality on those scenarios. Now, when you get originally creative, it's when you really shine! Both this two parts show the true nature of humans and how nature is "programmed". Survival of the fittest. You're sick, you're out. The fact that the new government is trading medicine for food rations, without caring that the people who might have them, need them too, it's... And then come along the ocean people. Of course they don't want to dialogue. They know how the new government is! Probably they're already imploding themselves and have "infiltrated" people inside the new Australia. Besides, after one year, where the hell have they been and how they survived? Where ever they were, must have run out of resources and they can't stay in the ocean. What's bugging me out, is the fact that rained for that long. How the f**k did that happen?? Scientifically, I mean? How is the water evaporating so fast and accumulating so fast and dropping at such rate, in that viscous cycle, intrigues me so much! This is one of the most brutal apocalyptic EAS scenarios I've ever watched!!! My question now is, how come PEOPLE behind UA-cam don't scrutinize the choices of the algorithm, to make sure channels aren't unfairly demonetized?? What in the world is going on with UA-cam lately?? If it was a person, they can see it's your style. By the logic of the algorithm, we'll stop making horror movies because they all have people screaming, running from killers, or whatever? Action movies, because they all have car chases and shootings?? That doesn't make sense!!! An algorithm that is developed by people... I hope you can turn this around, because UA-cam's the algorithm right now, is destroying a lot of peoples lives...
Hello Alert World! Am i allowed to use this framework specifically to write a story? What i'm asking is- Are you claiming creative license on this, or will you allow regular folks to adapt these events into their own works? Thank you
@@CosmicFearUkulele A flotilla of disparate groups taking their fate into their own hands in the face of extinction, versus a government that uses the phrase "lethally incarcerated" and has apparently stayed in totalitarian mode. Everyone involved is presumably driven near madness by famine, and we know going in that a lot of situations could fit a vague unreliable EAS. Though there's no ideal answer, at least with the flotilla I'm not worried about being detained for an evaluation that may never come or starving during legal processing in Zealandia.
@@Curry-tan- maybe but the government went totalitarian because most of its former government died and they needed to rebuild fast. I don’t like totalitarian regimes but I can understand(to an extent) on why they are formed. And in this case, it is justifiable. The population usually outnumbers both armed servicemen and law enforcement so order would be delicate. But refugees would throw everything in chaos as the confederation does not have enough resources for both its own and any large number of refugees. That would cause chaos and would require armed servicemen and law enforcement to attempt to keep them in line, which could throw their own people in chaos, making the situation damn near impossible to solve. Would I shoot them, only in self defense and that’s when all peaceful alternatives are exhausted. If they won’t leave, then I’d just give them land and to tell them to stay there or else.
If all the ice on the planet melted, the sea level would only rise by 230 feet, so if people plan things right, humanity would 100% continue to survive. If the mountain ranges go underwater(which is what the video states), everything should be underwater, which would mean nobody is surviving. But under realistic circumstances, humanity would thrive in the mountains, but remain farming communities unless we created the tech to freeze large amounts of water to lower the sea level.

More reasons humanity needs earth 2 electric boogaloo
well thats one way to make a new Dystopian book
funny enough, a few months ago, we had a bad flood in Queensland. But luckily it went away in a week and everything went to normal, but many things were damaged as well as some people were injured. Stay safe y’all.
I'm surprised the U.S naval fleet disappeared. Wonder where our aircraft carriers and subs are now?
Why cant they just get buckets of the water and let an astronaut throw it someone in space
you should collab with the Atlas Fallout Foundation, you guys have similar styles.

NCATG: You will now be taken to specialized governmental detainment center for evaluation.
6:32 a refugee crisis in a post apocalyptic world?
Also were they just hauling ammunition around for years at sea?
NICE A NEW PART LEST GO
You Should send this to governments everywhere so in case it does happen they will do emergency broadcast
i cant tell if this is a joke or not
This is almost exactly what happened in the splatoon universe 😅😂
This makes me feel scared cos I live in Australia but it the flood stated in 2044 and I would be in my 40s so I think it would be fine
Let"s go yeah keep the good content
You are soooooooooo underrated
Can’t wait to see a part3 if u chose to make it that is😎
Just the feel of a old tv with the curve on the bottom and top of the screen is so creepy
Do you know Atlas Fallout Foundation? If so, PLEASE DO A COLLAB WITH HIM
Hello Alert World! Am i allowed to use this framework specifically to write a story? What i'm asking is- Are you claiming creative license on this, or will you allow regular folks to adapt these events into their own works? Thank you
Oh could you please make a scenario based off the movie Moonfall? It would be awesome! Anyways keep up the great work!
The unified invading fleet seem less cruel than these confederates. Dark.
How so
@@CosmicFearUkulele A flotilla of disparate groups taking their fate into their own hands in the face of extinction, versus a government that uses the phrase "lethally incarcerated" and has apparently stayed in totalitarian mode.
If they won’t leave, then I’d just give them land and to tell them to stay there or else.
nice job man keep em comin'
This is great dude
Boy voice:
Ok just gotta leave asap before it fully flood-
OH SH*T
* DEAD
Would it be possible to survive this if you are on the Appalachian mountain range or on a deep sea nuclear powered cargo ship?
If all the ice on the planet melted, the sea level would only rise by 230 feet, so if people plan things right, humanity would 100% continue to survive. If the mountain ranges go underwater(which is what the video states), everything should be underwater, which would mean nobody is surviving.
But under realistic circumstances, humanity would thrive in the mountains, but remain farming communities unless we created the tech to freeze large amounts of water to lower the sea level.
