When cooking shows were actually about the food and techniques and NOT a game show.
i refuse to watch the food network because every show is a contest. i dont care who wins. when i watch a cooking show, i want to LEARN something about cooking.
Don’t forget the envy game. “This is my $50,000 solid gold saucepan and you must have wanted to do this recipe.”
❤❤❤ 😊 so that😊😊😊
Exactly! The only cooking shows worth watching are on public television, my favorites are America's Test Kitchen, Cook's Country, and there are a few other good ones.
You have a very valid point. Nowadays, is about the game.
I love this bit: "Just look at that elegant shape. There's sort of a careless chic about it as if it were caught in the middle of a dance pose." Julia Child, waxing poetic about a poached egg.
My grandparents operated a poultry farm. An inspector came periodically to look at what the poultry were fed, the water they drank, their inoculation schedules, how the eggs were sized for sale, and the time lapse between collection and market. They earned their AA classification.
Yes to you and your family ❤😊❤
Auntie Julia says " always vinegar your water dear " ❤
I love that her techniques will always be a reliable source!!
Only Julia would write to the governor to complain about subpar eggs, fully expecting legislation to ensue forthwith.
😅This is a great comment, "ensue Forthwith". The verbiage matched the era of this cooking show.
I have watched lots of videos over the years how how to make a perfectly poached egg. This by far is the best way.
“Wawawawa-Five!” Pretending 5 seconds have passed!🤣
Eggs Benedict taken to another level. Wow. Never heard of this, but now I wanna try to make it. Yum.
Aid the leg...oh Julia 😂
I just live the beautiful natural speed of her shows. 😊❤😊
Ive always broken my eggs into a ramekin or wee dish and then dumped them in.
I've never added the vinegar, that's just how my Grammie taught me and we've always had chickens so the eggs are fresh.
Her showing the spatula bit to push any stray whites in is completely class.😊❤😊
I love that egg caddy.
Julia made all this look so easy. Loved watching her more as I matured.
Wow I've never seen a recipe like that before. Cannot wait to make this.
I love to see her prepare and cook these eggs.
The omelette episode is delightful as well.
I've always loved to watch Julia ❤ the food was so different looking and tasted better too❤
I totally want to do that soufflé topping for the poached eggs
So very much me as well!!!!😊❤😊
I still can't get over how tall she was. You can't tell by her custom kitchen but when she walks into the dining room, her knees are almost to the tabletop.
So great because I
Always get the white flaking apart and I have to chase it with a slotted spoon…
I think it’s cause I added salt to
The water? Also I went by
Gordon ramsays tutorial
Who
Said to spin the water. Nevermind. Going Julia style FOREVER!!!! 💜
The poor egg that became “that nasty, disgraceful one!”
Exercise by egg white whipping 🥚🥊
As much as I DEARLY Love this woman and her incredible recipes.. there's NO WAY I'd ever eat a runny egg.. NO THANKS!
Tastes differ, I suppose. The runny yolks sound delicious to me.
Runny eggs? Why there is no such thing. But eggs do come with their very own Sauce as long as you don't over cook them. Soooo yummy. 🐔🥚🍳😋
I would eat them no other way
thats why god made chocolate and vanilla. what one person doesnt like, another person does.
