You have a beautiful collection!! I don’t know which one is better than the other. The #611 is stunning I have to say. Incredible engine, but all of your engines are incredible. Great Stuff!! Tom
Those look like Glen Snyder displays and I just picked some up a few months ago. They still make them and shipping was quick. Those shelves feel super secure. Also thank you for the B&M 2074 review you did a while back as it helped me decide to get one myself; didn't have an Atlantic and I enjoy that engine!
@Craiggg12345 Agreed, I was alittle hesitant at first but his reputation is legendary, his prices were solid, and he got them shipped and delivered fast. I even looking to buy more!
So I thought I had a favorite until I saw the next train and then the next. 😄 And I've always admired your collection being an old Boston boy now residing in Maine. I just viewed engines in the collection I didn't realize you owned. However...my favorite is the 765. There's something magical about her appearance...simply put. Thanks for the great film and sharing your hobby. p.s. Glen Snyder Display systems are still available and well worth the price.👍👍👍
Great collection the 611 is definitely one of my bucket list engines ever since I rode in the cab a few years ago the Norfolk & Western 1238 is definitely my favorite as well and I hope you have those shelves securely screwed to the wall😂👍
VERY impressive collection! Stunning actually! You know, I can't help but think the Triplex is going to be a LOT more succesful for Lionel than the real one was for Baldwin! It's just a wonderfully wacky piece of machinery! My favorites? Hard to say, there's nothing to dislike about any steam engine BUT I'd have to say having ridden behind both during the N-S Steam Program in the 1990s I'd have to say my favorites are the N&W Class A and Class J. Just magnificent engines! Thanks for posting! Oh, one last thing. I believe those extruded aluminum display shelves are still being made. I don't remember the manufacturer but I've seen them advertised in "Classic Toy Trains" and "O Gauge Railroading" magazines.
Cool! That is an impressive collection of steam locomotives. I like the Class A the best, although the New Haven and the UP 4-12-2, are up there. I was thinking that you would choose the Triplex, as it is just a cool locomotive and has the three sets of drivers, providing plenty of action.. The smoke from the front and rear engines is pretty neat, too. An excellent video, as always.
Nice Collection. Lots of Steam. We have 82 O Scale Engines in total. I'm glad I bought them when I did. Now Lionel asking $650 for an 0-4-0. That's Outrageous. I feel Sorry for alot of People just getting into our Hobby. With what we have I don't need much more.
Great collection but I also have to agree with you that my favorite there is that Norfolk and Western Class A I also have that same exact model of the 1238 and I love it so much I have a hard time ever taking it off my layout
THAT IS AN AWESOME COLLECTION!! I HAVE A FEW OF THOSE, 4014 BB OIL BURNER, CLASS A 1200 PROTOTYPE, ARMY TRIPLEX 1949, HYBRID CHALLENGER 3834, 2 FEF-3s BLACK 844, 836, SANTA FE BLUE GOOSE 2900, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE C&O GREENBRIER 613. MY FAVE IS THE ARMY TRIPLEX 1949. I FORGOT ABOUT THE ENTENNMAN"S MIKADO AND 28 OTHER DIESEL ENGINES. 🙂 IT TOOK ME ALMOST 2 YEARS TO COLLECT THEM. 😂😂🤣🤣
First I'd like to congratulate you that is a very nice collection, unfortunately they all have motherboards and electronics in them, the problem with these new engines they will not last after so many times of running they become shelf Queens, unless you want to spend thousands of dollars to keep them all running correctly, I have quite a few new ones and little by little they all start to take a crap, my post-war and pre-war collections last forever with minimal servicing, I don't think electronics will ever last that long, so when mine became shelf Queens it was just too much money to be spent on them again, and it's a shame because they really are beautiful.
Love that 4-12-2, I need to get it back in the collection. The Berkshire wasn't something I was sold on but it's a must for many Steam fans so might get it in the future. Triplex will be added soon to my collection, have 4014 and a FEF-3 Hot Dog that is awesome, plan to get a Challenger Hot Dog some day, sold my VL Challenger because too many black engines and I like contrast and patiently waiting for my F19 Pacific grey boiler.
Glen Snyder Displays out of Buffalo NY makes them. I purchased them they look fantastic and are reasonable. Glenn Snyder Display Systems Miniatures store in Buffalo, New York
