You’ve quickly become one of my favourite beauty YTbers. I love that you use MAC primarily and use the same products. It shows viewers that makeup and the artistry you display is a great deal of creativity . You use tried and true products and are not selling us items. This is the makeup I started watching years ago and I love that I’ve found it again. Please keep doing what you’re doing, it’s fun, educational, inspiring and slice of life💛 and I love your use of colour!
You are so sweet and I appreciate your feedback! I got caught up in the influencer culture and I was getting so overwhelmed. Makeup wasn't fun anymore and it was more about buying than using. I am so happy to have a community here that loves makeup just as much as I do :)
@ you don’t have to anything. We on the other side have the ability to adjust the volume if needed. Keep on doing what you’re doing! I think that people are so used to everything being so loud. It’s actually quite hard to find places/ spaces that’s quiet and calm, so thank you for providing me/us with one. 💕
Omg I love Gone with the wind. I used to watch that with my grandma! You’ve gotten me wanting to watch these older movies. Keep giving us your play list, I’m going to follow your suggestions. The first movie sounded interesting. I figured you were being quiet because of your family sleeping. I know you had talked about getting up early that you liked that. I know there’s times that it’s just you and your youngest home so you needed to be quiet. It’s not a big deal to me. Sorry it’s harder for others. I have to wear my eye buds because of my husband. I’m up @ 3am every day so I try to be quiet so he can sleep til 5am. So I get it. I have to change my makeup basket every other week otherwise I get bored. Sometimes I do it weekly it just depends on what I’m feeling. If I get something new then I keep it longer! Which for me I’m always getting something new weekly. I’m working on slowing down on my spending. It’s just getting out of hand. I’m good with not purchasing a lot of liquids, I don’t want them to go bad on me especially since everything is so expensive and I’m spending my hard earned cash. Girl you always look beautiful. Sending hugs~
I watch it over and over again and it is just as exciting each time :) I will keep letting y'all know what I am watching and we can discuss our thoughts :) Not buying makeup can be difficult, but it makes makeup so much more fun when you can creative with what you already have!
I’m pretty young but I remember growing up watching the King and I. It is more of a musical film tho but you reminded me of when I was little watching this one, sound of music, and Oklahoma lol. This look is so pretty and your voice is so soft and relaxing so dw too much about it!
I’m naturally a loud speaker (German mother/Scottish father🤷♀️) and my voice carries even when I’m trying to be a bit quieter. I’ve had people say to me “why are you yelling at me?”😂 when I was literally just talking normal!! I love that you’re such a soft speaker… I can hear everything you’re saying, so don’t change a thing!! ❤❤
I'm into astrology and I'm convinced that my soft voice is due to me being a Taurus Rising and most of my planets are in Venus placements. When people visit my home they always mention how quiet it is despite having a 12 year old and 17 year old at home. When the kiddos are at school it's even quieter.
An amazing older movie (1957) is “Three Faces of Eve” with Joanne Woodward. It is a mystery/thriller and one of, if not the first movie to really look at mental illness. Joanne Woodward won the academy award as Best Actress for this role and it is one of my all-time favorites!!
Alexa has got me interested in watching these old movies! I’ll have to put these in my playlist. Thank you. The only one I’ve ever watched is Gone with the wind. I love that movie. I used to watch it often with my grandma.
@pennylynn1998 you are most welcome! The acting in the classic movies is on another level! It's SO much better than present day IMO. I'll list some more classics I've seen the next time she talks about new finds. ENJOY!! Wuthering Heights is a must-see!
For the 40s/50s movies watch "Gilda" with Rita Hayworth; "Duel in the Sun" with Jenifer Jones and Gregory Peck; "The Barefoot Contessa" with the subliime Ava Gardner; "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" with the sublime Elizabeth Taylor and the sublime Paul Newman😃
Voyager with Bette Davis is a great movie. Have you thought about using an external microphone to help with the sound. As always the makeup look is beautiful.
Thank you for the recommendation! And yes, I used to have an amazing external microphone, but it was such a pain to set up and I don't have the large space (and time) I used to.
I've just discovered the Vieve, line. How do you like it? I love the skin nova, and it works great with my Mac products beautifully. The blush balm is so nice too, but it needs a lil glow play blush as a topper . What do you think? 😁👍🏼oh, yeah . I got the studio powder foundation inNC35. Perfect , I mean perfect match to my skin. I use it to set the center of my face and add any additional coverage. It's stunning. Thank you thank you!🙏🏼💕👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💋🩷
I was just thinking about that the other day...it has grown out so much and I really love my bob, but I'm not sure. I like being able to pull it back for kickboxing and having it a little longer makes it easier. Thank you for the movie recommendations!
Hey Alexa, you must watch How To Marry A Millionaire (with Marilyn Monroe), The Philadelphia Story (with Cary Grant) and of course Breakfast at Tiffany's (with Audrey Hepburn). I think you would love the show Mad Men as well.
Thank you for all of these recommendations! I've had Philadelphia Story on my list for a while. Breakfast at Tiffany's is a classic and I need to watch Mad Men again! I watched it so many years ago and it was so good. I loved all of the hair and clothes and makeup :)
I've just discovered the VIEVE, line. How do you like it? I love the skin nova, and it works great with my Mac products beautifully. The blush balm is so nice too, but it needs a lil glow play blush as a topper . What do you think? 😁👍🏼I think , 'on golden pond' I such great movie. Not too old. Maybe the 70s. What about Harry? Great. Maybe the 90s. But ILOVE the old colorized old movies the most, especially musicals.

I have the hearing of a cat. I can literally hear a pin drop. I love Alexa's calming voice, it just soothes my wrecked nerves at the end of the day.
I appreciate that, thank you!

I really enjoy the way you do your makeup, and paired with your soft voice makes it a nice escape from the harsh world we live in. Thank you. 💕
I appreciate that! I know my videos are on the softer side, but aside from getting an external mic, I can't really do anything about it
