I'm sorry for your loss. However, you made a great video. I lost a drone in January 2023 when my controller failed. Two months later, a hiker found it. It flew, but I'm now using it as a backup. Happy holidays.
Man, that sucks. Maybe an even lower altitude, grid search. I think you can still find her. At least it's not broiling hot out there making things more difficult. Hope you had an otherwise nice Thanksgiving. Cheers.
In the past I have found 2 drones because I waited until after sunset to look for them. I found them by the blinking lights. In your case the battery is dead by now. Also from what you say about the terrain there, it's not worth the risk of getting hurt trying to retrieve it. Hopefully DJI will help you with a replacement.
@@lenyfreeman3807 I agree with you about the software glitch. the program should've allowed you to turn back and fly back to you or return home as you did attempt to a few times in the video.
Did you go to the flight logs and pull up the map of your flight ? You can change it to satellite view and get a really good idea where it's at look for a landmark where the flight ended and then send your drone I know from experience you are too high to see it I was flying at about 6 feet off the ground and never did see it and i was right over it but when I hiked in to the landmark I chose near the end of the flight log I fount it pretty quickly.
You have the tools to find it in the go fly app the flight map will lead you right to it ask me how if you are interested in finding your drone i will explain step by step how to find it.
I’m waiting to see what the drone manufacturer does. I really don’t want anyone including myself getting hurt looking for this drone. Good idea though.

Good attempt at finding your drone, but it sure is difficult in this wooded environment. 😉😊
It’s a tough area to search. I have no idea where it could be
2000 + drone i would be up there till i found it lol.
Climbing around these hills is hazardous for an old guy like me 😊

That zone function may be a software defect, or at least needs a feature fix. I don't know much about drones but I was a software tester and support.
