yoo. earlier this month i tried flying in Anaheim but my area was engulfed with the no fly zone and I assumed it was because of the fires. Now it’s removed and displayed as “Enhanced-Warning Zone” and Im able to fly again in Anaheim. Great to know that the map is synced to the FAA.

I don't know what it says but hang gliders have put flags in that spot for the past 50 years. I live in Riverwood and have seen them. They have to be replaced after fires. It used to be orange before. I think it is just to tell them the direction of the wind. They jump off the top of the mountains.

Well if you are flying in the US, 400ft is still the FAA rule. People who fly illegally are the ones who end up causeing more anti-drone laws to be passed, screwing all of us who fly !!!

FWIW, no indication that this works on a Mini 3 Pro or an Avata 2. After all the latest updates, they still max out at 500m above launch in the Safety setting. I did verify with the Avata 2 that I could submit a self defined region unlock request to DJI flysafe with a higher max altitude and if approved, that can be imported into the drone, and activated while in that zone. I used that one in the mountains here this weekend, up to 3000ft. When you say in the description, the "GEO zone I setup", that sounds like an unlocked zone. Are you sure that one is not still active, giving you this ability?

How do you see the drone from 5000 feet away? I can barely see my Mavic Air 2 with strobes at 400 feet.

I think this is a very bad idea...there wil be more stupid things done with drones that will just make it even harder for us "normal", legal operators to enjoy the sport. I think DJI did this to annoy the Feds...

Hey, walked past your car on a walk today and saw the decal on it, so I thought I would check out your channel and decided to give you a follow. I live in the area and last week when the fire was burning I really wanted to get a better view but I don’t have a drone so it was really cool to see your channel and this video.

The wildfire brought me here, lived in Tujunga from 1954 to 1962, last years in 7 hills, ET house was not built yet. A man named Mr. Deliban owned all the surrounding property. He had peacocks. It was not unusual for one or two to hang out in the yard. Pollywog hunting at the tiny dam, digging for fools gold on the hill. Saw one wildfire while living on the hill, contained quickly though. God bless you all and keep you safe. Thank you for posting this, it was great to see.
