Pinned comment for corrections and extra info: 1 - Thank you to Yube for a LOT of the covers and images, he really cut short the editting of the video by around a third. I'll leave a link to his twitter account on my description, so check him out! 2 - Yes, yes, I misspronounced a lot of manga, some of them were excuseable, some of them left me wondering what the fuck I was reading while editing, but you need to realize that every process of this video took a bit of my mental health.
The list of One Shots is a possibility for some future video? How many of these did you have the chance to read? I'm recently challenging myself to go through everyone one in order from the most recent to at least the oldest published in english... and started Jigokutei Higuma this week... and the axe is really mean... From the 731 series published (up to Ruri Dragon) 538 are shorter than 50 chapters aka didn´t complete a year in publication... Ymmv might vary about the few that were planned to really conclude with few volumes though... And there are some that are second chances and continuations too... Até mais ver mr. Poneis
My favourite title names 4:24 14:21 15:45 what the hell is this cover16:23! Great video. Was interesting to see the change in art style, also an increase in English titles. Now do EVERY manga... GO!
Of course, the obvious next step! And yeah, Hentai Kamen is a strange one, but it's pretty funny. And actually quite famous in Japan. There's a couple live action adaptations and everything
Damn man really appreciate the monumental work you put into this. It's also genuinely interesting Also, BAREFOOT GEN is a shounen jump manga?! Holy shiet had no idea
The Gems of Shonen Jump: One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Death Note, D.Gray-Man, Reborn, Boku no Hero, Black Clover, Gintama, Black Cat, Dr.Stone, Haikyu, Saiki, Blue Exorcist
I was going to say your pronunciation doesn't seem so bad but then I kept watching xD Saying so many unfamiliar words so quickly, anyone would have trouble.
When I was editting I caught myself wondering how I misspronounced some of the words to something completely different, lol Thankfully, you can read the correct title
@@MangaCrash actually it is possible as I’m currently doing an ongoing project to buy all jump manga, I have complete 2000s and 2010s, currently 30% into 1990s. I’ve been doing this project for about 5 years now. I’m thinking of uploading the full collection once it’s complete. FYI I have taken magazines into note and also restoring lost manga from early magazines
@@yui3886 The problem will be the 60s and 70s, as some of them never had volumes. You either don't count those (which is fair) or you'd have to get the magazines. But that's a fantastic project nonetheless
@@MangaCrash yes I have put them into account. Recovering the magazines are definitely hard, but I’ve been going into every second hand book store I can find, even just normal thrift stores and I have been able to recover a few in relatively ok condition. This passion project started a few years ago when I read the Shonen jump manga “Because” and couldn’t find anything about it online and anything about its author, making me realise that these people with big dreams, dedication and passion are being lost to time, so my goal is to hopefully once I finished the jump collection, write an entire book called “The Manga Preservation Project” with jump titles being volume 1, where I write the synopsis alongside the cover art next to the text, so like a museum in book format
I hope someone sees this and I'm hoping I'm remembering it correctly but I am Trying to remember a show/anime where these kids controlled puppets with magic books to fight eacher other like pokemon. Can't remember the name tho the main character started off with electric powers and the puppet was blonde I thhhink but again I was like 5-10 at the time lol 😆
Do you know if it was a Shonen Jump series or not? The ones I remember where people used dolls/robots to fight is Medabots and Angelic Layer, but neither used books to control it. Muhyo and Rouji's main character was able to summon a gigantic puppet through his book, but the series wasn't really about that, it was just one of his abilities.
Welp looking again at all those axed manga that i really liked is kinda sad (stealth symphony, double arts, saiyuki, agravity, etc), in the other hand you butchering half the names in the video was funny as fuck.
Claymore is part of Jump SQ, which is a different (monthly) magazine! Also, I listed the issue number of the magazine. Chainsaw-Man debuted on the issue #1 2019, which was released in December of 2018. Its confusing, I know, but we're both correct in this case! Thanks for watching the video!

Yup, I was shocked when I learned that too!
I all was wanted a video on this subject matter thank you sooooo much
Happy I could be of help then!
This video really highlights just how much weekly shonen jump series their been over weekly shonen jumps existence.

18:12 mind assassin all I could think of when you did that was Ross from friends...'unagi' hahah can see all the hard work that's went into this 😀
In another world:
- THE EDGE lasted 97 volumes
- U19 lasted 37 volumes
- Chagecha lasted 26 volumes
- Ole Golazo lasted 45 volumes

Great vid man. I know this took a shit load of work.
More than I'd like to admit, lol
Thank you!
It’s finally here, les gooo!!!
At last is done!
there was a twilight zone manga.
And I still don't know if it's related to the TV show
Mr. Shonen Jump talked it about in a recent video, if you’re curious.
@@pattongilbert okay I will check it out.
need this for Shonen Sunday
If I can find this info for it, I wouldn't mind doing it
Great video, super interesting to watch. I can now with great ease promise myself I will never try to collect every Shonen Jump series
Thank you!
And yeah, I think it's actually impossible since some of them aren't even collected in volume/tankobon format

The show was called Zach bell
I really didn't think it would take 8:42 minutes until I heard a name I recognised. Idek what dr slump is about lmfao
Lol
Dr. Slump isn't really about anything. It's a episodic gag series about a super strong robot that looks like a kid
