- ►On this episode of - The 850 Project- The built RN engine and C70 Convertible subframe are installed in the 850, and we dive into everything that is wiring as we convert our OBD1 LH3.2 car to run on M4.4 with coil packs and variable valve timing. dude aaron is legendary. I wish there was a p2 tuner in the community that was as cool as him, responded as fast, and had such repetitive quality work. Best thing we have is steveo and he's prone to disappear for a year :( Hilton gave me bad info on the first email so I'm considering shark.
Contrast Works is specialized in p2's and had a good rep, he's developing a cnc intake right now
@@UrbanMelon I always hear of Gustav but never see any website or contact info, hard to find, which makes him a bit unreliable in my view
I knew as soon as i didnt see the fuel injector relay something was wrong lol. Been a issue with my car since the plastic connect broke and having to connect the wires directly to the relay. Wish i had a junkyard here.
It was definitely an "Aha!" moment for us!
Oh yeah, that engine sounds good. Now for the suspension and tyres to get that BTCC racing stance...yummy!

I feel You Guys. I have reassembled few volvo engines and it doesn't really matter how much work You have put in until it all comes down to that moment when You start the angine and it starts .... it's that afterglow :D

pretty rookie move not getting pnp continuity. Wouldn't expect that from a gray hair.
The production quality of this project is very good. Ironic, given that you lost the engine installation.

I love every part of this build; except butt connectors on an engine harness... what the actual hell?! This isn’t a car stereo install.

I’m a happy owner of a ‘95 850 GLE and even the smallest and less noisy of the 5cyl family makes me smile when it’s revving between the 3 to 4.5k, wonderful engines, and they can go on and on... Old Volvos are really something special! Looking forward for your next video of the series, keep up the good work! 💪🏻
Can you guys give us info on the head? What valves and cams are in there?
Hi, Drew! The cylinder head has been CNC ported, the cams are ENEM Y21 (264's, 9.6 lift) and intake valves are Manley oversized (unsure of the exact specs on the valves). We purchased a wrecked car with this engine already built. Curious to see how it does in its current state, but we definitely have some plans for improvements in the future!

3:03. Is it really a harness...or do people call it a loom?
Harness (or wiring hraness) is the typical term for the wiring, loom (or wire loom) is what the wires are fed through to group them together, typically a corrugated flexible plastic, hopefully you're never unfortunate enough to run into someone whose used hockey tape

We wanted to stay as true to a kitbashed Volvo as possible. That said a standalone is not out of question for a future iteration!

I bought a 2003 V70 today! 96k, 3750.00 it is immaculate! Not a turb but I will upgrade the suspension, then Maybe consider a +t or total swap. These wagons are highly underated!

I knew exactly what was going on when it wouldn't crank. I remember doing the manual swap, and trying to start it before doing something I can't remember with a green wire.

Not all of them! Although you are probably more likely to find an OBD2 car than these early OBD1 cars.
