The same effect can be achieved from a bite. Within 15 minutes of being bitten, Tesss' wound started to look nasty. Ellie's just looked like a regular wound.
@@SidPhoenix2211 I know but spores make the game cooler especially this kinda scene when Ellie inhales it. Tendrils in the series were amazing but if only they didn’t remove the spores. It would be more horrifying in the second season.
I imagine she’d just get bit or something and would have to calm Dina down before they run. Either that or the scene might not even be in there, since it feels to me like they’ll for the sake of making the story work as best it can on TV will make significant changes to certain plot details to lower the amount of action in it.

I was so scared for Dina that something's gonne happen to her in this mission, she was really exhausted in the tunnels and I was afraid that she can't run anymore from the infected. The game made a good job making us feel for them.
It's strange how I was scared she would live and that's exactly what happened to this shit written character.

Acting’s great for sure that was never a reason people don’t like the game. People don’t like it because it’s so unpleasant and cruel. Like we watch Joel get murdered in the most cruel and disgusting way then play as his murder. But it’s okay because the girl who murdered him doesn’t get any sort of punishment.

Why does this scene give me the butterflies?
If you pay attention to Ellies hands when she is grabbing Dina you can tell she's anemic because of her grayish skin tone. This would further comfirm how she's immune. Because at least as I have heard where Ellie's immunity comes from, Ellie can't turn into a zombie because she is already infected with another kind of cordyceps- (fungus), lower her immune system, fighting off any other kind of cordyceps and resulting in her anemic blood work results which is confirmed in game as her blood work is seen as anemic when they were testing Ellie for the cause of her immunity in, "The Last of Us Part 1." I am open to being wrong here but its a nice detail if its true.
Its a shame this exact sequence won't work for the season 2 show seeing as they removed spores

While yes it could still most likely infect someone though their eye, keeping the mask on and just booking it for an exit is still probably a better AND SAFER idea the “sharing the mask”. Idk.
