When the Souzas take in Paul and Megan, two obstinate teens with lackadaisical attitudes, conflict quickly brews, and the teens dig in their heels. Mr. Souza may have been stern, but, was also fair when then teens arrived. He made it clear he and his family have rules and guidelines the teens need to follow, and if they couldn't follow any of the family's rules, they could get back in the car and leave.

It's so obvious why Paul takes advantage of his mother. She cleans up his room when he can do it himself!

I feel like Paul is the only mature and respectful person throughout this episode.
My husband was deployed and my 9 year old Son didn’t want to follow the rules of the house and I made him stand outside. 15 minutes is what he lasted. He still remembers this and is now 21. Parents need to lay down the law, set rules and boundaries at an early age.

The title for this video is wrong. The punishment was shoveling manure not cleaning toilets.
I think what the father said the minute they got there is what every parent needs to tell their children in general if you are not willing to respect the rules of the world you are more than welcome to leave and when I say that I mean leave the world period you see nobody is really needed think about that and think wisely

I like farm life, so mucking stalls and manuring the garden aren’t really punishments to me. Work, yes, but work that’s rewarding when you see the results. As for ciggies in tampon containers? That’s not at all clever. Girls did it all the time in the ‘60s when I was in boarding school.

Mr Souza, he was stern at first with the teens but I kind of like him actually as he is not always stern.

Not to mention but IMHO about this Megan in the Souza family seems to be quite the opposite of the Megan in the Brown family because the Megan in the Brown family seems to understand how hard work is than the Megan you can see here in the Souza family is griping about doing hard-work
