@elijah mikle i don't know if this was a constant thing but if you decide to attack them while doing the quest it triggers a bug that leaves the quest stuck in your quest log had to reload and warn hallie about them to get additional wasteland refugee rep. and then give up on the 2nd code. its really up to you if your aiming for the best ending which is either

side with the patriarch and save ranger HQ at AZ or make it so that you have positive reps with all factions to get the peaceful transfer of power ending... to get this you have to be loved by all factions at least this is what i did in my play through
you dont need to unlock the second room from the slave trapper, just the first, and then u do just the same without the hat item. in addition, u get a + 12% crit helm for ur sniper later, and all other stuff is standard stuff, no uniques u def need. so 3% more crit is not worth to throw my code of honor aboard.
Your right, you don't need the helmet to get into the side room. Just have anyone stand there and have someone else hit the main computer.

Is there any way to reach the vault without helping La Perla? I have killed her but did not get any key card.

La Perla quest was bugged before the recent patch. I don't know the situation has been changed or not. I think Wasteland 3 should be played after 2/3 months when the devs finally fixed everything.
ACTUALLY you can get the third door loots WITHOUT giving away Hallie then ATTACK the Slaver ? WIN WIN.
The trick is by bring any animal companion with you to the front of third door. Positioning a character exactly in front of door (really close to it)
Dismiss the Animal and having a character throw Grenade to it which is entering the Combat.
The Character whom stand close to door now can move INSIDE and Open the Weapons Crate. Btw , the Second Crate contains random second weapon besides Power Glove be free to reroll untill you get 2nd Lv.21 Weapon you wanted. For Me , The Ripper SMG.

@@ruralracer99 Yo very late for that but you can just use the truck on the garage. It doesn't need all characters there to be used and you can go out to the world map this way.
Somebody told me that you can find the plasma fist/gauntlet whatever it's called, in the vault is that true?
This quest never triggered for me as in I never saw them at all. SMH.

I killed them and let me tell you it was a tough fight
Me and my friend heat her easily. We had a sniper crit like 1500 and she died immediately. The helo from tje rangers was pretty cool seeing them actually fight
@@thatguyukno41 yea i just got a very small mission where the Reed couple had bombs in their chests but turn out to be an ambush and got wiped out immediately by the Ranger NPCs

I did not do all that for the last part, I had a rocket launcher so that was my way in.....I mean it worked lol

@@Cb125firstbike This might of been before or even after certain updates allowing for players to destroy those doors and avoid having to make a ‘difficult’ decision.
Was hoping there was another way, I just gunned down la perla. Maybe if you find their base in the overworld

are you talking about first or second wall? second wall is immune to my attacks no matter what i do
I did this, but I really expected to double cross La Perla and let the girl go. Felt really bad after things got out of hand.
Shame you can't unlock this without helping the slavers. If you can i don't know how yet.
I can bet there is a way later to get in without working with thr scumbag slavers

You don’t need any special helmet for the secret room, I just made sure it was the ranger that had their picture taken when you first reboot War room. Not sure even that matters though.

Only uniques are guarantee

The helmet that gives 15 percent crit chance would be worth it alone that shit is op on a sniper or sneak explosive character the loot there carries hard all for some nobody character easy trade
I got the Argent2000 with the helmet. Critting enemies for 5k is amazing.

A bit of lore and character backgrounds as lots of characters and names from w2 appear. Story continues directly as well.
I would say that having played Wasteland 2 first is immensely helpful in terms of lore, characters, and gameplay, but you can get by without having played it.
