That could’ve easily been me. After getting stage 2 cams and tune from Indian, adding a 2-1 exhaust… engine was running extremely hot, dying while idling. Lloydz tune saved it from grenadine itself l. Thank you guys !

I got the Lloyds tune on my RM. Bike was smoother, added some power, cooler. I did the Freedom True Dual exhaust w/K&N filter in stock air box. Rode w/o a tune for about while forgot the miles. It runs great in the summer which before didn't. If all you are going to do is just change the muffler? No issue, but if you change or alter air box you need a tune. What I'd do different? Keep stock Indian headers.
Shame Indian have pulled the pin on performance tune ups in Australia.
I am looking at the Sport Chief. Much less parts avail for Indians. Curious where is your shop? Nyc? Or NC? Asking since the best option is dyno tuning. Have tuners unlocked the Chief ECU? Or is it still locked? I would opt cam instake sawiki/lloyd exhaust with a baffle to tame the noise a bit
How often do you have to tune your bike with after market exhaust?
I had this tune done and it didn’t change anything. As a matter of fact, my bike stalled out and engine light came on. Says both cylinders are misfiring. So I spent $500 for what exactly? I didn’t feel any upgrade in power or performance, the engine is just as hot as before, it’s not any smoother and I’m disappointed as hell! I just had it done 2 days ago. Hopefully the Indian dealer I went to will do the right thing and tow my bike back and re-do this thing, with the actual positive results you claim here. I felt zero difference and got stuck. So pissed! And I rode 2.5 hours to get there!!

They said the service manager would call me back, but he has not yet.
However, my concern is that upon leaving the dealership, I was expecting some type of positive results. But I did not. No power increase, no throttle response increase, no minimizing of vibration and the engine still ran just as hot IMHO.

Every bike, every rider, is obviously different... at what mileage did this rider encounter this failure?
You're very right. It wasn't mileage as much as his intake/ exhaust set up.
