Rippetoe: First, you need to gain some weight.

You can't weight 80kg and have 350kg deadlift

@@Guezz87 Why would a random person that's not a powerlifter have to deadlift 350kg, it just seems like you're putting your health at risk for no reason, 100kg+ is way too much.

it's unlikely that extra body fat will be detrimental, when you are very strong, because it trains your cardiovasc to a decent extent and strength itself is one of the best indicators of health in general. Makes it that much harder for diseases or anything to harm you
And we know that older people who have good grip strength are also less likely to get sick

He's 'been doing the novice linear progression for 3 months'. Doesn't mean he doesn't have previous experience training or working a manual labour job etc

It's possible he's a fireman or construction worker. They tend to be strong as fuck from the get go, due to their work. Or he has been a lifter in the past and just now got back into it through SS.
But it's impossible to tell if he's serious, nor can we judge his depth based on a phone call. Feeling like you hit depth and actually hitting depth are two different things.

I'm a stocky 5'9 and was squatting 405+ in 2 months at 20 years old at 230-240lbs. I am as wide as a barn door. My older brother is the exact same build as me but with slightly longer limbs and his sophomore year of high school was squatting 405 for sets of 5 at 220lbs. I went to school with a half Filipino and half Samoan kid who squatted 495lbs his first day, was benching 250 for sets of 10, etc at 6'1 250lbs.
