i got to see him in washington a few weeks ago and it wasnt one of his best outings unfortunately...this guy is a future cy young award winner...and its going to be routine for 200 strikeouts every year...i think he has like 170 right now after tonight
I grew up with the Braves & Led Zepplin since 1969 & Strider loves both & thats alright with me! I hope you have a great long career & hopefully you will be in ATL ✌💖☮
The Braves are becoming the 2000s New England Patriots of the MLB. Smart drafting, great farm system and a core of young talent that is there to win. Can you say dynasty anyone. Go braves!
How can you not like Spencer. He's just happy yo be part of the braves. I think come post season he might be a huge part of the bull pen if Soroka is back and healthy. Imagine Strider coming in 7th and 8th innings and maybe starting the day after travel games.
@@mrdost6221 I'm a huge braves fan! I want Spencer having the ball more than once every 6 days "IF" Soroka gets back. The braves bullpen is the only lacking element! While I agree Strider has been dominant over this year he's A Rookie. I think he's more valuable in the bullpen in post season than Starting. Just my opinion! Elite is doing it year after year! I think he can be elite, we shall see! It's funny you think I was trying to say he's not good enough. Y'all people just take anything and run with it. What would you rather have Strider pitch in 2 maybe 3 games shutting down late innings in a series or 1 start in a series. All this is only if Soroka comes back healthy like I said!
Soroka hasn't pitched at the major league level in 2 years. I don't think you throw him into a starter's role right away. Bullpen for Soroka might be the better option.
Incredible pitcher…great interview! He’s so cerebral when he’s talking about pitching. Reminds me of Maddux. Would love to hear an interview with Dana Brown. Our scouting is top notch!!
First time I saw him pitch I thought, 'who is this Freddie Mercury mustache guy?' Now that I've seen him pitch with sooooooo many strikeouts, oh man. He really should incorporate Queen's "Another one bites the dust" into his walk-on song rotation.
A harder throwing version of a young Tim Lincecum....He can't last long as a starter throwing 100+ every start, but he could be a top notch reliever like Smoltz later in his career.
The Mad Professor was throwing 85 - 86 MPH fastballs his last year. Few pitchers retain his velocity fimor very long. He'll need to add pitches once his velocity begins to drop.
This may have been released 3 days ago, but it was clearly recorded prior to Thursday orwe would've been hearing about his reaction to 16 Ks... Too bad .. wouldve lived to have heard his take and feelings and emotions on that and how he felt when he learned he broke Smoltz's city franchise record
Spencer Strider should become the Braves closer, as John Smoltz became the closer after many seasons as a starter. They are similar in their two dominating pitches and the Braves have many young starters competing for the final two spots in the rotation. The only weakness on the 2023 Braves team is the closer. Pass this on to the team.
An elite pitcher, 16 strikeouts holy smokes, plus he's smart and articulate. I'm glad he's a Brave.
Have they locked him up yet? I guess not yet. BIG contract coming his way. I love how pumped he was after throwing that last strike.
Spencer is really likable. Well spoken, humble, and very confident. And any young 20 something who name drops Zeppelin and Miles is okay with me.
definitely agree his vibe is just contagious to like him
don’t forget the amazing mustache
@@troy______ How could anyone forget that glorious stache?
totally agreed. I really like him
Pretty awesome coincidence this episode got released the same day he set the Braves record for a single game strikeouts. This dude is electric
Cool interview, and now he's set the all-time Braves record for strikeouts, what a year.
This man rocks! And so does the ‘stache! He’s killing it on the mound! Chop on Strider!! He’s our Huckleberry!
my man must have listened to a lot of Strokes today, pitched the game of his life tonight!
Strider might be my new favorite Braves player. God please keep him healthy this dude is special
might be my favorite pitcher i’ve ever watched in my lifetime
Hope he’s back next year
as a braves fan since 1981 i think Hes a brave for life
ben's voice is enchanting, it almost doesnt seem real. im i the only one who thinks this?
Yea you aren’t. I always thought he was older than he is his voice seems like that of someone who is several decades older than him
It's really one of the best voices I've ever heard, no lie.
I was shocked to see he was NOT 80+ years old with generations of baseball, after listening to him for years
It’s the aural equivalent of Strider’s mustache.
Yes you are
16 Strikeouts For Strider Go Braves Baby
What a great organization the Braves have. Spencer is another testament to it.
So glad he’s a Brave!! Love seeing what Atlanta is building.
Can't wait to see this guy tonight
And you did. 16 Ks! 😯

Loving that Dr. Strange shirt too! Loving this kid more and more every day! Go Braves!!!
Good Job Strider That Was Awesome Pitching
Legend
Go Braves
Being completely honest I enjoy what this. This dude really seems cool.
The Braves are becoming the 2000s New England Patriots of the MLB. Smart drafting, great farm system and a core of young talent that is there to win. Can you say dynasty anyone. Go braves!
Really like this guy. Best of luck to him .
I am a Seminole fan. I knew he pitched for Clemson, just now remembering the nightmares of the handle bar mustache

Lol what? He’s an elite starting pitcher

Ben,
Great interview, very cool Omega Divers!!
Brilliant young man…so talented 🥰
Incredible pitcher…great interview!

Looks like y'all need to do this again in a couple days
lawwwwdhammercies i cain't believe that truck didn't burst into flames with all that hotness up in thurrrrr 🔥🔥🔥
You Braves are the best next season. I know that you were in the World Series.
A harder throwing version of a young Tim Lincecum....He can't last long as a starter throwing 100+ every start, but he could be a top notch reliever like Smoltz later in his career.

He is fit for a closer, he will replace Jenson as closer.
16 strikeouts... a rookie!?! This dude is ice cold, I think we'll be talking about him for a long time.
“She was too popular for me until senior year” aka senior year he committed to clemson😂😂😂
Riding with Mr Strikeout himself, the Stache, Spencer Strider.
He really seems to take everything in stride.
Strider!
Love his shirt!
Fun interview. Any ideas on where to get the shirt Spencer is wearing?
he's really only a year older than me. damn!
Spencer's girl saw that state playoff stache and it was game over!
Baseball fan and watch nerd here. I’m liking Ben’s Omega Planet Ocean
Are we looking at the next Greg Maddox or John Smoltz? Or maybe a combination of the 2?
My thoughts exactly. Hopefully not the next Woods.......
Nothing he does is similar to Maddux except for the unifrom he wears.
he sound nothing like i excepted- 😄😄
My favorite pitcher! Can't wait for my favorite player Ozzie Albies to come back!
Soon! CHOP ON!!🪓🪓
i remember his announcer voice clear as day
I wonder if "Ode To The Mets" is left off the playlist for Strokes Day?😂
the 🐐
"For my next start, i think i am gonna strikeout 15 of those Rockies..." -- Strider allegedly said
Then he lied cause he struck out 16
Strider rocking a WHOOP! ?
Why didn't they let him finish to game it was going into the 9th ending?
That fastball got rocked by so many Phillies he had to develop another pitch.
"Whatever role you need me.". Then fella fans 16.
Strokes fan since 2002

Is Spencer the new most interesting man in baseball? I’ve sure looks like it
Cool kid
Still feels weird to here that voice come out of that person. Only used to hearing his voice haha
I thought Ben Ingram was grown from the wild west.
Just eating bark.
His voice is very cleansing.
I just thought he had a lot of work on the chin.
This interview was right before the Phillies violated Spencer and the Bravettes
strokes buff
forget the moustache... check out that movie star quality 'do
He wuld be my closer in the playoffs..braves have no other option..janson cant seemed to do it
Janson seems fine until he gets a runner on base. He's SO EFFING SLOW to home that anyone runs on him at will!
@@rickmasseur2008 yea it’s feeling like it might be a problem…. But he’s been one of the best for years
He is definitely pitching at a high level but the stache looks like a dead Caterpillar. 😂😭
Lol that is a very weird thing to associate with mustache
You have apparently came across some very strange catapilers
I'd really like to see him with his shirt OFF, if possible next time. Just sayin' 🤣😂
Ben looks like he smells like old spice.
He's been "lucky" all season and has had a very wide strike zone from the umpires.
Kinda like Scherzer
You mets fans took that comment to heart 😂😂
Is somebody in their feelings because the Braves made the Mets their bitch?
Really u had to set a premiere that’s just sad
Yeah
It really is
Ben Ingram, the best announcer in the MLB, and how grateful we are to have him for our Braves
So glad he’s a Brave!! Love seeing what Atlanta is building.
