    🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴
    ✅Ingredients
    APPLE FILLING:
    • 3 to 5 pounds granny smith apples, peeled cored and sliced
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    COBBLER BATTER:
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • ¾ cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tablespoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • ½ cup cold butter, diced
    • 1 cup half and half
    🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴
    ✅Instructions
00:00:22 - peel, core and slice apples
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2️⃣ 00:01:01 - In a medium-size mixing bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Spread them out in an even layer in the 9×13 pan.
3️⃣ 00:01:54 - In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, and salt. Use a pastry cutter to cut in butter until it resembles a course meal, or pulse the whole thing together in a food processor.
4️⃣ 00:02:57 - Pour in half and half and stir to form a thick batter.
5️⃣ 00:03:05 - Scoop the batter in large clumps on top of the apples to form a rustic cobbler crust.
6️⃣ 00:03:24 - Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

I top the crust off with cinnamon & brown sugar & from time to time, I add pecans as well! So delicious & simple.

This is the 3rd time I've made this delicious desert and I've got the whole recipe memorized. I got a good food processor this time and it made things a breeze. I didn't change anything except to use Gala Apples because that was all the store had; and they were cheap. Talk about delicious. My 92 year old mom loved it each time. I can't wait to see more of your recipes.

Great recipe. I use lemon zest, ginger, and allspice as topping for the crust. Try it - it adds special flavor. :)

The one in this video is like a 5 year old one (: So really any one you have or can get should be fine as long as the reviews are ok.

I had access to the mixing parts of a sears model 400. But I've burned up every one of the motors. They
re just too old. With the last one,, I completed the cobbler but while mixing the topping, the motor gave out. But not before the excellent batch of cobbler and topping, which I love to this day. That's why I was wondering which kind you used. It's important to me. I love your recipe and it is "to die for".

Thanks, but it looks like there was a lot of batter left. My mom made the best cobbler's because the dollops of batter went into a liquidy mixture and wasn't dry like this. How do you think she made it? She is no longer alive for me to ask.

Ya, I don’t add any motor oil to please the “that looks fry crowd” like most traditional food publications. It feels deceptive and dishonest to me.
