The reality is that the twenty northern counties have no representation in the state of California. The fifteen San Joaquin Valley and Eastern Sierra counties have no representation. In 1964 the Warren Supreme Court ruled in Reynolds vs. Sims that the states could no longer use the federal model of a state senator for each county, but must elect state senators by population. This ruling should hold true for the US Senate as well, making two senators per state unconstitutional. There are 38 million residents in California. Over 19 million live in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and San Francisco County. Should four counties be able to control the other fifty four counties? I don't think this is right and I will take a stand for liberty. The best example of this abuse of power is the Fire Protection Fee.
