Thank you so much for sharing. One of my friend gave me a few banana trees and I have got no clue how to look after them. So glad that I found your channel. You are truly professional. Thanks again very much appreciated 👍 🙏
Love your garden, envious of your ginger lilly, I've tried but without success. I also have several banana plants which are doing well despite the harsh winter last year. Happy gardening.
really inspiring!! i live in Italy (N/E) and the weather unfortunately got much drier (which is a cons) and hotter (which is a pros).. i will follow your videos in order to try to have my personal jungle garden next year :) a question.. how is your soil? mine is very hard and wet (Clay); do you think it'd be a problem?
I bought taro bulbs from the grocery store a few years back that I believe are Colocasia esculenta and grew them in pots and my garden. I’m in a USDA zone 8b, lowest temp usually around -10C. The one that I left in my garden with minimal mulch and our exceedingly wet winters is the only one that survived. It never gets very big because our springs are quite cold and wet. By the time it emerges it’s being shaded by other plants. But this was its 3rd year returning. I’m quite amazed and will probably move it next year so it gets more sun and hopefully grows a bit bigger

Love tropical plants, your border looks fab
Thank you Marianne. And we can thank the horses too 😊
Looks great. Amazing that you can grow plants like this with a bit of winter mulching 😊.
Thank you for this one. I hadn’t considered using weed sheeting over the mulch, good to know👌
Beautiful.. until it's gone. :D

Hello. I'm originally from Rochdale Lancashire. But it is Northern and not far from Yorkshire. Mark

I love hearing stories like this. What time if year did you plant the original bulb? Mark
