Podocarpus is our big yellowwood tree from SA.
Thanks so much for this video Craig. Was needing ideas for some more unusual but hardy plants. Now I have it!....just hope I can find them here in France.
No problem, thanks for watching! The Brassaiopsis is a lot more easy to find in France that it is here in the UK 👍
Nice, I just planted 2 Setaria Palmifolia last week 😎 And added the Geranium to the list!
Nice!! I love plants with eye-catching foliage 🪴
Really like these style of videos and was expecting the plants to be ones I already know, but I added a couple to my ever growing list…cheers
Glad you like them! I’ll try to plan a few more 😀🌴🪴🌱
Thanks Craig there some that l need to get .
Have you tried any gardenia outside ? Thank you
Loved this Graig. I have a Maderense that should flower next year and another the year after. They are great plants. I have a geranium palmatum too. The leaves are really similar, it’s slightly smaller, but the flowers are the same, (fewer though.) It is though, reliably perennial and hardy, unlike Maderense, which dies after flowering.
Yes Geranium palmatum as another great one, we’ve currently got some growing from seed. 🌱
I have a tetrapanix rexthat’s 2 years old that I’m training into a tree shape. Absolutely stunning. It’s having babies all over the place! 😅 Also a pseudopanax laetus that’s growing really well 😊
That’s one of my favourite Pseudopanax, ours is become quite large now!
Great vedio definitely going add a phew of these. What is that purple tall plant behind you called please Craig?
It’s Sambucas nigra ‘Blue Sheen’, completely hardy and adds great contrast in our garden.
thanks for the video im trying to grow tropical looking plants in pots all time as i have no were to plant them out wonder if u have a list of any they dont mind being in pots thanks
There are lots that can grow in pot, we’re creating a garden with loads of plants in pots at the moment so keep your eyes out for our videos about that 🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴
Just a couple of questions Craig. I have a bathroom windowsill to junglify. It gets good light all day, albeit through frosted glass and maybe an hour or so of direct evening sun. Windowsill is abot 30 by 90cm. I was thinking of a planter with height restricted tetrapanax papyfira for a canopy, understory of that begonia and a few bromeliads, epiphytic and terrestrial. Do you think that would work? Does the tetra get a big rootball if kept height testricted. Ie. Am i likely to need a deep planter? 😁 Thank you. 🙂
That could work, but Tetrapanax do benefit from large containers for their roots 👍
@@GrowParadise cheers. I think I can work that in. 😁
Lovely, one of the Begonia I still want. I have Grandis 'Evansiana' and Grandis ssp. Holostyla 'Nanjiang Silver' in the garden at the moment, more will be added in the future :) Does this one also come up in may? I don't know if they all do...
They are all relatively late the join the garden party each year but it massively depends on the seasons weather really.
@@GrowParadise not having a greenhouse makes these kinds of things pretty handy to know :)
Only 1 year in my garden tetrapanex is spreading EVERYWHERE!!!
Oh my you've got a feisty one, mine has also been in the ground and has put out 1 pup.. It'll probably get to that phase later 😆
Very hard to find podocarpus henkelii , begonia pedatifida no one got them are you going to have them sometime Craig.
I propagate hardy begonia plants for autumn sale usually 👍
😻😻😻😻😻😻
Personally I'll pass on the spikes and thorns
Yes, they do divide people 🤣
Please can you add chapters?
