Perfection is not in this world but this garden comes very close. The design, the choice of plants and the quality of the gardener's work shine at every step. What sweetness in the cohabitation of the arid zone and the jungle. I really like the peaceful harmony of this little paradise.
Beautiful tour and garden. Great work producing a cover for the standard americana. The variagated agave and mediopicta I've had outdoors for 6 years up in Newcastle in raised beds which stay out all winter with simple overhead protection. I've found them just as tough as the standard up here. Mediopicta's my favourite. Thanks for the cool tour
Thank you. Interesting to hear that you’ve found the variegated Americanas to be as tough as the standard one. Can I ask what your lowest temps have been in your hat time. I would guess Newcastle is more challenging than down here. Cheers for the comment i appreciate the feedback.
I’ve watched this 3 times. Such a beautiful well constructed garden. Appreciate you taking the time to share it with us. Learned a lot and got some new ideas for my jungle garden
What an amazing garden. I can appreciate the months of dedication and hard work that go into making such a masterpiece: creating a tropical paradise in the UK climate is a true labour of love - and to do it this well is inspired.
Hi and thank you. Yes this garden is in the U.K and it shows what can be created over time if you have passion and dedication for this style of gardening. Cheers
Would like to see the stumpery in winter. I’m always curious how these tropical style gardens look in winter, in general. Thank you; it’s another great video
Hi and thank you. I see the Stumpery earlier in the season this year and the logs were really nice and full Of character. I hadn’t noticed them before on my previous video. A great way to add interest in the colder months. This garden has lots of tenders but still has a hardy evergreen backbone for winter. It just turns into something very special in summer. Cheers.
Superb! What an excellent tropical style garden, I used to have a koi pond, it was never as clear at this one, it takes a tremendous amount of work. Well done, absolutely love it!
I think words like amazing and stunning are thrown around a little too easily these days, but definitely not when it comes to this garden! Hard to think of words to describe it better, actually! Is that a Solanum quitoense under that Schefflera macrophyla? It almost steals the thunder!
Hi. So Bromeliads generally are not hardy in the U.K. We tend to bring them out for the summer months and then keep in frost free greenhouses for the colder months. It’s a quick process and they don’t take up much room as they can be hung up high in the greenhouse. Cheers.
Is that a monstera at 17:08 This is the garden that all should aspire to. I dont think I've seen better. Mines a few quid and a lot of hours work away from this 😂
Hi. This garden is in Irthlingborough near Wellingborough he does tend to open it for charity most years. I’m in Peterborough and it’s about 40 minutes drive from mine.
Hi. So the zones are similar to to the US zones regarding minimum temperatures. The main difference is our winters tend to be wet and cold which causes rot with lots of plants. In the U.K. ours summers don’t tend to get the summer heat that the equivalent zones do in the US. The South of the U.K. is more mild than the north but generally we have to allow for temps in winter of -5 to -10 Celsius 5 Fahrenheit to 23 Fahrenheit. We tend to find lots of plants that can take these temperatures and stay out with a tropical look. Then add tender plants that we need to protect or bring in for the winter. Thank you for the question.
Hi. Lots of the plants can stay out in winter but lots of the plants also need to be protected inside a greenhouse or conservatory to keep them dry or frost free. Cheers.

Sorry, I have a question for you. But in the winter in the U.K. do these succulents and tropical plants survive outside?
Hi. Lots of the plants can stay out in winter but lots of the plants also need to be protected inside a greenhouse or conservatory to keep them dry or frost free. Cheers.
